Chapter 7 - Chapter 4: Clash of Ideologies

Chapter 4: Clash of Ideologies

Location: Friends of Humanity Secret Facility / Xavier Mansion

Surrounded by rubble, concrete dust, and the metallic smell of burned ozone, I find myself in the center of a destroyed room.

No, the Xavier Mansion wasn't attacked for the thousandth time. These are the ruins of a secret underground laboratory belonging to one of the many extremist cells of the Friends of Humanity—a purist group funding illegal experiments on captured young mutants. This was my first official mission alongside the X-Men, and to be honest, it was surprisingly easy.

Conventional firearms and low-caliber projectiles do absolutely nothing against the density of my body, strengthened by Elixir. To handle the armed security from a distance, I used the ability inherited from the Minions, firing corrosive streams of Black Elixir directly from my hands. The surgical precision of those blasts, combined with the tactical support of my Archers and Musketeer positioned atop the ventilation ducts, cleared the defensive perimeter in a matter of minutes.

As my troops finalized sweeping the emergency exits, I walked through the metallic debris to the center of the facility, where the main members of the X-Men were coordinating the release of victims trapped in containment pods.

I approached Jean Grey, who was using her telekinesis to rip the steel doors off the cells with ease.

"Is it always like this, Red?" I asked, crossing my arms and taking in the deplorable state of the lab.

Jean let out a heavy sigh, tucking a strand of red hair behind her ear. "Unfortunately, yes, Kael. Over time, you eventually get used to this kind of cruelty."

"Yeah, but I don't remember seeing anything about places like this in the media or the news," I commented, frowning.

"And do you really think human newspapers would show this?" Scott Summers chimed in, approaching us with the firm, authoritative posture of a field leader, adjusting his ruby-quartz visor on his face. "Exposing these labs would only create more widespread panic."

Turning to him, I tilted my head. "And why not expose them? Showing the blatant truth would prove to the ordinary civilian public the kind of atrocities we mutants are forced to endure. It would change the narrative."

Scott stared at me seriously from behind his visor. "And do you think we need the pity and mercy of humans, Kael?"

"It's not about pity, Scott. It's about support and awareness," I replied firmly, keeping my tone calm and respectful. "Mutants and humans share the same blood and the same species. Isolation only feeds ignorance."

"We were forced to hide and operate in the shadows because of their intolerance," Scott argued, fervently defending the Institute's philosophy. "Working in secret is the only way to protect our own."

"But nothing is stopping us from showing ourselves openly right now, is there?" I questioned, taking a step forward. "We aren't defenseless children afraid of the world anymore. If we hide behind masks, black suits, and secret identities, we send the implicit message that we're ashamed or afraid of what we are."

Scott fell silent for a second, his lips pressed into a thin line. "Your level of power and your invulnerability make you see reality through a perspective very far from most people, Kael."

"You're absolutely right," I admitted with a slight smirk. "But a normal perspective matters very little to me. After all, there's nothing normal about me."

Scott didn't answer. The discussion ended there cordially, but this wasn't the first nor will it be the last time we trade opposing views. Even though he's an extremely dedicated, intelligent, and respectable leader, Scott is deeply committed to Professor Xavier's strict caution. This philosophy of secrecy is rooted in almost all the senior members of the mansion.

The sound of light, fast footsteps echoed through the destroyed hallways. I turned in time to see a group of eight Goblins emerge from the rubble of the control room. They carried metallic cases containing the X-Gene suppression devices the organization used against the victims.

"Thanks, boys," I said to them.

Jean used her telekinesis to float the cases into her hands, storing the equipment for analysis back at the mansion. The eight Goblins showed off their sharp, mischievous grins, nodding in confirmation before awaiting my command.

"Great work. You can rest," I ordered mentally.

With a wave of my hand, I dismissed the troops. The Goblins, Archers, and Musketeer dissolved into glowing pink mist, reabsorbed into my skin.

Currently, my power counter has reached Arena 5: Spell Valley, having accumulated 900 trophies. To avoid raising too much suspicion all at once, I allowed myself to publicly reveal to the X-Men only a few of the new troops acquired over these nine days: the Skeletons, the Tombstone (a magical spawner building that continuously generates skeletons, making the use of the individual Skeletons card extremely situational), the Bomber, and the Valkyrie.

