The rising sun represented hope to the Demon Slayer Corps—and absolute despair to Muzan.
Watching the light creep closer, panic flooded his eyes.
But the warriors wouldn't give him any opportunity to escape. They forced their broken bodies upright, weapons raised—every second counted.
"Insect Breathing: Dance of the Bee Sting—True Flutter!"
Shinobu's devastating thrust pierced straight through Muzan's skull, injecting massive quantities of neural paralysis toxin—the latest compound she and Tamayo had developed together.
Shinobu's body was covered in wounds—arms, legs, torso all bearing injuries of varying severity. She knew her strength was insufficient, even with the Enhancement Pills. Throughout the battle, her sister and clone had protected her.
Now she wanted to use her final reserves to resist Muzan alongside everyone else.
The neural toxin flooding his brain caused severe vertigo. But Muzan refused to surrender—his remaining whips lashed out in continued assault.
The Hashira who'd arrived blocked every appendage with their weapons.
Tengen, Sanemi, Muichiro, Obanai, and Kanae pinned down the remaining tube whips with their blades.
Kyojuro and Giyu drove their swords through Muzan's legs—fixing him in place once more.
Mitsuri's whip-blade coiled around Muzan's face, preventing his massive maw from opening.
Gyomei's axe flew through the air—embedding itself with surgical precision in Muzan's shoulder.
At this rate, Muzan's death was certain. But one final twist remained.
In his last moments, Muzan gambled everything. His body erupted with another shockwave—more violent than any previous explosion.
The other Hashira were thrown backward, suffering critical injuries as they crashed to the ground. The building behind them collapsed under the devastating force.
Only Kaido and Tanjiro held their positions—gripping their weapons despite being drenched in blood.
Kaido's condition was catastrophic. The shockwave had inflicted grievous damage. His clothing was half-soaked crimson. His long white hair was matted with blood—Muzan's and his own.
Suddenly Kaido's Hyper-Awareness activated. He released one hand, grabbed Tanjiro's collar, and hurled him backward.
"KAIDO-SAN!"
Watching from where he'd landed, Tanjiro saw Muzan's tube whips pierce both of Kaido's arms—and one impale his abdomen.
Despite this, Kaido didn't surrender. One hand gripped the Longsword. The other seized Tanjiro's Nichirin blade—still embedded in Muzan's body.
Both weapons turned increasingly red as his grip tightened. Solar-intensity heat made Muzan vomit blood.
"LET GO!"
"NEVER! Muzan... I told you... I will personally drag you down to hell..."
As he finished speaking, sunlight reached them—striking Muzan's face. Searing agony erupted across his flesh.
'The sun has risen. I have to escape! If I shrink my body, I'll burn instantly. I need a shield—flesh to protect myself!'
His form began swelling—transforming into a monstrous infant.
At that moment, Kanae pushed her speed to its absolute limit—grabbing Kaido and pulling him free from Muzan's reach.
One second later, and the infantile form would have absorbed him completely.
"I have to escape!" Facing sunlight, Muzan had no options left. He controlled his grotesque infant body to crawl rapidly through the ruined streets.
"Don't let him reach the shadows! Stop him!" Kiriya transmitted orders through the talismans.
Other Corps members had already prepared. From damaged buildings, they pushed heavy objects down onto the crawling monstrosity—blocking his path.
"One, two, three—PUSH!"
"Keep pushing! Don't let that bastard escape!"
CRASH! CRASH!
Object after object rained down, hammering the infant's skull.
Muzan ignored the pain—focused entirely on escape. Nothing would stop him from reaching shelter.
"Go! Next one!" Kiriya continued directing operations.
"DIE, BASTARD!" Kakushi members joined the assault—driving antique cars at full speed into the infant form.
BOOOOOOOOM!!
The vehicle crumpled on impact, deforming completely. But it couldn't stop Muzan.
