Edith wondered who this important person was who wanted to see her, and who had asked her to talk in the car. As she entered a white sedan, her eyes widened as she stared at the figure of Cliff's biological mother. They had met in person before, having been introduced to her several times, but her relationship with Cliff's mother wasn't good. Furthermore, she believed this meeting wasn't about Cliff.
"Good afternoon, Auntie," Edith greeted, bowing her head.
"Welcome, Edith. We haven't seen each other for a long time," said Diana with a friendly smile.
"Thank you for inviting me. It's an honor to meet you."
"Actually, my reason for coming to you now is because I'm curious about your relationship with Cliff. You haven't visited me with him lately."
Edith lowered her head for a moment, staring at her fingers. "I'm sorry. I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time."
"Are you guys fighting?"
Edith shook her head quickly. "No. Cliff and I are fine, actually."
