Something feels different but at the same time it feels the same to me I cant quite figure it out it's like it's in the wind like I can smell it how you can smell when it's about to rain and your whole-body tingles and feels alive again. but nothing is different I am still a mate less 23 year old with a pack of idiots I have to watch out for to make sure they don't die don't get me wrong their not all bad my bata Janae she is amazing always hands on takes care of things I can't or that I have forgotten about right now she dose two jobs she is my bata and she is acting luna until the day I find my mate. its better this way. she keeps the hungry she wolfs away from me who only want power, and she gets two titles it isn't perfect by any means, but it works for us. but like I was saying something just feels different today. have I forgotten something today Janae I ask because God knows she will tell me if I did. Not that I can recall we are still on to take off towards Johnson's farm later this afternoon to see if there is anything we can do for his dying mate. I smile as I think back of all the great times, we used to have at the Johnson farm that is where our little pack started there was only four of us Janae, Tom Johnson, Nancy Johnson his little human mate and myself. we were so long i had just turned 18 tom was 20 janae was only 16 at the time and nacy was also 18 they were my bestfriends when i couldnt take being under my fathers thumb any longer and decided to leave they left with me i will never forget when we found that farm tom declaring me their alpha and saying he will fallow me through hell and back and i can say every single one of them kept that promise even after we all went our separate ways tom and Nancy took over the farm and me and Janae went back to our pack so i could take what was rightfully mine but we always kept in touch so you can imagine how my heart broke when i found out in a letter from Nancy that tom had passed on he was very ill he had gotten into a fight with a rough trying to pertect his mate and their daughter and he took some very bad damage from the rough i found out later on that same rough had dipped his claws in wolf bane the rough had decided toms fate before he even had a chance it broke mine and my wolfs heart when we found out he had passed away he left Nancy and his daughter behind but I swore that day when we barred tom that I would pertect them with my life so I ordered my best watcher to keep an eye on them and last month when I did my monthly check in with him I was notified that Nancy had taken a turn for the worst when you lose a mate your body starts to shut down because you can't live without the other half of your soul and poor sweet Nancy is starting to shut down so we are going to the farm to see what we can do for her make her comfortable help her get her things in order i had my watcher notify her about our visit I don't know what to expect but i know their daughter just turned 18 last month and she still doesn't know of our existence Nancy and tom thought it better for her to not know in case the human gene was stronger than the wolf so I need to go down and deal with that as well i have to decide if she is better off coming home with us her family or staying there at the farm and just keeping my watcher there to keep an eye on her i run a hand over my face and sigh this is going to be a long week Janae.
