Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 Let Cecil distinguish between the big and small kings!

After William said goodbye to the fiery senior, he immediately took Eden and left Upstate University, driving hundreds of kilometers back to the Kent Family's home.

"See you at school tomorrow, Eden."

At the Kent Family's gate.

William watched Eden get out of the car and walk home, not forgetting to wave goodbye.

"See you at school."

Eden paused slightly at his words, then turned around, said goodbye to William, and went back into his house.

"Did I really guess wrong?!"

"That person really isn't Eden?"

On the other side, William looked at Eden's retreating figure and muttered to himself.

Clearly, despite thinking about it all day, William still couldn't figure out who the man was—the one who, in his moment of crisis, descended like a hero from the sky to save him from peril, gave him a strong sense of familiarity, and was dressed remarkably like Superman?!

"It couldn't be Todd, could it?"

"A school bully on the surface, but a superhero in secret?"

"Damn it, what am I fantasizing about?"

"If Todd were a super-powered individual, that would be a disaster; it's too terrifying."

William quickly abandoned this terrible thought, shook his head vigorously, and drove away.

"Eden, we need to talk."

After Eden used his X-ray vision to see through the walls of his room and secretly watched William drive away, a hoarse voice immediately sounded behind him.

"Cecil?!"

"Why aren't you going to collect Sinclair's research results? What are you doing here at my place?"

Eden asked without turning his head.

Yes, even without turning to look, Eden knew from the familiar voice and tone that the person who had come was his good secretary, Cecil.

"Look at all the trouble you've caused!"

"Those thirty-plus biochemical soldiers you eliminated, including that genius scientist Sinclair, were all assets of the Global Defense Agency."

"You can't just eliminate them based on your own moral judgments."

Cecil said exasperatedly.

"So you're not planning to cooperate with me anymore?"

Eden turned around at this point, looked at Cecil coldly, and murmured, "Perhaps I should have a good discussion with my great parents about moving our entire family off Earth!"

"As for what's-his-name, the Berserker Beast?!"

"Including those aliens or dimensional lords hidden in the universe, who have always coveted Earth but haven't set foot here due to my parents' strength."

"You can leave all of them to you, the noble and great Cecil, and the Global Guardians to deal with."

Eden shrugged, saying indifferently.

"You can't do that, Eden."

Cecil's tone began to soften.

Honestly, he and the Global Guardians couldn't deal with any of the enemies Eden mentioned.

"Then what do you want me to do?"

"That genius scientist Sinclair you mentioned almost killed my friend."

"Those so-called precious assets of the Global Guardians you mentioned were all modified from innocent lives, and every single one of them had their frontal lobe removed."

"Even so, you still want me to calmly negotiate terms with Sinclair, or perhaps arrest him and throw him in prison, waiting for your sanctions?!"

"From what I know about you, you'd likely have Sinclair die publicly, but secretly use him for yourselves. Am I right?"

Eden pressed Cecil relentlessly.

"This…"

"Listen to me, Eden."

"There are reasons for all of this."

Cecil was drenched in sweat; he didn't know what to refute.

"Don't joke around, Cecil!"

"I'm not like those useless Global Guardians who cosplay as superheroes. I don't have the time to play these boring games with you."

Eden interrupted Cecil's prepared sophistry, speaking bluntly.

"If you want to cooperate with me, then everything must be done my way, understand?!"

Eden looked at Cecil and continued.

"Alright, everything will be done your way."

Cecil nodded, as if deflated.

"Sigh."

Cecil truly regretted cooperating with Eden at this moment; he realized he was completely under Eden's thumb.

"Wait, Cecil."

Seeing that Cecil was about to leave, Eden immediately called out to him.

"What is it?"

Cecil shivered, realizing he was genuinely a little afraid of Eden.

Cecil's fear of Eden was somewhat different from his fear of Eden's 'great' parents.

Cecil's fear of Omni-Man, Nolan, and Superman, Clark, was more about their power.

But the pressure Eden put on Cecil was a dual test of morality and power.

When facing Eden, Cecil was often in a miserable situation where he couldn't out-talk him and couldn't out-fight him.

"Remember to prepare dinner for me."

Eden still had high standards and demands for his quality of life.

"Donald, remember to prepare dinner for Eden."

Upon hearing this, Cecil breathed a slight sigh of relief. He picked up his walkie-talkie and immediately gave the order.

"Buzz!"

The moment Cecil's words fell, Donald, the Defense Agency's ace agent, immediately appeared in the room, carrying Eden's dinner.

"Here is the M12 steak you requested."

Donald respectfully said after setting the dinner on the table.

"Very good."

Eden showed a satisfied smile at this.

"Phew."

"Then if there's nothing else, we'll withdraw."

"Just as you said, the social impact caused by the Sinclair incident still needs us to smooth over."

Cecil looked at Eden's satisfied expression and breathed another sigh of relief.

"Cecil, one more thing."

Unfortunately, just as Cecil was about to leave, Eden called out to him again.

"What is it?"

Cecil felt his heart, which had just settled, jump back into his throat because of Eden's words.

"Remember to deposit ten million US dollars into my bank account immediately."

"This morning's events count as one mission for me."

Eden, while burying his head in his food, didn't forget to tell Cecil to transfer him money.

"Alright."

Cecil nodded calmly.

Perhaps because he had been startled by Eden too many times today, his heart had gradually accepted these things.

"…"

After doing all this, Cecil just stood there, quietly watching Eden, seemingly waiting for his next instruction.

It seemed even Cecil hadn't noticed that he was now a qualified secretary.

And so.

Cecil and Donald stood by, like a secretary and an attendant, watching Eden quietly finish his dinner.

"What are you still standing around for?"

"Hurry up and get to work!"

"The Defense Agency and the Guardians still have a huge mess for you to clean up."

After finishing dinner, Eden picked up a tissue nearby, gently wiped the oil from his mouth, and urged Cecil and Donald.

"Alright."

Cecil and Donald, certain that Eden was truly done this time, then dared to use spatial transfer technology to leave the Kent Family's dining room.

"Cecil, if I don't knock some sense into you, you really won't know your place, will you?"

After Cecil left, Eden scoffed with a disdainful smile.

Any of Cecil's methods seemed meaningless in the face of absolute power.

"Power is fundamental."

Eden thought this, muttering to himself.

"System, simulate for me!"

"Today, my opponent for simulation will still be two elite Viltrum individuals."

Eden thought this, lay down on his bed, and began his simulation for the day.

[As you command!]

Under Eden's command, the stupid system immediately began the simulated
