Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 — Only for You

Nashville sits in the south-central United States. It's not only the capital of Tennessee but also famously known as the heart of country music.

You can find more than just country tunes there — rock, blues, and R&B fill the streets with rhythm and life.

Luke chose Nashville as the final stop of their trip, hoping to fulfill one of Yuffie's dreams.

Though she'd traveled with her mom to many places since moving to North America, she'd never really experienced a truly slow-paced, relaxing trip.

That's why Luke decided they'd take the train instead of a fast flight — and why he chose a cheerful destination like a music festival. He wanted her to feel something calm and comfortable.

From the moment they boarded, it was clear this trip would be a happy one. After all, where you go and what you do matter less than who you're with.

They were on a sightseeing train. Even though they didn't manage to get a sleeper cabin, their first-class seats were spacious and comfortable.

The train had huge glass windows on both sides, giving passengers an incredible panoramic view.

As they talked and admired the scenery rolling by, their laughter filled the cabin — a picture of slow, easy living.

Sometimes, the best moments don't need a goal. If you ever recorded a couple's conversations, you'd realize that most of what they say to each other are silly little things.

But isn't that what love is about?

Even the silliest words sound sweet when they come from someone you care about.

If every word had to serve a purpose, that wouldn't be love anymore — that would be a negotiation.

Luke suddenly remembered something.

"Hey, didn't you promise me you'd wear those white stockings next time we met?" he teased.

Yuffie smiled playfully. "I did. I keep my promises."

He glanced at her outfit — light blue jeans and white sneakers — and raised an eyebrow.

"Really? I don't see them."

She laughed. "They're underneath!"

She bent slightly and pulled up her pant leg just enough to reveal the white fabric beneath.

Luke couldn't help smiling. Her playful tone and confidence made the moment even sweeter.

Seeing his amused look, she chuckled and changed the subject.

He reached into his bag and handed her a small, neatly wrapped box.

"Here — a belated New Year's gift. I owe you one since I was filming in Hong Kong during the holidays."

Inside was a delicate bracelet made of white nylon cord with three red beads woven into it. It looked simple, but it carried meaning..

And the cord, made from high-grade aerospace nylon, was durable yet soft to the touch.

He'd picked the seeds himself and woven the bracelet by hand.

Yuffie's smile softened. "Thank you. I really love it."

She slipped it onto her wrist, then shyly pulled a small gift box from her own bag.

"My turn. Here — open it."

Inside was a small brown leather wallet, handcrafted and stitched by her. The sewing wasn't perfectly straight, but it had a personal, heartfelt charm.

"You made this yourself?" Luke asked, surprised.

She nodded, a little embarrassed. "Yeah. Took me a few days, but I guess it's pretty obvious I'm not a professional."

He smiled warmly. "That's what makes it unique. I love it."

She looked away, her ears turning pink. "You should open it, though."

When he did, he found all the standard compartments — and a photo tucked neatly inside.

It was a picture of Yuffie in a white dress, smiling under the sunlight, looking effortlessly beautiful and full of life.

Her expression was gentle yet confident — pure and bright, just like the feeling she brought into his life.

At that moment, Luke realized something: the wallet wasn't really the gift. The photo was.

Yuffie glanced at him and said softly, "I wasn't trying to be sneaky… I just wanted something that was meant for your eyes only."
