Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – A New Beginning in Caelith

- Hummm... well, to answer your first question—your soul was supposed to be pulled into one of my domains, but…

The woman's voice paused for a moment, sounding a bit embarrassed.

- I might've made a tiny little miscalculation with the coordinates and... you ended up in a destroyed world, inside an abandoned solar system. Hihihi~ my bad!" she said in a voice that tried way too hard to sound cute.

Daniel narrowed his eyes, completely incredulous at the absurdity coming from her mouth. He didn't understand most of what she was saying, but one thing was certain—he had been sent somewhere he shouldn't be.

And worse, by a woman pretending to be some adorable girl to dodge responsibility for her own screw-up.

- Haaah... Daniel sighed, exhausted. This day was beyond ridiculous already.

- Listen, miss. Since I wasn't supposed to be here... am I in any danger staying in this place?

- Well, in this world you're fine! But... if the spatial magic's coordinates had shifted even a little bit—say, east or south of that solar system—you'd be toast, she said cheerfully, as if it were nothing serious.

- Gulp. Daniel swallowed hard, sweat forming on his brow.

- What would've happened if I ended up in one of those places?

- Oh, you'd have turned into paste! There are two gigantic black holes there~ hun, hun, hun! she sang like a child with no sense of danger.

Daniel's face darkened. The fact that he could've died because of her mistake—and she treated it like nothing—made his blood boil.

She kept humming. A vein throbbed on his temple as he clenched his jaw.

- Can you please take this seriously?! Have some self-awareness! - he shouted, finally losing his patience.

- Hahaha, calm down! It was just a tiny mistake! - she said, clearly pouting.

- Just a mistake?! JUST A MISTAKE?! I could've been cosmic meat paste and you call that a mistake?!

- Correction: not meat paste, since you don't have a body right now. You're in soul form, so—

- Doesn't matter!" Daniel cut her off, shouting again.

- You're just like that old man...- she murmured, pretending to sound sad.

- What did you say?"

- Nothing! Hmph! - she replied, probably crossing her arms and puffing her cheeks like a spoiled child.

- Haaah... whatever.

- So, who are you?

- Un-un~ that, I can't tell you just yet, - she said, shaking her head playfully.

- But why—"

- Daniel, our time here is ending, - she interrupted softly, her tone shifting from playful to tender, tinged with melancholy.

He immediately noticed the change in her voice.

- My beloved Daniel... if you wish to see me again, then become strong. I'll be waiting for you, as I always have. Until then, live well. Enjoy your new life. And above all... be happy. That's my greatest wish for you.

- Wait! We still need to talk! - Daniel yelled, feeling his body being pulled into the void.

- Oh, right! Before you go, here's a little gift from me~

A snapping sound echoed, followed by a golden light appearing before him. Before he could react, it shot forward—faster than his eyes could follow—and merged into his chest.

- Now you'll reincarnate in my former home—the world known as Caelith.

You may face some challenges here and there, but I'm sure you'll manage just fine.

See you soon, my dear.

A brilliant light engulfed him, and Daniel felt himself being pulled away.

🌌 Caelith — The Ancient World

A world as old as creation itself, saturated with ancient power.

This vast land is home to many races:

The Dragons, wise and proud beings of pure mana.

The Elves, beautiful and reserved, loyal to their kin.

The Demons, fierce warriors who live for battle.

The Dwarves, master craftsmen and builders—the very bones of this world were shaped by their hands.

The Beastmen, strong and sturdy, though not known for intellect.

And finally, the Humans, versatile in all things—rarely masters of any, but gifted in both magic and combat.

There are also the mysterious Fairies, Spirits, and Elemental Kings—though little is known about them, or whether they truly exist.

- Arrrrrrrgh! A young boy around fourteen screamed as he jolted upright from his bed, gasping for air.

- Hah... hah... hah... What the hell?!

Where am I? Where's that woman's voice?!

- Hey! Hah... hah! - he shouted again, panic rising. - Answer me! Where did you go?!

No answer. Only silence.

Damn it! - he growled, punching the mattress in frustration. -I need to calm down... first, figure out where the hell I am."

He got up, staggering slightly, and looked around.

The room was enormous—easily big enough for an entire family to live in comfortably.

- Fiuuu~ What kind of luxury is this? - he whistled, scanning the room. The decor was rustic yet refined, with a massive chandelier hanging from the high ceiling.

- Whoever lives here has serious money."

He kept exploring until he stopped in front of a tall mirror.

- Huh...? Who's that? - he muttered, staring at the unfamiliar reflection.

- That woman... she said something insane about reincarnating into another world... that was a joke, right? Right?

Silence again.

- Hahahaha... no way this is real. This has to be a dream—a crazy, cliché dream and—

- Ahhh, how damn cliché... - he sighed in defeat.

Then suddenly—

- Aaaagh! - He groaned, collapsing to his knees, clutching his head.

- Damn it! My head's splitting apart!

It felt as if a waterfall of memories was being forced into his skull.

- What the hell are these memories?!

Then, just as abruptly, the pain stopped. He sat there, panting heavily, heart pounding against his chest.

- Hah... hah... hahaha... unbelievable. - He covered his face with one hand, laughing softly.

- So that's what happened... - he muttered, forcing himself to stand and walk toward the window.

Outside, a vast garden stretched as far as the eye could see—filled with blooming flowers, gardeners tending the plants, and servants sweeping the paths.

- Haaah... well. It looks like my real journey begins here... in Caelith.

- You, the one who brought me here and gave me this second chance... I won't waste it. And...

- Wait for me. Soon enough, I'll find you—and when I do, you're getting one hell of a scolding. We've got a lot to talk about.

With that, the young man once known as Daniel Roberts—now Evo Eylam, eldest son of a noble family—took his first step into a new life.

A new world.

A new name.

A new destiny.

What fate awaits Evo Eylam?
