Chapter 3 - Entering the blocky world

Harry Potter lay in his small cupboard, the cold, damp floor pressing against his thin mattress. The faint hum of the house above him was distant, a low murmur in the background of his dreamless sleep. The cupboard had always been his refuge, or perhaps more accurately, his prison. But tonight, something felt . . . different. Something felt like it was calling him, pulling him away from the world he knew.

The darkness around him deepened, and suddenly, Harry felt weightless.

His senses swirled in an unfamiliar haze, as if the very fabric of reality was stretching and warping. He tried to move, but his body felt strange, almost as though it weren't fully his.

When the sensation passed, Harry blinked and looked around.

His first instinct was to servey his surroundings, it was a natural reaction given the environment he had grown up in. He quickly realized he wasn't in the cupboard anymore. He wasn't even in the Dursleys' house.

Instead, he was standing in a vast, open field, the ground beneath him made of odd, blocky shapes, as if someone had built the world using giant building blocks. His surroundings were quiet, save for the occasional sound of an animal. A cow wandered nearby, and a few sheep grazed in the distance, their wool thick and white.

Where am I? Harry whispered to himself, but the sound of his own voice felt strange, as if it came from the air itself, not his body.

The world before him was vibrant, almost too bright, and yet strangely peaceful. But as he stood there, unsure what to make of this place, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

"Welcome to the Block World."

Harry startled and quickly looked around for the voice. But he quickly realized the voice wasn't coming from anywhere physical at all. It was just there, in his mind, clear and calm.

"You are now connected to the System. This is your new reality. Please pay attention to the following features."

The world shimmered around him, and a strange, semi-transparent screen appeared before his eyes. Harry squinted, trying to read the information floating in front of him.

**"Core Features of the System:

Crafting and Inventory: You can access the crafting menu and manage your inventory.

Mod Pack Additions: Achieve goals in the real world to unlock mods for your world (be warned not all mods are healpful)

Upgrade Area: Convert items from the game into System Points for permanent upgrades."**

Quickly composing him self he quickly noted the features, as he was about to ask what he was to do the system quickly spoke

"You must gather resources to begin. Your first task: Chop wood, craft a tool, and survive."

Harry's eyes narrowed. "Survive?" he asked, though the voice in his mind didn't respond. He glanced down at the ground beneath him. The world was made of blocks. Everything seemed so . . . simple. But there was something oddly comforting about it.

Without wasting any more time, Harry walked over to the nearest tree. The wooden trunk looked sturdy, but it also looked quite breakable. He raised his hand, he felt his body in this world was a lot stronger or perhaps under new rules.

He lifted his hand as if holding an invisible axe and swung. To his surprise, the tree trunk cracked and broke, pieces of wood tumbling to the ground. It wasn't like the real world at all. It was so easy. Almost too easy.

After a second a ding sounded and a small box on the top right of his vision appeared "achievement got getting wood"

As soon as the achievement appeared a small booklet icon appeared in the inventory when clicked the booklet showed achievement map with a lit up achievement of getting wood and another unlit achievement called "benchmarking" when click it showed the requirements to get it "craft 1x crafting table"

Thankfully next to his inventory was a open area which showed crafting recipes that he has matterials for. Quickly turning his oak log into 4 planks by placing it into the 2x2 crafting area. Once he got the planks in his inventory. Harry could see various new recipes he could make with the planks. He could feel the excitement growing in his chest.

The next few minutes passed in a blur as Harry crafted a wooden pickaxe and an axe then getting some stone and getting stone tools gaining achievements along the way. The simplicity of it was almost funny to him, but there was a sense of power in it, too. In a way, he felt like he could accomplish anything here and perhaps this might give him a way to make his real life better though he does not know it yet

He wasn't sure how long he had been exploring, but after a while, Harry's eyes caught sight of something that made him curious a small cave entrance, hidden beneath the shadows of some large boulders.

He approached cautiously, the ground crunching under his feet as he stepped into the dim light of the cave. As he got closer he spotted something sparkling in the distance iron ore

Though Harry did not exactly know its value he had seen metal tools before and knew they would be stronger than his stone ones, Harry quickly ran over and pulled out his stone pickaxe and began mining the iron. The blocks broke apart with satisfying clicks, and soon he had several pieces of ore in his inventory. (7x iron ore)

Back outside, Harry placed the iron into a furnace he crafted though at the time he was confused by its purpose, smelting it down into usable iron ingots using oak planks. The whole process was so simple, yet it felt so rewarding. He had never made something like this before, and even though he had no idea how this strange system worked, it felt perfect

Opening the crafting table with his 7 iron ingots Harry quickly crafted the sword and pickaxe, his hands trembling with excitement as the gleaming iron blade and pickaxe appeared in his inventory.

A sense of satisfaction washed over him. He had made it. An iron sword. Something that seemed so simple, yet deep inside he felt it was the start of something bigger.

As Harry was about to continue and search for more iron a strange pull was felt and he could feel his consciousness being pulled back to his real body.

As he was being awoken he heard something that made his teeth quench with agitation

Boy— you better be up or else
