Chapter 19 - 19

Ha~"

On a boring school day, Yueshu yawned boredly.

It was Konoha as usual, the weather was as usual, and class time was as usual, making everyone sleepy.

Yueshu even felt that perhaps the system's task was to make him less bored.

He hadn't felt anything before, but after the system task appeared and Yueshu's goal shifted to graduating early, that sense of monotonous boredom from living day by day surged forth.

"Yueshu, Yueshu."

"Huh? Is school over?"

Carelessly, Yueshu succumbed to his drowsiness and fell asleep directly. It was a while before a voice woke him.

"School's not out that early, but the teacher seems to be calling you."

Opening his eyes, the first thing he saw was that wisp of red hair.

That's right, it was Kushina, who sat at the desk in front of Yueshu.

"Teacher? Why is she calling me?"

"I don't know, go find her, then you'll know, won't you?"

Kushina shook her head.

Sighing, Yueshu had no choice but to get up and find the teacher.

To be honest, he felt it would be better to continue sleeping. Guiding the two girls in special training all day for the past few days had been quite tiring.

Although saying that made Yueshu himself feel a bit ashamed, after all, it was the two girls who were training, not him, so it wasn't really that tiring.

Leaving that aside, Yueshu walked out of the classroom, yawning as he went.

"He looks very tired."

Mikoto walked over from the side, stood next to Kushina, and looked at Yueshu's back.

"Tired, my foot! What's he tired of? We're the ones training! This guy usually just sleeps and only occasionally wakes up to teach us."

Kushina complained. For the past few days, they had been sweating profusely in special training, while Yueshu had been sleeping soundly on the side.

"Haha, that's true."

Mikoto chuckled softly.

"But he's very reliable, you know. He's never asleep when we need help."

"Hmph, he's barely decent, I guess."

Yueshu didn't know that Mikoto and Kushina were talking about him behind his back. He had already reached the teacher's office.

Pushing open the door, the office scene was before his eyes.

"Eh?"

"Yo, long time no see, Yueshu."

Yueshu froze. Even he hadn't expected Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze to be in the office.

"How's it going, kid? Is school life good?"

Jiraiya also saw Yueshu, turned his head, and spoke to him.

"Still the same, I guess. No, wait!"

"Why are you two here?"

Yueshu quickly scanned the room but found no one else besides Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze.

"No need to look, I was looking for you."

Jiraiya's voice entered his ears, and Yueshu focused his gaze on Jiraiya.

"Catch."

Jiraiya flung something over, and Yueshu instinctively caught it.

"Alright, that's done. Let's go, Minato."

"Huh?"

Yueshu looked at Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze, who were already planning to leave, and immediately spoke up.

"What's going on? This thing—"

Just as he was about to reveal the item in his hand to get a good look, Jiraiya's voice stopped him.

"I think you can look at that thing by yourself later."

As Jiraiya's voice faded, Yueshu's movements stopped.

"What do you mean?"

Yueshu's voice also became much fainter, and he glanced at Jiraiya.

"That's your business. See for yourself."

After saying that, Jiraiya walked out of the office.

Minato Namikaze followed behind him, making an apologetic gesture.

"Sorry, I'm not very clear either. Jiraiya-sensei didn't tell anyone."

Minato Namikaze said softly. Jiraiya was already urging him from outside. With no other choice, Minato Namikaze had to run out after him.

As the footsteps faded in his ears, Yueshu slowly unfolded the item in his hand.

What met his eyes was a token. The token felt substantial in his hand, and to the naked eye, it looked very ancient, full of the scent of history.

Yueshu's breathing grew heavy.

This wasn't because he had seen an antique, but because there were words carved on the token.

Himegami!

That was the surname of this body Yueshu inhabited.

The token was carved with the two characters Himegami, and a dark red color stained one-third of the token, including the carved characters Himegami.

Yueshu stood frozen in place, and after a long while, he revealed a somewhat self-mocking smile.

Hey, hey!

God, is this really Hokage?

For the first time, Yueshu had such a thought.

The things he had previously ignored and not delved into were finally laid bare before him.

When did he transmigrate? What was the reason?

Why was the only thing he remembered after transmigrating his name? After all, Yueshu had never heard of the surname Himegami in Hokage in his previous life.

At first glance, it might have seemed like just an ordinary commoner, but now Yueshu's conjecture was shattered.

Undoubtedly, Yueshu's current body was not that of an ordinary person. As for what it was, Yueshu had no idea.

From the time he transmigrated to his first battle, Yueshu had encountered many strange things.

After he first ended that Rain Ninja, Yueshu truly felt the reality of this world.

This was not the so-called anime Hokage, not that Hokage separated by a screen and dimension, but a world that truly existed, in the flesh.

"Yueshu, how was it? What did the teacher say?"

While Yueshu was still lost in thought, Kushina had already come knocking.

"Eh? Kushina, why are you here?"

"Why? School's already out, you know. We're going to special training. Seriously, I don't know what you're doing, standing here with no teacher around."

Yueshu quietly put away the token. Kushina didn't see anything, but she was bewildered by Yueshu standing there dumbfounded.

"Is school already out?"

"What else?"

"Then let's go to special training together. There's not much time."

Yueshu ignored Kushina and immediately started moving, slowly pushing Kushina away.

"Wait."

Kushina was passively pushed by Yueshu, completely confused about the situation.

"You're actually taking the initiative to drag us to special training?"

Kushina's eyes showed a hint of disbelief.

Although Yueshu was the one who suggested graduating early together, he spent about half of the special training time sleeping. This made Kushina find it unbelievable.

"Why wouldn't I? Let's go, let's go."

Yueshu responded weakly, then pushed Kushina and walked away.

Kushina was also helpless and could only be pushed along by Yueshu.

What she didn't know was that Yueshu's expression behind her was not his usual lazy one, but one of calm.

Yueshu's eyes seemed to glow, fixed intently forward, and in them was not just the red figure in front of him.

With the plot developing outside of the original work, and things not described in Hokage, Yueshu couldn't quite articulate his feelings.

Although this body wasn't strictly his own, there was a persistence in his heart.

A persistence from the depths of his soul.

It became even more evident after seeing the token carved with Himegami.

Yueshu could clearly feel his heart beating, its speed faster than ever before.

Yueshu secretly took a deep breath, and finally, he made a decision.

He must figure out the origin of Himegami. If this persistence belonged to the original owner of this body, then Yueshu also had the obligation to help him fulfill it.

With his resolve set and his goal determined, the next step naturally emerged.

It was simple: Jiraiya, who gave him this token, definitely knew something, even if it was little, it was better than nothing.

Thinking this, Yueshu's eyes, for once, became serious, though only for a fleeting moment.
