Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Ray pov

Starching is a relaxing activity that most people enjoy. I have a question. Why am I suffering from it?

"Hey, I am trying to help you, so stop whining about it!"

"I wouldn't have if you were not forcing my body to bend beyond its limits."

As I spoke, Aleyas kicked me in the back, causing me to fall face down on the grass. I tried to get back up, but my body wouldn't cooperate. Watching my struggle, she asked, "What did you do to your body?"

"Trust me, you really don't want to know."

"I have a way to help that's much easier than what you're trying to do, but you'll have to make me an offer." A mischievous smile spread across her face as she said this.

The more time I spent with her, the more I realised that she was unlike my aunt; she was actually more cunning and smarter. While my aunt never used words to hurt me, this girl inflicted emotional pain that was worse than the physical beatings my aunt would give.

"What are guys doing ?"

A voice spoke, and we all recognised it. Bron approached us and lifted me by my back, stretching my body. I felt as if every bone in my being had cracked. When he finished, I felt a profound sense of peace.

As we glanced at the park, we decided to meet. Bron didn't wait as he said, "So let the training begin!"

Aleyas and I glanced at each other with tired expressions, looking back towards him. We screamed with a weak and tired voice saying "Yeahhhhhh!"

After a while, I thought, 'This most excruciating thing I've ever done, aside from what I'm doing right now, was incredibly tiring.'

I glanced toward Aleyas to see that she was experiencing the same physical pain I was in, but Bron was in a different world altogether. He had gone so far ahead that we could not catch up to him, nor could we even compete. After a while, we sat down on the bench to rest.

Aleyas shouted at him, "Have you lost your mind, making us sprint like we are in a marathon? Just because you were born with superhuman abilities does not make you superior to us!"

She pointed her finger at Bron, who was scared. I looked at those two, who were talking it out. I felt a sense of awe, like I didn't belong here, yet I also felt that I belonged here.

Those thoughts did not leave me, especially after encountering that monster. I stood up from the bench and looked at Bron my eyes filled with confidence.

I said to him," Hey, Bron, let's have a duel."

Hearing my words, he started growing in confidence. Aleyas, on the other hand, slapped me on the face.

Her face was dark, emanating with anger. The feeling is the same feeling I felt as my aunt through the utensil at me before I could explain myself, she grabbed me by the neck and said to me," What made you think it was a good idea to fight at this time?"

I slowly started explaining to her that we were going to do spare, not like we're going to kill each other.

She let go of my neck as I stood up and we all three of us started walking into the middle of the park, it was the most free and beautiful area of seen it took me a while to realise that I had a memory of this area playing with Bron and Aleyas but it did happen it is just the effect of me entering the time void.

After a brief pause, Bron and I faced each other on the lush, green expanse of land. We exchanged determined glances, each of us ready to claim victory in this fight. I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of the moment as I studied Bron.

His gaze was sharp and unwavering, as if this were just another day in his routine, utterly unfazed by the impending clash. I braced myself, preparing to dodge or block any strike he might unleash.

Aleyas stood outside the field, her cold expression, shivering us both, not wasting time. Aleyas spoke with a cold and intimidating voice," On the count of 3, you two will start." Hearing her voice made me regret the decision I made, not waiting for a response. Aleyas continued saying, "one… two…. Three…"
