As evening loomed and the sun went down, a group of girls were walking in the forest. They were best friends. Sofia had long, sunflower blond hair, was wiser than her years, but knew how to let loose. Aurora had deep purple hair that was almost always in a ponytail, and loved nature, with her favourite pastime being seeing the sun rise in the morning. Zoey had long chocolate brown hair, which she liked styling so that some of the hair would be braided and look like a headband, loved music, and had a free spirit inside. Gemma had light brown hair, which she liked styling into a double Dutch braids, a good work ethic, and could fix almost anything. Pearl had copper coloured hair styled into a braided low bun, enjoyed swimming and learning about the ocean and the creatures who lived in it. However, she could get easily worked up and worried. Last but not least, Ophelia had ruby red hair styled into intricate plaits, and was like everyone mixed together with a sprinkle of crazy. She was the one that told the rest of the group about a mansion that her mysterious aunt, who no-one knew or had met, owned.
Now they were going to the mansion. However, it was starting to get dark. "Are you sure that this is the right way, Ophelia?" asked Gemma. "It's been a long walk and it's starting to get late." "It's always been a long walk, Gemma." Ophelia replied, nonchalantly. "See?" she said, as they approached a large mansion. "So this is your aunt's mansion?" Sofia asked. "Yep!" Ophelia said and pushed open the doors of the mansion. "Welcome to Mistwood Mansion! While my aunt is out of town, she said we can come here." As the rest of the party walked in, they stared in awe. The furniture and rooms looked straight out of the 1800s.
When everyone was inside, a creaking sound was heard and the door closed. Then a click sound came from the door. Pearl ran to the door and tried yanking it open, but it didn't budge. "Open, you stupid door!" Pearl muttered under her breath. "Pearl, calm down." Aurora said, coming to her. Ophelia also tried to open to the door, to no avail. "Uhh, girls," Ophelia said, with a worried look on her face, "I think we're trapped." "WHAT!!!" the other girls, except Aurora, who was still comforting Pearl, shouted.
