Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 — Studying Medicine Can’t Save the Ninja World!

The border of the Land of Rain was cloaked in a curtain of drizzle. Mist hung low over the muddy encampment of Konoha's forces, turning the air heavy and damp. Soldiers trudged past the rows of tents, their boots sinking into wet earth, their breaths misting in the gray light.

Inside one of the larger tents, a faint scent of ink and medicine lingered. Scrolls and supply ledgers were stacked high on a wooden desk, and behind it sat a young man in a Konoha forehead protector, his expression calm and focused.

Across from him, Tsunade — the famed medical prodigy and commander of the logistics corps — leaned lazily against a chair, her golden hair spilling over her shoulders. Her sharp eyes watched the boy in front of her with faint amusement.

"Hey, Uchiha brat," she said, a teasing smile curling her lips. "Studying medicine won't save the ninja world."

The boy looked up. Though his features still carried a trace of childishness, his eyes were steady — filled with a seriousness that seemed almost out of place for someone his age.

"Captain Tsunade," he said firmly, "for Konoha — for the Will of Fire — I'll do whatever it takes."

Tsunade chuckled, shaking her head. "Will of Fire, huh? You Uchiha really do take yourselves too seriously."

Her tone was playful, but in her heart, she sighed. Another one blinded by ideals, another young fool who thought belief alone could change the world.

The boy's name was Uchiha Ye — a recent graduate from the academy, same year as Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. Because of his excellent written test scores and steady temperament, he'd been assigned to assist Tsunade during the Second Great Ninja War. For a year now, he had worked under her command, mostly in logistics.

"Alright then, genius," Tsunade said, stretching as she glanced at the stack of papers on his desk. "How's the latest inventory report? And don't tell me you've finally managed to master the Palm Sage Technique."

Her tone was light, but her golden eyes gleamed with curiosity.

Ye hesitated, then scratched his cheek awkwardly. "Captain… I'm still training. I haven't perfected the technique yet. But—" he held out a freshly compiled report, "—the logistics inventory is complete."

Tsunade raised an eyebrow, taking the scroll from his hands. As her eyes skimmed the neat rows of numbers and notes, her lips curved in a small smile. For all his seriousness, the boy was undeniably competent. He had a mind for details — something rare among shinobi.

"Not bad," she said finally. "You're efficient. You've made my life easier, Uchiha brat."

Ye bowed slightly. "I'm glad I can be of help, Captain Tsunade."

Tsunade leaned back, exhaling. "Honestly, half the supply corps would be in chaos if not for you. At least someone here knows how to count."

Her tone was casual, but beneath it lay a weight. Outside, the rain drummed steadily against the tent walls — a reminder of the grim reality they lived in. The war had dragged on for years, devouring soldiers, resources, and hope alike. Even Tsunade, the strongest medic-nin in Konoha, couldn't save everyone.

Her gaze softened for a moment as she looked at Ye. The boy reminded her of her younger brother — earnest, naive, and painfully loyal.

But Ye's expression was unreadable. Behind those calm eyes, something else flickered — a quiet, calculating glint.

High-level hunters often look like prey, he thought to himself.

After a moment, he spoke up. "Captain Tsunade, there's… something I need to report."

"Oh?" Tsunade tilted her head, curious. "What is it, kid? Don't tell me you lost another batch of medical scrolls."

Ye shook his head. His voice lowered slightly, and his expression grew serious. "This concerns… Elder Uchiha."

Tsunade's playful expression vanished instantly. Her eyes hardened, and her posture straightened. "Elder Uchiha? You mean… Uchiha Setsuna?"

Ye nodded gravely.

Setsuna — the name carried weight. He was an infamous figure, one of the last remnants of Madara Uchiha's ideology — a man who once tried to lead his clan in rebellion against the village. Arrested by the Second Hokage's Anbu, he was later imprisoned, but rumors said he still held influence within the clan's shadow.

Tsunade frowned. "That man is dangerous, Ye. Whatever he's up to, stay away from it."

"I know," Ye said quietly. "But he sent me a scroll. He told me it was vital to the clan's survival — and that it should be delivered directly to you."