However, I kept other powerful cards I recently unlocked a complete secret: the Cannon (a heavy direct-fire defensive building), the Mega Minion, the Barbarians, and the Battle Ram. Having access to the Barbarians allowed me to definitively confirm my theory that the baseline biological standard for physical strength and durability across each of my troops equals the tier of an elite Super Soldier.

After returning from the mission, I went back to my room in the mansion to change clothes.

Even though it feels like I've spent months here, I've only been awake at the Xavier Institute for nine days. Closing my eyes for a second, I looked into my subconscious and saw my system counter. Tomorrow I will complete ten days of daily awakenings, hitting the exact mark of 1,000 Trophies. That will cross the threshold into Arena 4: P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse and unlock something I am extremely eager to test: the Wizard card. I am curious to confirm if my power's logic will grant me the passive ability of Pyrokinesis as soon as the Wizard is integrated into my arsenal.

Leaving my room and heading down the stairs to the main hall, I watched the movement of the students. A new group of recently rescued young mutants was being guided down the hallway. Kitty Pryde passed by me accompanied by three younger girls, throwing a knowing wink in my direction.

Kitty truly kept her promise of recommending me to her friends. Over these last few days in the mansion, the amount of intimate encounters and casual hookups in my room was so absurd that I felt almost like an on-duty gynecologist.

"Sharp speech on today's mission, kid," Logan's rough voice echoed beside me. The mutant was leaning against the hallway wall, lighting a cigar.

"Feel free to speak your mind, Logan," I replied, leaning against the window frame.

"It's not a lecture," Logan said, blowing a cloud of dense smoke upward. "To be honest, it's actually good to see someone around here who thinks with their own head and questions things. I just hope all that self-confidence doesn't turn you into an irresponsible radical."

I could completely understand his concern. To Logan and the others, I was an eighteen-year-old kid who just woke up from a five-year coma flexing an overwhelming Omega-Level mutant power. The chance of someone in that position getting lost in the illusion of omnipotence and becoming a tyrant was massive—if I weren't a reincarnated person with prior maturity.

"I can completely understand why you all think that way, Logan," I said calmly, looking out at the mansion's gardens. "And I respect your stance. But that cautious lifestyle simply doesn't suit me. I believe things happen for a reason. I didn't get a power of this magnitude just because I got lucky in a random genetic lottery."

I tilted my head, looking directly into Logan's eyes.

"The strong exist to protect the weak, giving them the time and safety they need to grow and become strong themselves," I declared firmly. "And hiding in the dark is no way to protect anyone. But sure... maybe that's easy to say coming from me. After all, it's very easy to play the hero when most enemy attacks can't even scratch your skin, right?"

Logan let out a short, raspy laugh, shaking his head. "Yeah... looks like Chuck was slightly mistaken about you, kid."

"Actually, the Professor was just having his usual prudent reaction," I replied with an amused smile. "And well... maybe he's just a bit unaccustomed to the feeling of not being able to read everyone's thoughts around him."

"I think you might be spot on about that, Kael," Charles Xavier's serene voice sounded right behind us. The Professor approached in his motorized wheelchair, wearing his usual gentle, patient smile.

"Professor," I nodded.

"Prudence and the preservation of life are the pillars of my teaching, Kael," Xavier spoke calmly and thoughtfully. "But I recognize the nobility and purity of intent in your words. Only the future will tell which path brings true peace to our people."

"For sure, Professor," I agreed. "Only time will tell."

After that brief chat, the two veterans walked down the hallway. I was left alone for a few seconds until the striking aroma of a floral perfume announced someone else's approach.

"Nice speech, sugah," Rogue's velvety voice echoed beside me.

Turning around, I saw Rogue leaning against the corridor wall, wearing a leather jacket and pink sunglasses.

"Well," I replied, giving a charming smile. "Fortunately, all that posture practice I did in front of the bathroom mirror gave great results."

Rogue let out a low, sultry laugh, stepping closer. "You know something? The girls in the female dorms haven't stopped talking about you for a single second."

"Unluckily, my beauty and charisma are an irresistible burden for the mutant maidens of this mansion," I teased, adjusting my own sunglasses on my face.

"My, my... humility flew right past you, didn't it?" she joked, crossing her arms.

