Noah nodded his head slowly, his quiet gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside the tinted car window.
"Okay," he murmured, his voice barely louder than a whisper as he leaned his head back.
"You can go ahead and do that. I will be looking forward to seeing the results."
Adam looked over at Noah, his heart aching at the sight of his spouse's pale, exhausted profile. He could not help but let out a quiet sigh.
He understood exactly what was probably running through Noah's mind right now.
Because of the childhood baby pictures, the official place of birth recorded on his certificates, and all the documents he had grown up seeing, Noah truly and deeply believed that the Walkers were his biological parents.
In his mind, he had accepted the painful reality that they were simply terrible people who happened to hate his very existence.
But Adam was absolutely not willing to believe that. Noah was incredibly sweet, gentle, and utterly likable.
