"Kael, wait!"
He didn't. He just kept walking like he was trying to outrun a scandal, which...okay...maybe he was.
"Kael!" I called again, jogging after him until he stopped under a tree. His arms were crossed, his expression unreadable. If I didn't know better, I'd say he looked… hurt.
And that made my stomach twist.
"Listen," I started, trying to catch my breath. "The whole thing with the flower...it wasn't...ugh...it was for comedy!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Comedy?"
"Yes!" I threw my hands up. "It's Zeref! I wanted to see him blush, not...whatever you thought that was!"
He just stared at me, silent and infuriatingly composed. Something inside me snapped.
So I marched up, slammed one hand against the tree beside his head,
Kabedon.

Kael's eyes widened, startled. I froze, realizing what I'd just done. My face was inches from his. I could feel his breath.
"I..uh...this is not what it looks like," I blurted.