I lowered my sunglasses slightly with the tip of my index finger, looking over the lenses straight into her eyes. "What can I do, Anne dear? I really am all that."

I checked her out from head to toe, appreciating her well-defined curves. "And what is the lady doing tonight?"

"Nothing in mind for now..." she replied, tilting her head with a playful look. "But I have something I'd like to test out. Just don't know if you'll be up for it."

"I highly doubt I'd refuse any offer from you," I answered in a deep voice.

Rogue let out a seductive laugh, gave me a provocative wink, and turned to walk down the hallway, making a point to sway her hips in a hypnotizing way as she walked away.

I watched the view closely. I personally thought she would look for me earlier to explore the fact that I'm immune to her absorption power, rather than after so many days. But I wasn't complaining one bit.

"You can speak, Red," I said into the air without turning around.

Jean Grey stepped out from behind a wooden pillar in the hallway, crossing her arms and trying to maintain a serious posture, though her cheeks were slightly flushed.

"You're quite popular around here, aren't you?" Jean commented, trying to hide her curiosity.

"Well, you know that better than anyone, Red," I teased with a sly grin. "After all, you keep connecting your mind to the girls visiting my room during the late hours."

Jean's green eyes widened, turning completely red. "I-I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Your reaction already answered for you," I let out a low laugh. "To tell you the truth though, it's a huge relief to know it's you telepathically snooping around. If it were Professor Xavier doing that, I don't think I could ever look him in the face again."

Jean blinked a few times, processing the absurdity of my joke, and ended up letting out a genuine laugh, covering her face with her hands. "You outdo yourself every day! What an insane thing to say!"

"I always try to be a unique guy," I replied, winking at her.

Jean regained her composure and looked at me with a more sober gaze. "Seriously though... about what you said to Scott on the mission... do you really believe that if we showed ourselves openly to the world as heroes, things would improve for mutants?"

I put my hands in my pants pockets, adopting a more serious tone. "Regular people aren't insensitive monsters, Jean. The mutant cause is something very easy to embrace if presented the right way. The biggest reason for human hatred and prejudice isn't pure evil, but fear—fear of the unknown and the panic of waking up one day to find out your own kids or relatives turned out to be mutants."

I gave a light shrug.

"Humanity has a habit of following the herd. But if we show them what really happens in the shadows—if we show the villains and hate groups attacking defenseless people—public opinion shifts. The fear of having a mutant child turns into the fear of seeing radical groups in power. Even if that support comes from an egoistic place of human self-preservation, it's still support. Sure... it would be hard, often thankless work, but it's the only real path."

Jean grew deeply thoughtful at my words, absorbing the logic of my reasoning.

"Well... see you later, Red," I said, turning toward my room. "Until tonight."

"I don't spy on your room at night, Kael! You're making things up!" she protested loudly, though the blush on her cheeks gave away the truth.

"If it makes you happy, I'll pretend to believe it," I waved without looking back.

After a long, hot shower in my private bathroom, I stepped out into the room wearing only a towel wrapped around my waist. I was drying my hair with another smaller towel while waiting for Rogue's visit.

Shortly before midnight, a subtle sound of vibration in the side wall caught my attention. Rogue's figure phased right through the solid wood of my bedroom wall, walking inside as if the structure were made of smoke.

I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Walking through walls?"

Rogue gave a playful smile, adjusting the thin black silk nightgown she was wearing—an extremely provocative piece that left very little to the imagination.

"Kitty lent me her power real quick just so I could get here without being seen in the hallway," she explained, stepping toward the bed with slow, sultry steps.

"Well... you look absolutely stunning tonight, sugah," I praised in a deep voice, taking in her curves. "Did something different with your hair?"

Rogue rolled her eyes playfully, though a satisfied smile was plastered on her lips. "Let's get on with it, boy... do you have any idea how long I've waited for this?"

"I apologize deeply for the delay," I replied with a sly grin.

Rogue climbed onto the soft bed, lay back, and parted her legs without any hesitation. I approached the bed, letting the towel drop to the floor and standing completely naked before her.

I adjusted my body between her thighs and prepared to start with oral foreplay. But before I could lean down, Rogue grabbed my shoulders firmly and pulled me up.

