"What's going on?" Clara said, staring at the faces of those staring at her as she halted behind Kai's door.
No one answered her; all they did was shake their heads, murmur words only their ears could hear, and walk, descending the staircase, while others also climbed the one leading to the third floor.
Raising a hand to knock on the door, Clara hesitated, turned and tilted her head, wanting to ask them once more, but saw no one standing either behind her or beside her.
When Clara turned back and opened the door, she saw Kai sitting on his bed and staring at the open door as if he knew someone would walk in at that particular time.
She didn't speak when she saw him, but Kai saw the shock flowing through her by reading her facial expression.
"Good morning, Kai. How are you doing?" Clara said as she moved toward the bed and sat beside Kai, who was still staring at her.
