Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Confession! Nuolan: Damn it, my son is almost taking over the world behind my back!

"Child, have you truly awakened?!"

Nolan watched Eden slowly float up from the ground before her. She clearly understood that whether she wanted it or not, Eden had clearly awakened his superpowers, just as she had wished.

In a brief moment, Eden could clearly see his mother Nolan's expression change repeatedly because of his awakening.

There was panic, distress, helplessness, and determination, but the only thing missing was a look of satisfaction and joy at her child's awakened abilities.

"Nolan, the most important thing you should be doing right now isn't standing there in a daze!"

"Instead, you should loudly congratulate our son for successfully awakening his superpowers a week before his coming of age."

It was the kind Clark who finally reminded Nolan, who was in a state of panic.

"Right."

"I need to congratulate you."

"Well done, my child."

"You are now a qualified Viltrumite."

"What did I tell you? All Viltrumite can awaken their superpowers before they come of age."

Upon hearing this, Nolan first took a deep breath, forcibly suppressed her inner anxiety, squeezed out a smile on her face, and congratulated Eden.

"Mm."

"Thank you for your congratulations."

In response, Eden merely nodded gently, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Nolan's words, and replied with a smile.

"Child, listen."

"Since you have now successfully awakened your superpowers, there are some things I must make clear to you."

"From today onwards, I will no longer treat you as an ordinary boy! But as a noble Viltrum warrior in training."

"Before you fully awaken your abilities, you will never know how arduous your responsibilities truly are?!"

As Nolan spoke, her tone suddenly carried a hint of sternness that even she herself hadn't noticed.

Nolan seemed to subconsciously put herself in the position of a Viltrum recruit training officer.

"Perhaps we should both be more honest, Mother."

"I'm talking about the Viltrumite."

Eden took a deep breath and shrugged at Nolan.

"Eden, what do you know?"

Nolan was stunned. She looked at Eden's posture, which seemed to know Viltrum like the back of his hand, and immediately frowned, a hint of unbearable pain flashing in her eyes.

In a last resort, Nolan would have to resort to force, although she wasn't ready yet.

"Everything."

"Everything about the Viltrumite."

Eden answered truthfully.

"Who told you?"

Nolan questioned Eden, clenching her fists.

"Cecil told me."

Eden directly pinned the blame on his good secretary, Cecil. He floated over to Nolan and said, word for word, "Cecil recently captured an alien from the Star Alliance. According to that alien, the Viltrum Empire isn't as benevolent as you say, Mother."

"Don't be fooled by Cecil, Eden."

Nolan interrupted Eden, angrily saying, "I know Cecil better than you do. That guy is a complete scoundrel! He's someone who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals."

"And full of lies."

Clark interjected at this point.

"Alright, Eden! And you too, Nolan!"

"If you have any disagreements, just communicate calmly!"

"You must not quarrel, and even more so, do not let it destroy the happiness and harmony of the family."

Not only that, Clark, seeing the conversation between Eden and Nolan gradually escalate, stepped in in time to mediate.

"Dad, give me half an hour. Within half an hour, no matter what happens, don't interrupt, and don't interfere!"

Eden turned to Clark and said in a firm tone, "I must make this clear to Mom."

Eden didn't want to tarnish his father Clark's beautiful perception of his mother Nolan, so he deliberately sent Clark away.

As for Nolan confessing to Clark herself, that was another matter.

"Clark, that's my thought too."

Nolan also turned to Clark and said in a deep voice.

In Nolan's opinion, as long as she could persuade Eden, then the two of them, mother and son, could also persuade Clark together.

"Alright."

"I'll give you half an hour."

Clark looked at Eden and Nolan, who could even agree tacitly when arguing, and shrugged helplessly. He had to admit, this mother and son really were alike.

Thinking this, Clark glanced at the time on his watch and decided to leave the place entirely to his wife and child, then turned and disappeared from the spot.

Honestly, Clark, being a 'good guy,' was in a bad mood today. He planned to use this free time to find some Dimension Lord and beat them up to vent his frustration.

"Let's talk in the sky."

Eden said, flying up into the high sky on his own.

"Okay."

Seeing this, Nolan also followed him.

Tens of thousands of meters in the sky.

Eden and Nolan, mother and son, confronted each other.

"One secret each."

Eden, for the first time in a long while, took out a baseball and said to Nolan, who was floating in front of him.

"Alright."

Nolan nodded.

"Then, to show my sincerity, I'll go first."

"Actually, I awakened my superpowers when I was five."

"Alright, my first secret is out. It's your turn, Mother."

Eden said, throwing the baseball to Nolan in front of him.

"Bang!"

Nolan caught it with one hand, her face turning ashen as she said, "Damn it, you awakened your superpowers at five? And your father and I knew nothing about it?!"

"Mother, it's your turn."

Eden urged.

"Alright."

"I was originally sent to this remote intelligent planet by the Empire to completely conquer it."

Nolan answered truthfully.

"It's your turn."

Nolan finished speaking and threw the ball to Eden.

"While you and Father were on vacation in Hawaii, I 'incorporated' the Global Security Bureau and the Guardians. Now, Cecil can be said to be working for me."

Eden caught the ball, immediately revealed a secret, and then threw the ball back to Nolan.

"Huh?"

"What do you mean you incorporated the Security Bureau and the Guardians?"

Nolan looked at her son in disbelief, her mind momentarily short-circuited.

"It's your turn, Mother."

Eden urged.

"I..."

Under Eden's urging, Nolan slowly calmed herself. Her expression was somewhat hesitant at the moment. After taking a deep breath, she still said, "Actually, a month ago, I suspected that you had already awakened your superpowers!"

"For this, I also tested you a few times. When I found out that you hadn't awakened your superpowers, I was truly relieved!"

"Of course, looking at it now, my At that time was correct. All my tests were fooled by you, kid."

When Nolan said this, a hint of anger appeared in her eyes as she looked at Eden, and she fiercely threw the ball to Eden.

Hmm, Eden, this child, at such a young age, isn't learning good things; he only knows how to deceive an elder like her.

"I also incorporated the Knights Order. They are currently working for me as well."

Eden took the ball, revealed another secret, and then threw the ball to Nolan.

"Damn it."

"What do you mean the Knights Order and the Security Bureau are both working for you?"

"Haven't you already conquered the world behind my back?"

Nolan caught the ball, then threw it back to Eden, and said in a deep voice, "Alright, Eden! Stop playing this childish game! I have no more secrets to tell, and you shouldn't hide anything either. Just tell me all the secrets you need to tell me in one go."

"For example, I took down the Flaxans who invaded Earth and destroyed the atmosphere of their homeworld."

"For example, I went to The Inner World and took down Dr. Earthquake, as well as his army of arthropods and the Underdwellers."

"And for example, I went to Mars with the Astronauts! I eliminated the Squid Dogs on Mars and gave the Martians a good beating."

Eden recounted his recent experiences one by one, a true confession session.

"And what else? Eden! What else?"

Nolan looked at her son, feeling only a sense of unfamiliarity.

"And?"

"Oh, right."

"I had Old Liu put on a play in London, specifically to delay you."

Eden thought for a moment, then seemed to remember something and said with a smile.

"Delay me?"

A sudden ominous premonition arose in Nolan's heart. She looked at Eden and asked, "What did you delay me for?"

"Of course, it was to take advantage of that gap to eliminate the Berserker Beast that descended upon Earth!"

Before Nolan could think further, Eden's voice rang in her ears.

"Berserker Beast?"

Nolan was completely bewildered.

Was this Berserker Beast the Berserker Beast she understood?