"No time for mouth foreplay tonight, Kael... take me now," she whispered in my ear, her voice thick with desire.

I pulled the towel away and stood in my birth suit. I lined my member up against the slit of her lace panties pulled to the side, dripping wet against her entrance. I positioned the head at her opening and began sliding slowly inside. But before I could control the pace, Rogue wrapped her legs firmly around my waist and pulled my hips against hers with force.

The total, instant invasion made my member sink all the way to the root inside her in one single motion.

AH!

Rogue let out a sharp, broken gasp—a mix of initial pain from the quick invasion and an overwhelming pleasure from finally feeling the full, unprotected physical contact of another human being. The walls of her intimacy contracted delightfully around my size.

"Damn... you really were needy, weren't you?" I commented with a teasing smile, feeling the warmth and tightness of her inside.

Rogue let out a breathless laugh, holding my face with both hands and looking straight into my eyes. "Yes! Now stop talking and fuck me for real... we can talk later!"

I didn't need a second invitation. I held her waist firmly and began dictating the rhythm, pulling my hips almost all the way out before plunging with full force against her cervix.

At that exact second, a subtle instinct in my sensory perception lit up a warning in the back of my mind. Thanks to a sort of instinct coming from the many accumulated troops and the Elixir protecting me from everything, I sensed that Rogue's mind was subtly connected to a certain redheaded telepath upstairs. Jean was tracking and feeling every tactile sensation of that experience in real-time.

"Telepaths really are weird figures..." I thought to myself, holding back a laugh.

I focused my full attention on the Southern beauty in front of me. I leaned in and sealed her lips in a deep, passionate kiss while increasing the frequency and intensity of the thrusts. The slapping of my hips against her thighs made a wet, rhythmic sound echoing through the quiet room.

I moved my kisses down her neck to leave my mark on her—marks that would be pretty hard to hide the next morning. Next, I took one of her full breasts into my mouth while my thrusts became as fast and heavy as a hydraulic piston.

In less than five minutes, the Southern beauty hit her limit. The walls of her slit twitched in violent spasms, and she let out a muffled groan of pleasure against my lips, trembling all over in a devastating orgasm.

Even during the peak of her orgasm, I didn't slow down. I used the tightness of her involuntary contractions to drive my thrusts even faster. The firm lock of Rogue's legs around my hips kept me from pulling out when I felt my own eruption reaching its limit after twenty minutes of pounding away.

With one final deep thrust that buried my member to her pubic bone, I released my load. Wave after wave of abundant liquid filled the depths of Rogue's intimacy. The multiplied stamina and vigor I inherited from having so many Goblins in my arsenal allowed me to fill her to the point of overflowing.

I pulled my member out slowly with a wet popping sound. The view of the creampie overflowing from Rogue's slit acted as a powerful visual aphrodisiac: in seconds, my friend was standing at attention once again.

Rogue tried to catch her breath, her chest heaving uncontrollably as she looked down and let out an incredulous laugh. "That... that was absolutely incredible, Kael..."

"And that was just the beginning, sugah," I replied with a sly grin.

She laughed, her eyes glowing with desire. "Then what are you waiting for?"

Without wasting time, I flipped Rogue onto all fours on the bed. I settled behind her, held her hips firmly, and buried my erect member all at once into her wet entrance. The pounding of our bodies resumed with full vigor, making her plump rear wave in a hypnotizing rhythm. And over in that other room down the hall, I had no doubt Miss Grey was in for an extremely long and busy night as well.

The next morning, I woke up feeling completely refreshed. Rogue had already snuck out of the room before dawn, leaving only the scent of her perfume on the pillow.

When I went down to the main cafeteria for breakfast, I immediately noticed the change in the air. The resident girls at the Institute were staring at me with intense, hungry looks—it was as if Pandora's box had been opened in the mansion. I won't lie: I felt like the tastiest piece of meat on the savanna surrounded by graceful predators. The small perks of being an insanely attractive and powerful guy.

I looked over at the corner table and saw Jean Grey sitting alone, sipping very strong coffee, sporting dark circles under her eyes and a visibly exhausted expression. I couldn't help but let out a low, quiet laugh as I looked at her.

I adjusted the collar of my shirt, grabbed an apple off the counter, and smiled at the sunny day starting outside. Later today, the counter will hit 1,000
