Chapter 6
THE NEXT DAY, I took a shower right away and put on my clothes. I still wasn't comfortable because it was a bit short, but it would have to do.
"I'll drive you."
I froze and looked at Eron when I reached the living room. I looked at him from head to toe... He's really charismatic and attractive. He was just wearing a simple t-shirt and pants, but he still had a strong presence. Anyone would probably turn to look at him.
"I don't want to bother you any longer, Eron," I said, adjusting my glasses.
Eron laughed and put his hand in his pocket. "I thought we're friends, Cristina."
I couldn't say anything to that. He just smiled and motioned for me to follow him. I sighed and followed him out of his house... When we got outside, I realized how big his house was. I don't even know if it's right to call it a house; it was more like a mansion.
My mouth even fell open when we got to the garage because there were so many cars there... He seemed richer than I thought.
He opened the car door for me. I just smiled and thanked him and got inside. I felt like I could smell Eron all over his car. It looked like the scent of his perfume had stuck even here. I just sighed and shook my head... I looked at Eron when he got in the car.
"Do you live here alone?" I asked when he started the car.
He nodded. "Hmm, just me."
I couldn't help but be amazed when the gate of his house opened on its own. It also closed by itself when the car we were in got out. I just quietly looked out the window and watched the places we were passing. It looked like we were in an exclusive village because all I could see were beautiful and huge houses.
In a few moments, we arrived at the apartment I was staying in. Eron immediately got out and opened the door for me and held my hand to help me down. I felt my cheeks heat up, but I tried to act normal. I just smiled and thanked him.
"Thank you for the help and everything, Eron. And sorry for the inconvenience," I said before I entered the apartment.
Eron smiled and nodded. "No worries. So, I'll go ahead now. Bye, Cristina... I hope to meet you again," he said, waving before getting in his car and speeding off.
I just watched his car as it drove away. I don't know why I'm suddenly disappointed... I really hope we meet again.
"Why are you suddenly asking to go to a bar, Cristina?" Irish asked, raising an eyebrow.
I just bit my lower lip and fixed my glasses. I had been cooped up in my apartment for almost three days. I just asked Irish to go to the CAD Bar today. To be honest, I've wanted to go there for three days, but I waited for three days because I didn't want Eron to think I was too excited to see him.
"Nothing... for a change," I mumbled and combed my hair with my fingers.
"Oh, are you looking for a boyfriend now?" she asked.
I couldn't answer. I just laughed, shaking my head, and looked at myself in the mirror. I just wore a simple off-shoulder top and jeans. I didn't care if I looked out of place in that bar. I'm really not comfortable wearing a dress.
"Do you want me to help you find a potential boyfriend? I'm an expert at that, sis," Irish said, putting her arm around me as we entered the bar.
My eyes immediately looked for Eron. I just bit my lower lip out of disappointment when I couldn't find him... It seems like I came at the wrong time.
"Hey, I thought you were here to find a boyfriend? You won't find a hot guy if you're just moping around there," Irish scolded me.
"Go ahead, I-I'll just order some drinks," I said, giving her a faint smile.
"Okay, girl. I'll also find you a potential boyfriend while I'm flirting at the same time."
I just laughed, shaking my head at what she said, and watched her until she went to the dance floor. I just sighed and stayed at the counter even though I wasn't really going to order any drinks.
I don't know how long I've been sitting here. I wanted to go home, but Irish would probably pull my hair out if I did.
"Hey... You're here."
I froze and almost jumped in surprise when I heard that familiar voice. I just swallowed and tried to calm my racing heart... I felt him sit beside me, and I immediately smelled his familiar perfume scent.
I looked at him and did my best to smile naturally. "H-Hello, Eron." I adjusted my glasses and cleared my throat.
"Hi, Cristina... Why aren't you drinking anything?" he asked.
I just shook my head. "I'm not in the mood."
"Oh, you're bored, aren't you?" he asked with a smirk.
"Kinda," I answered briefly.
"My table is over there... Do you want to sit there instead?" he asked, pointing to a table not far away; there was no one there.
I just followed Eron and went there because it was a bit chaotic at the counter. We went there and sat on the couch. Eron lifted his arm and put it on top of the backrest. I just bit my lower lip because it felt like he was putting his arm around me again. He seems to really like doing that.
I discreetly took my phone to text Irish and tell her I had company. She might get worried because I suddenly disappeared from the counter.
"I thought you weren't going to come here again," Eron said, drinking the alcohol in his glass.
"Um... my friend invited me, so I just came along." I'm sorry, Irish.
Eron nodded and scratched his eyebrow. "Good thing you're here. I've been waiting for you here for a few days. I thought you weren't going to come."
"Y-You're waiting for me?" I asked and looked at him.
That was probably the wrong move because I almost went cross-eyed since our faces were so close. I cleared my throat when I accidentally inhaled his minty breath. It smells like mint with a mix of cigarette and liquor... I just avoided his gaze and bit my lower lip. My pulse raced for some unknown reason.
"You don't act like a friend at all," I mumbled in a soft voice. I don't know if he heard that.
"Really? What do you think I'm doing, then?" he asked and moved even closer to me.
I gathered my courage and looked at him again and stared into his eyes... "You're low-key flirting with me."
Eron chuckled. "Am I?" He touched the back of his neck.
I bit the insides of my cheeks while staring at his sexy hazel eyes. I can't take my eyes off them... It's like something is pulling me to stare even more into his eyes. My heart is also beating faster, and my breathing is getting heavier... I feel like he's feeling the same way.
"W-What are you implying?" I asked him.
"Don't you feel the sexual tension between us, Cristina? It's too strong... it's pulling us together," he muttered and gently touched my jaw with his index finger. My hair almost stood on end when he did that, and I felt something weird, like an electric current flowing through my body.
"Friends don't feel something like that towards each other..." I mumbled.
Eron laughed sexily and bit his lower lip. "Of course, they do, Cristina... I will ask you for the last time, and I want you to answer it seriously this time..." He brought his nose to my cheek. His arm that was on the backrest slowly went down to my shoulder. He gently pulled me closer to him and whispered in my ear. "Since we're friends now, we can't be just some fuck buddies, don't you think?" I felt his lips touch my ear. "How about friends with benefits?"
I gulped and stared at him. Eron moved his lips away from my ear and stared at me too... This time it feels different... He's the one who initiated it; it's less embarrassing this way.
I bit my lower lip before I responded... "S-Sure... why not?" I said, imitating what he said last time, acting like I'm cool with it even though my knees are literally shaking right now.
Eron grinned at me and held my cheek. "You better not take it back, Cristina... I'm serious as fuck this time."
I just let out a gasp when he suddenly cupped both of my cheeks and aggressively crushed his hot lips on mine.