He reached into his pouch and pulled out a sealed green scroll, bowing respectfully as he held it out. "Captain Tsunade, if there's anything suspicious about this, I'll take full responsibility."

Tsunade studied the boy's face. There was no hint of deceit in his expression — only conviction. She hesitated, then took the scroll.

"You've been under my watch for over a year now," she said softly. "You're loyal, even if you're a bit naive. Fine. I'll take a look."

As Ye lowered his gaze, a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Finally, he thought. Let the real game begin.

He had been in this world for twelve years — twelve long years since he had opened his eyes as Uchiha Ye. Born into a clan destined for tragedy, he knew how the story ended. The Uchiha would one day be branded as traitors, isolated, and slaughtered.

But Ye refused to accept that fate.

He had lived an entire life before — a lifetime as a businessman who built an empire in the cutthroat markets of northern Myanmar. Negotiation, deception, strategy — these were tools he had mastered long before chakra. And now, reborn into this world of ninja and bloodlines, he had power beyond imagination at his fingertips.

So why, he thought bitterly, should he live humbly and perish forgotten?

As Tsunade broke the scroll's seal, Ye watched her closely. Her expression shifted from curiosity to alarm, then to anger.

Her eyes snapped up to him. "Uchiha Ye," she said sharply, "do you know what's written here?"

Ye blinked, startled. "Captain Tsunade?"

"This scroll," she said, slamming it onto the desk, "is a manifesto — a declaration of dissent. That old fool Setsuna is trying to drive a wedge between the Uchiha and the village!"

Ye froze, then slowly shook his head, feigning shock. "That can't be! Captain Tsunade, I swear — I didn't know!"

"Don't play games with me, kid." Tsunade's chakra flared faintly, the air around her humming with restrained power. "Do you realize how dangerous this is?"

"I understand!" Ye said quickly, lowering his head. "If this scroll threatens the village, I'll take whatever punishment you decide. But please, believe me — I would never betray Konoha!"

Tsunade's anger softened slightly. The boy's reaction — wide-eyed, desperate, and sincere — seemed genuine. She exhaled slowly, forcing her temper down.

"You really are a fool," she muttered. "A fool… but probably not a traitor."

After a long silence, she looked at him again. "Aren't you curious what's written in that scroll?"

Ye hesitated, then nodded hesitantly. "May I?"

Tsunade handed it back to him. "Read it. See for yourself."

He unrolled the parchment, eyes darting across the inked characters — lines filled with venom, urging rebellion, condemning the village leadership. Words that, if revealed, could ignite civil war within Konoha itself.

His face darkened as he read. Then he slammed the scroll shut, his voice trembling with anger. "That old bastard! Captain Tsunade, you can't believe this nonsense. He's trying to pit us against each other!"

His sudden fury caught even Tsunade off guard. For a moment, she saw not a naive boy, but a young man seething with conviction — the kind of fire that once burned in her brother's eyes.

She frowned. "Calm down, kid. I'm not that easily fooled. Still… this kind of information can't be allowed to spread. Not a word of this leaves this tent. Understand?"

"Yes, Captain Tsunade," Ye said solemnly. "With the war still raging, we can't afford internal chaos. I'll keep silent."

Tsunade nodded approvingly. "Good. Now get some rest. You've done enough for today."

Ye bowed deeply and turned to leave. But as he stepped out into the rain, his lips curled into a faint, knowing smile.

Perfect, he thought. Let the bullets fly for a while.

The seeds had been planted — suspicion, information, and leverage. Konoha's politics were a battlefield just as deadly as any front line. And he, Uchiha Ye, intended to win.

Inside the tent, Tsunade stared at the closed flap, her thoughts a storm of unease. She didn't know what kind of game the Uchiha were playing, but something about that boy felt… off. Too composed. Too deliberate.

Still, she sighed and rubbed her temples. "I'm overthinking it," she muttered. "He's just a kid."

But even she couldn't shake the faint feeling that, somewhere beneath that obedient smile, Uchiha Ye was quietly setting the stage for something much larger.

Outside, the rain continued to fall — steady, cold, relentless.

In the midst of war and suspicion, a single spark had been lit.

And Uchiha Ye — the boy who believed studying medicine couldn't save the ninja world — had just taken his first step toward rewriting its fate.
