Prologue

A beautiful black-haired girl adjusted her glasses and calmly said,

"Sir, as I can see in the system's profit chart, I think it's time."

A man in a black suit, probably in his late twenties, was standing in front of a large glass window, gazing down at the glittering cityscape below. From that height, everything looked so tiny — the cars like fireflies, and the lights scattered across the city like stars.

He had grown to love such scenery.

The man turned around and said kindly,

"So finally, after a long time, I need to make a decision."

His expression looked slightly sore, as if the choice he had to make weighed heavily on him.

Then he spoke — not loudly, but firmly.

"Idle System."

A blue screen appeared before him. The girl didn't seem surprised.

As the man looked at the glowing interface, a faint smile formed on his lips.

Why did he smile?

Who is this man?

And most importantly — what is the Idle System?

Yes, this is the story of a man who seemingly did nothing in his life, yet stands at the very peak of it.

How did he get there?

To find out, you must see the story from the very beginning.
