Chapter 19 - Chapter 19. Otto, Why Are You Just Watching!

At this moment, Rita looked at Durandal before her, managed to stand up from the ground, and said to Durandal helplessly.

"The traitor of Schicksal, Siegfried Kaslana."

"But in a way, we must thank him, because..."

"—If he hadn't intended to hold back, we would have died under his Judgment of Shamash long ago."

"Hmm? He held back?"

Hearing Rita's report, Durandal, who was already preparing to don her armor and give chase, asked with a hint of confusion.

"He really held back in the fight? Why?"

"Who knows."

Shrugging helplessly, Rita endured the pain and said to Durandal with a smile.

"I only know that he didn't want to kill us."

"Also, I wouldn't advise you, Lady Durandal, to chase after him and start a conflict now."

"Eh? Why?"

Durandal was even more puzzled as she listened to Rita's advice.

"Didn't Lord Bishop ask you to stop him?"

"That is true, but... this is not a suitable place for battle."

Rita took the initiative to walk out of the alley, scanned the surroundings, and then turned back to Durandal with great helplessness.

"Although this alley is quiet, a short distance away is a bustling commercial street."

"Mr. Siegfried is very strong, and he also has the [Key of Destruction], Judgment of Shamash, which has the greatest destructive power."

"If you were to fight him here with the [Key of Creation], Abyss Flower, then I imagine that even if you both tried to control your power, you would still easily destroy this street."

"Oh, right."

Only then realizing this point, Durandal immediately understood why Rita had stopped her.

Bianka "Durandal" Ataegina was a Valkyrie under Otto, that was true, but before that, she was a Valkyrie who protected humanity.

To have her pursue an enemy on Otto's orders, and then accidentally get into a fight that affects other innocent bystanders...

At least, the current Durandal couldn't bring herself to do that.

On the other side, after seeing that Durandal had given up the idea of pursuing the enemy, Rita's facial expression remained unchanged, but deep down, she let out a thorough sigh of relief.

Worries about their battle affecting innocent passersby was only one of Rita's reasons for persuading Durandal.

Like Durandal, she too did not want to involve innocent people unnecessarily.

But she had a deeper reason for not wanting Durandal and Siegfried to fight.

Knowing that they were father and daughter, Rita certainly did not want Durandal, whom she regarded as a younger sister, to engage in a deadly fight with Siegfried.

She didn't know what had happened between them, but the fact that Otto hadn't told Durandal her true identity after she lost her memory was telling enough.

Otto didn't want Durandal to know her true identity, and under these circumstances, if Rita were to rashly inform Durandal of this secret, she would likely not have a good time.

In this situation, Rita could only use other methods to 'protect' Durandal and prevent her from doing something she might regret in the future.

"Sigh, if I can't pursue the enemy, then what did I come here for?"

Durandal scratched her head in frustration and said with some annoyance.

"We can't do anything now. Are we supposed to just watch?"

"Yes, for now, that's all we can do."

After all, the order Lord Otto just sent was for us not to approach Senba High School.

Actually, at a time like this, we should be taking control of that host who might awaken as a Herrscher.

But Lord Otto...

His current orders feel like he wants us to stand by and do nothing until the Third Eruption fully breaks out.

I can't understand it. It feels like he's looking forward to the Third Eruption.

Anti-Entropy has been constantly on the move, and while we can't beat them in electronic warfare, if we just intercept Raiden Mei, we could at least seize the initiative.

But now...

Lord Bishop, do you really intend to let the Herrscher of Thunder fully awaken, regardless of the lives of the several million people in Nagazora City?

...

On the other side, Siegfried, who had just taken Rita's phone, had immediately contacted Dr. Einstein and Dr. Tesla.

"Hey, Siegfried, spit it out if you have something to say. We're busy over here."

Listening to the sound of Dr. Tesla frantically typing on her keyboard, Siegfried, who knew her temper was short, naturally didn't mind her rough tone.

After all, he understood the situation Dr. Tesla and Dr. Einstein were in.

Their old friend Welt was not in Anti-Entropy, having gone out to recuperate.

But then something happened to Anti-Entropy after their old friend left.

Cocolia framed Raiden Ryoma and was also preparing to trigger the Third Eruption.

As people of conscience, Dr. Einstein and Dr. Tesla certainly couldn't let Cocolia act like this.

But the problem was, Cocolia's actions were too fast. After failing to trip her up at the first opportunity, they lost the best chance to stop the madwoman.

Now, they could only use the authority in their hands to try and obstruct Cocolia's actions in other ways.

"I got my hands on a communication device from a Schicksal S-rank Valkyrie. See if you can..."

"Hmph, connect the memory stick to that device."

"Alright."

After connecting the communication device to the memory stick prepared by the two doctors, Siegfried suddenly heard an ominous sound from Rita's device.

[BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!!]

"Throw it away, quick!"

By the time Dr. Tesla shouted the warning, Siegfried had already thrown the thing away.

Then, Rita's communication device was blown to bits in mid-air by a built-in bomb.

"...Seriously? The security measures are this good?"

Looking at the fragments on the ground, Siegfried was a bit dumbfounded.

He was hoping to get some intelligence from this and find out what kind of mischief Otto was planning.

But now, not only did he fail to get any intel, he was almost blasted in the face by a bomb.

Although with his physique, getting hit in the face with a bomb of this level would probably just break the skin, the problem was that being basically immune to damage didn't mean it didn't hurt!

Siegfried was a warrior who didn't fear pain, but he wasn't a masochist who enjoyed it.

Under these circumstances, he naturally didn't want to get a bomb to the face.

"Don't worry. By the time it connected to this terminal, we had already hacked it and gotten the intel."

On the other end of the communicator, Siegfried heard Dr. Einstein's voice.

But...

"However, our troubles have gotten even bigger."

His old friend's voice was now tinged with a weariness that made Siegfried feel very uneasy.
