Blanche's POV
When everyone showed up, Joanna rushed straight to Carry while Drew just stood there watching me get attacked, doing absolutely nothing.
Nicholas jumped in instead. He grabbed a stick and started beating the dog, trying to make it release me. The animal wouldn't budge, its teeth still locked on my arm.
Nicholas kept striking it with the stick, yelling and trying to frighten it away.
Drew ignored Nicholas completely and went back to Carry, then noticed blood trickling down her leg from multiple bite marks.
His face darkened with worry. "Carry's bleeding badly. She needs a hospital right now."
Joanna scooped Carry up and rushed toward the exit.
Drew started following but stopped when he realized Zain wasn't with them. He looked back and saw Zain kicking at the dog, trying to free me.
Even after several kicks, the dog just whined but kept its grip locked tight.
Drew could see Zain attempting to help me, but Carry was clearly in worse shape.
