Chapter 9:Secrets
I know this is a lot shorter than usual, but hopefully this will do for you all. I don't own pokemon.
Everyone has secrets, from little ones like who really ate the last slice of cake, to big things you could never admit to yourself, never mind other people. And despite being married for five years, Ash and Cynthia still had secrets they hid from the other. This is list of secrets Ash Ketchum can never know, some because they would embarrass her beyond belief and others because they would completely change how he saw her.
Secret Number One: She hates her parents. Ever since her sixth birthday, what happened on that day haunted her. She needed therapy for years due to the trauma, cried herself to sleep for nearly three years and still suffered from nightmares in times of stress. Emily was too young to remember and Cynthia thanked Arceus and any other deity for that daily.
Secret Number Two: Even though she would gladly destroy anyone who even hinted at an interest in her husband, Cynthia can't deny that one of her greatest fantasies is to watch Ash be with another woman, preferably her closest friend Clair. The idea of the most handsome man she knows with the most beautiful woman she knows and knowing that he would come home to her turns her on immensely.
Secret Number Three: Before Cynthia and Ash started dating, she would sometimes steal his sweat-drenched tee-shirts or underwear from the laundry and smell them while masturbating furiously. She still does.
Secret Number Four: The morning Ash 'punished' her for teasing him by gagging her and binding her arms and legs with her own hair and using her for the whole day, was the single most erotic experience of her entire life. The feeling of laying face down in a pool of her own juices and the utter helplessness she felt when Ash began to prepare for anal sex for the first time is something she will never, ever forget. She would love for it to happen again, but she's too embarrassed to ask him to do it again.
Secret Number Five: When Cynthia was waiting for the results of her pregnancy test during that scare in Undella, just before Ash entered the Vertress Conference, her first thought, to her eternal shame and self-loathing, was that if the test was positive, she would have an abortion without Ash knowing. The memory of the relief she felt when it came up negative and the guilt she still felt from telling Ash that she was disappointed still makes her sick to her stomach.
Secret Number Six: Cynthia's first sexual dream when she was thirteen, involved Clair, the mature, beautiful and at the time, more powerful, older girl and made her genuinely question her sexuality, since she had never been attracted to a male before Ash.
Secret Number Seven: There was a brief time when Cynthia tried her best to hate Ash- hate how came into her life and completely fucked it up, make her feel self-conscious and weak, make her second guess everything she said or did, hate how he made her into something she hated, a weak little girl mooning over a boy. Hate how he changed her from the strong, independent woman she moulded herself into and twisted her into a love-struck caricature of herself. Hate his stupid fucking hate and hair, his fucking smile and pretty fucking eyes. It was a hard forty-two minutes.
Secret Number Eight: Sometimes, just for fun, she might make profiles of the women Ash knows to assess their threat level. Just for fun.
Secret Number Nine: She's still slightly afraid of Delia and knows that her mother-in-law is probably the only person she knows who could beat her in a straight-up fight.
Secret Number Ten: A small part is still terrified that she might leave Ash.
Ash, for the most part, is an open book to anyone with interest, sometimes to Cynthia's ire. But everyone needs their secrets, things they aren't proud of or things they just want to block out entirely or keep up appearance. This is a list of ten secrets that Ash Ketchum would prefer Cynthia never found out about.
Secret Number One: After Cynthia began to accept all the stories he told her, even the most unbelievable ones as truth, he just kind of started to make stuff up to see what he could get away with. She probably still believes that he actually went on an underwater adventure to rescue an incredibly rare pokemon known as 'Da-funk' from an evil zoo-keeper called Dixon Bainbridge, with the help of a psychic shaman called Naboo and his slaking, Bollo.
Yeah, he has no idea where that one came from either.
Secret Number Two: He actually really enjoys it when Cynthia shows her possessive side. The way he sees it, if she still acts jealous, that means she still cares. To him, the way she narrows her eyes, holds his arm to her chest, the way her body language absolutely screams "He's MINE, bitch!", it's unbelievably sexy. Even with their sixth anniversary coming up, her jealous streak is just too cute.
Secret Number Three: Speaking of sexy, watching Cynthia beat up Team Rocket with a baseball bat on their first date was without a doubt the second sexiest thing he had ever witnessed at that point in his life. The first was accidentally witnessing Cynthia topless. But he's slightly worried about his 'reaction' to Cynthia nearly crippling the three idiots, whether it was a strong sense of justified schadenfreude or the way she looked like an avenging angel in a sun-dress, he found it difficult to find a comfortable sitting position.
Secret Number Four: Cynthia talks in her sleep sometimes and he hasn't the heart to tell her. He knows that she dreams about watching him and Clair or Elesa or any of her other friends, but finds the idea of cheating on Cynthia, even with her permission and with her watching, distasteful. He wouldn't say no to a threesome though. I mean, come on he's only human.
However, he wouldn't mind tying her up for the day with her hair again, which she often dreams about. Cynthia has a surprise waiting for her on their anniversary, that's all he'll say.
Secret Number Five: Back in Cynthia's villa, with the pregnancy test, he could tell what she was thinking. He didn't blame her. Two kids, one who barely turned twenty, the other who really couldn't afford to get pregnant and ruin everything she had worked for and prove the tabloids right. No, he didn't blame her and while he was slightly disappointed when it came up negative, whenever he looked at Jack and Selene, his two beautiful children, he's glad that it did.
Secret Number Six: His first sexual dream was about- he honestly can't believe he's about to say this- look, you have to understand, he was in a weird place in his development, he was just beginning to realise that girls where more than guys that wore dresses and smelled good. Look, Cynthia can never know, because he knows what she'll say "Oh, at least mine was about a member of the same species." Ah, goddamn it, it was a gardevoir, alright! Happy? He doesn't even remember it, and he's certain nothing really happened, because while he knew the basic mechanics of sex, he didn't know any specifics and besides lots of people have probably dreamed about worse.
Secret Number Seven: While he regrets letting Cynthia believe that he had a dead twin sister, he still found it kind of funny and mostly regrets that she found out that he was forced to cross-dress a couple of times. Her saying "How does this look, Ashley? I need another woman's perspective." stopped being funny half a billion time ago
Secret Number Eight: While he enjoys Cynthia's jealousy, he sometimes worries that Aaron's prediction might come true and she might put up on a bloody wedding dress and axe-murder them all. He's 99.9999% certain that will, most likely, never happen though.
Secret Number Nine: He's terrified of Cynthia's grandfather, always has been always will be, but after he told him about what happened to Cynthia's family, the old man agreed to work with Ash to help Cynthia find closure.
Secret Number Ten: The irritating little voice in the back of his mind is still sure that one day Cynthia is going to wake up and realise how much better she can do than him.
