Chapter 3 - Bab.3

The kitchen bar was silent, only the ticking of the wall clock and the sound of the night wind passing through the large glass could be heard.

Li Yuan Bo raised his glass again, sipping slowly. His gaze was steady, his face calm, yet there was a weight hidden behind his eyes.

"Yu Cen, three years is not a short time. We've lasted this far… but I can't keep delaying."

Yu Cen twisted the ring on his finger, a thin smile gracing his face. A smile that looked more like a shield than happiness. "You speak as if I don't know the kind of world we're facing."

Li Yuan Bo leaned his body slightly forward. "You know better than anyone. You live under camera flashes every day. Do you think a relationship like this can be hidden forever?"

Yu Cen lit a new cigarette, inhaled deeply, then exhaled slowly into the air. His gaze remained cold, full of authority. "I never cared about the world. They can guess, write, judge. But I remain Yu Cen."

"Yes." Yuan Bo smiled faintly, admiration in his voice.

"That's what makes me stay by your side. Your arrogance… your coldness… it's all real. But the world is not just yours. There's my family. There's a future they demand from me."

Yu Cen turned, staring straight into Yuan Bo's eyes. His eyes shone sharply, but his lips remained silent. He would not lower himself by begging. He was an alpha—he knew the pain, but chose to endure it.

Li Yuan Bo lowered his voice, softer. "I don't want to end this with regret. I want you to know… that being with you these three years is the most honest thing I've ever experienced."

Cigarette smoke floated, Yu Cen only smiled faintly. "You speak as if this is a farewell."

"Isn't it?" Yuan Bo countered, his tone calm, yet his eyes wavered.

Yu Cen placed the cigarette in the ashtray, then sipped his wine once more. A cynical smile painted his face, though his eyes carried bitterness.

"If you want to leave, then go. But don't think I'll say goodbye."

A long silence enveloped them. Two adult men, two equally strong egos, sitting side by side yet knowing a chasm lay between them.

The wine glass refilled, then emptied again. Cigarette smoke filled the air, faintly covering their faces. Both were intoxicated—not just by alcohol, but also by the feelings pressing on their chests.

Li Yuan Bo slammed his glass onto the marble table.

The clinking of crystal broke the silence. His gaze shifted—not just calm now, but ignited. In a swift move, he pulled Yu Cen close, his lips pressing fiercely without giving space.

The kiss was wild, full of anger and longing.

Yuan Bo's hand pressed on Yu Cen's nape, as if refusing the possibility of loss.

Yu Cen was momentarily surprised, but immediately responded with equal ferocity.

The alpha fire within him erupted, demanding dominance. Their bodies pressed against each other, pushed against the bar table, glasses nearly falling, wine spilling over the marble surface.

Their breaths grew heavy, the kiss moving from lips to neck, from jaw to chest. Every touch felt like the last flame wanting to consume the night entirely.

They did not care about the world, rumors, Canada, or cameras. There were only two adult men who both knew—this might be the last time they allowed passion to take over everything.

The usually cold luxurious bar became a witness to forbidden love, where ego, desire, and fear of loss merged into an explosive night never to be forgotten.

Their bodies burned against each other on the bar table. Li Yuan Bo, with blazing eyes, pressed Yu Cen's body against the cold marble. His hand held tightly, his kiss greedy, as if wanting to consume every inch of the man before him.

"Don't think you can always control me…" whispered Yuan Bo hoarsely, before kissing fiercely again.

Yu Cen let himself be dominated for a moment, eyes half-closed, breaths heavy. Yet in that cold gaze, it was clear: an alpha never concedes defeat.

With one powerful move, Yu Cen reversed the situation.

Now it was Yuan Bo's body that was pressed back, his spine hitting the bar shelf. Arrogant, Yu Cen looked down at him, a thin smile on his lips—cold, lethal, yet tempting.

"Never forget," his voice low, heavy, almost growling, "I am always on top."

The next kiss was an explosion. Hotter, wilder, full of ego. Their bodies battled in the rhythm of desire, dominating each other, demanding from each other, until the line between love and combat was nearly invisible.

That night belonged to them—the last night filled with fire, where sigma and alpha tested, dominated, and surrendered to each other in a frenzy never to be repeated.

04:30 AM.

Li Yuan Bo woke up in a silence that pierced. The bed was still warm, his body naked, tangled in the arms of Wei Yu Cen, who slept with steady breaths. For a moment, Yuan Bo just remained still, listening to the heartbeat amid the early morning quiet.

Slowly, he freed himself. Every movement careful, as if afraid to wake the man still sound asleep beside him. His hand reached for the pants lying on the floor, then the white shirt that had come undone last night. One by one he put them on, covering the traces of intimacy they had just shared.

Before leaving, his gaze fell on Yu Cen's face. His eyes deep, lingering, as if wanting to engrave every detail into memory—the sharp jawline, strong eyebrows, and the calm that only appeared when the man was asleep.

Yuan Bo's lips moved softly, almost without sound.

"Why is it that whenever I want to leave, I end up wanting to stay? You're not just an addiction, Yu Cen… you're a chain I cannot break."

With firm steps, though heavy, he left the room. The door closed softly behind him, leaving Yu Cen asleep in a world unaware that someone had just gone—with a heart full of doubt.

Li Yuan Bo opened the door of his black car, entered quickly yet heavily burdened. The scent of leather mixed with cigarette smoke still on his fingers. He sat down, closed the door, then took a deep breath as if needing space to breathe.

His hand reached to the dashboard drawer. Click.

The box opened, revealing a passport and a plane ticket to Canada—a long-postponed intent. The intention to leave, vanish, sever everything.

Yet his eyes froze when he found something that shouldn't have been there.

A couple bracelet, simple silver with a small engraving only possessed by two people. One on Wei Yu Cen's hand… and now the other in his grasp.

His fingers trembled slightly. He stared at it for a long time, so long his chest felt tight.

"Damn…"

The word slipped from his lips, hoarse and bitter. He ruffled his hair in frustration, then slammed the steering wheel with his fist.

"Why are you everywhere, Wei Yu Cen? Even when I want to leave, you still hold me back."

For the first time, Li Yuan Bo—the sigma who never allowed himself to be bound—felt he could not determine where to step next.

The silence inside the car grew heavier. The ticket in his hand felt like an escape, yet the couple bracelet seemed to pull him back. Two worlds battled within him—the freedom he adored, and the attachment he hated but could not release.

Finally, with a long sigh, Li Yuan Bo took the ticket and passport. He threw the couple bracelet back into the drawer, yet its silver gleam still pierced his eyes, mocking his own resolve.

"Enough. I must leave…" he murmured softly, his voice cold yet slightly trembling.

He started the car engine, the roar breaking the morning silence. The tires rolled, leaving the apartment, leaving all the warmth he had just felt a few hours ago. The city still slept, only the streetlights witnessing his departure.

Upon arriving at the airport, his steps were firm, full of determination. Sunglasses covered his gaze, as if hiding the turmoil still raging within. Every step was a reaffirmation to himself: a sigma must not be bound, a sigma must not be defeated by feelings.

Yet beneath his hardened chest, a small whisper continued to echo:

"Wei Yu Cen… will you forget me in the end?"

As the plane to Canada took off, Yuan Bo closed his eyes. From the window, the dawn began to illuminate the sky. But for his heart, that dawn felt like dusk—a sign of a farewell he might never be able to undo…
