With the last person on my target list called, I took on the countenance of a worried sister.
I stood in the lobby waiting and pacing in feigned anxiousness for the arrival of the two men who would help me find my missing sister—or so they thought.
While unexpectedly they would turn out to be my guests and witnesses to her scandalous affairs as a lady who ended up seducing her brother-in-law to be.
It might have felt heartless of me but then I was just giving back everything they had given to me.
They had dragged my name through the mud and made me trend unjustly, calling it a "gift." Fine. I would return the favor.
They accused me of infidelity? Then they, too, would taste the venom of betrayal, right down to the bone and its fangs dug into the deepest core of their lives.
