Chapter 135 CP0 (2)
Of the four CP0 agents present, three were the white mask, clown mask, and blue bird mask trio specifically assigned to pursue Eric. The fourth was the yellowing mask-wearer Eric had seen earlier at the auction.
"How did you know we were looking for you?" asked the leader of the group—the one with the white mask—quickly picking up on Eric's words.
"...CP0, praised as the strongest shield of the Celestial Dragons, the world's top intelligence agency," Eric began with praise, then his tone shifted sharply. "Also the most loyal lapdogs of the Celestial Dragons, vicious attack dogs who follow their masters' orders."
"What did you say?!" the one wearing the bird-head mask clearly lacked emotional control, getting angry far too easily.
"Since I killed those Celestial Dragon scumbags, it's obvious the Five Elders would send their face-saving watchdogs after us. Isn't that obvious? If you can't figure that out, you really don't deserve the title of top intelligence agency. What a joke~" His sudden ridicule ignited fury in the group.
"I'm just curious... how do you compare to Akainu?"
"Heh, you'll find out soon enough. [Soru]!" The four CP0 agents vanished in the eyes of ordinary people.
Tch, these CP0 really had no sense of honor—attacking mid-trash talk without warning.
They simultaneously used Soru, one of the Rokushiki techniques, darting in from four directions—above, middle, left, and right—to corner Eric and deliver a fatal blow.

Esdeath narrowed her eyes, her gaze full of bloodlust, locking onto the two CP0 in the air.
"White Ice Shardstorm!"
Countless sharp ice crystals formed midair. "Go!" At her command, the shards rained like arrows toward the two enemies.
[Geppo] [Kami-e]!
Forced back into the air, the two CP0 used Geppo to dart around, and Kami-e to contort their bodies, dodging the incoming barrage.
"My, my~"
Esdeath watched them closely. "So that's how you move midair, huh."
Boom boom boom!
Wearing high-heeled boots, Esdeath launched into the air with explosive shockwaves, heading straight for them.
"What?!" The clown and yellow mask CP0 were stunned—she learned Geppo just from watching once?!
"This is one of your navy's so-called Rokushiki, right? Looks impressive, but it's pretty basic—anyone can do it." Esdeath reached their altitude mid-sentence.
With her Haki-hardened boots, she spun midair, executing a powerful hook kick from above.
[Iron Body]
The clown-masked one couldn't dodge and had to block. With triple defense—Haki reinforcement, Haki hardening, and Iron Body—he crossed his arms above his head.
BOOM!
Like a meteor crashing down, he was kicked straight into the building below. The roof collapsed instantly, reducing the structure to rubble.
"Barbo!" the yellow-masked one shouted.
"And you're next!"
Esdeath's right fist, encased in ice, hammered him straight down.

"Power Shot!" Chiron fired a fully charged arrow, intercepting the blue bird-masked CP0 on the far left. The arrow streaked through the night sky, leaving a glowing white trail before vanishing into the distance.
Forced to stop his dash, the bird-mask CP0 halted.
Meanwhile, Akame had erased her presence like a ghost. With her left hand on her scabbard and right on her hilt, she suddenly appeared behind the bird-mask.
Sensing danger through Observation Haki, the CP0 agent's soul nearly left his body.
[Kami-e]!
His body bent like paper as he ducked, dodging Akame's Iaijutsu slash.
[Rankyaku]!
Crouching like a spring, he launched himself backward while kicking out twin blade-like air slashes from both legs.
"Moon Burial!"
Akame raised her demon sword Murasame with both hands, channeling all her strength into a single devastating slash!
A jet-black blade wave tore through the blue air blades, continuing its ferocious path toward him.
[Kami-e]
The CP0 twisted his body to evade—but the black slash was too fast. It shaved off the long beak of his mask, revealing his nose.

Now only the white-masked CP0 remained. Eric drew the Gae Bolg given to him by Scáthach and swept the spear toward him.
"!"
CP0 clenched his fist and punched toward the glowing red spear tip.
CLANG!
The clash of fist and spear rang like metal, the shockwave scattering dust in every direction.
"Let's go again!" Eric roared, pulling his right arm back into a sharp 60-degree bend. The spear's red tip dipped toward the ground.
"Watch this!"
With a forceful sweep, Eric slashed the spear tip across the ground, then sharply redirected it upward toward the man's heart.
'I can't dodge!' instinct screamed at the white-masked CP0.
[Iron Body!]
He poured all his power into his right fist—Iron Body, Armament Haki reinforcement, and hardening—smashing it into the oncoming spear.
"Haaah! Gae Bolg: Thorn of Death!"
Eric shouted to channel the force of the technique—coating the hardened spear tip in Haki and executing the freshly learned technique from his master.
BOOM!
The clash of Haki and strength caused a violent explosion at the center of the battle, engulfing both in dust.
Eric blinked out of the dust cloud.
Kurumi, worried by the explosion, quickly called out, "Eric-! Are you okay? You're not hurt, right?"
It sounded just like a doting mother seeing her child off, a little naggy but filled with warmth.
Hearing her, Eric smiled. "I'm not about to get wounded in the first round. Trust me, Kurumi."
Whoosh!
The white-masked CP0 burst from the dust cloud, leaving a trail in the air behind him.
But his new target wasn't Eric—it was Kurumi.
"Ara, am I your target now?"
"Second Bullet!"
Kurumi pulled in black mist from the II mark on her clock, firing at the incoming attacker.
"The bullet that stopped Sakazuki?!"
The white-mask agent didn't dare take the hit. He sidestepped the shot, but Eric seized the moment. With a wide sweeping strike, the red spear slashed in front, forcing the enemy back.
The distance between the two sides widened again.
Eric used [Mind Net] to monitor the battlefield—Chiron and Akame were suppressing one CP0 agent together.
Esdeath was dominating her fight, using her power for large-scale attacks and controlling the battlefield. With her unmatched combat ability, she toyed with the two agents like a cat playing with mice.
Eric finally asked curiously, "There's one thing I don't get. You guys are clearly underpowered… so how exactly did you think you were going to capture us?"
