"Not so fast," a loud voice echoed from behind Kai, followed by a kick that sent him flying face-forward.
A loud metal crashing sound erupted the moment Kai's body slammed into the front of the building without a door.
Leaves and dust swirled up around him like fire, stinging into his eyes and mouth.
"Oouch," Kai muttered under his breath as he pushed himself up. He brushed the dust from his chest and his black trousers.
His expression changed from anger to shock the moment he raised his head and saw another Yung Mai closing in.
At that instant, the old Yung Mai he'd sliced the sword at his waist blasted into smoke that tilted toward the one closing in on Kai.
"HOW?!" Kai's eyes widened as he screamed in shock.
The sword held tightly under Kai's grip trembled the moment he tried to tighten his grip on it.
