Chapter 74 - Visions Under the Broken Sky

"It wasn't a baby the wife gave birth to. It was a monster!" Elina said, her voice echoing heavy with pressure as she turned a sharp gaze at Nich.

 

After her last statement, no one spoke; no one asked another question. They just stood there, staring at each other, until Elina began moving toward where they had parked the car.

 

Outside the barracks wall, countless people holding their bags walked, hurling insults at the soldiers keeping watch and checking those wanting to enter the city.

 

No matter how much the soldiers tried comforting them to stop, the insults went on and on to the extent of insulting the government of Westeros at large.

 

At the junction leading to the alley, countless people stood there, shouting and raising their arms at the soldiers trying to bring peace.