He raised a massive infant arm and brought it down—crushing the car flat. The Kakushi operator escaped moments before impact.
"Quick! Keep pushing! We have to stop Muzan from escaping!"
Corps members and Kakushi worked together—pushing a massive bus into Muzan's path as a barricade.
"PUSH HARDER! Don't be afraid! No matter what happens—DON'T RETREAT!"
"The Hashira can't fight anymore! It's our turn to help them!"
"Don't back down! KEEP PUSHING! Don't be scared—we're all in this together!"
Muzan's terror intensified. He could feel his life draining away rapidly. Without escape, sunlight would kill him within minutes.
He raised his massive arm again—
"Wind Breathing, Ninth Form: Idaten Typhoon!"
"Sound Breathing, First Form: Roar!"
Sanemi leapt skyward, blade carving through the descending arm. Tengen followed from another angle—dual swords smashing a massive gash into the infant's skull.
"Your life's tougher than a cockroach's! TURN TO ASH ALREADY, YOU BASTARD!"
Muzan continued struggling—using his remaining arm to push against the bus, trying to climb over.
But the others wouldn't allow it. Gyomei whipped his chain forward—looping it around the infant's neck and pulling from behind.
Muichiro, Kanae, Shinobu, Giyu, Kyojuro, Mitsuri, and Obanai all rushed to assist—splitting into two groups to pull the chains together, preventing Muzan's advance.
"Keep going! Hold on! We can't let Muzan escape again!"
Seeing reinforcements, everyone rushed forward to help pull the chains. Muzan couldn't resist the combined force. His body was dragged backward—collapsing into full sunlight exposure.
Muzan's flesh began burning under solar radiation.
"BURN FASTER! TURN TO ASH! DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY!"
But Muzan refused surrender even now. He flipped onto his stomach, face-down—attempting to dig into the ground and hide underground to escape the sun.
"NO! Muzan's trying to burrow underground! Stop him!" Gyomei shouted. Everyone poured their remaining strength into the chains.
Sanemi and Tengen tried standing—but their critical injuries combined with their earlier strikes caused them to vomit blood as wounds tore open.
CRACK!!
The chain couldn't withstand the tension. It began fracturing, snapping apart. Momentum threw Gyomei's group backward as the chain broke.
"Damn it! Quick! Don't stop! Anyone who can still attack—KEEP ATTACKING! We absolutely cannot let Muzan escape!"
At that critical moment, Kaido appeared before everyone—both hands seizing the infant's ankles in a death grip. His fingers dug into the flesh.
"ENOUGH... YOU BASTARD! AAAHHHHH!"
ROAR!!
A sound like a dragon's furious cry. Power erupted from his body—matching his full-strength prime. He yanked Muzan's half-buried form completely out of the ground, then hurled him with devastating force—smashing him into a building wall.
Muzan was exposed to sunlight once more. But it wasn't over. Kaido burned his remaining mental energy—telekinetically commanding the Longsword to tear free from Muzan's body and return to his hand.
"MUZAN—GO TO HELL!"
"Dragon Breathing, Fifth Form Modified: Dragon Cleave!"
The Longsword carved at blinding speed. Massive dragon-head projectiles poured forth—every single one striking Muzan. Several punched clean through his body, demolishing the building behind him.
Muzan's arms, torso, skull—all pierced and severed by dragon-head sword energy. Blood exposed to sunlight instantly vaporized to ash.
Finally, Kaido stopped his assault. Muzan couldn't resist the sun any longer. Combined with being carved into segments, he incinerated faster under solar radiation—turning to ash.
Everyone watched Muzan's disintegrating form. It felt surreal—yet undeniably real.
"We... we won. Muzan is dead..."
"WAAAAAAH! We did it! WE DEFEATED MUZAN!"
"MUZAN IS DEAD!"
Cheers and jubilant cries erupted. Everyone embraced, tears flowing freely.
For centuries, the Demon Slayer Corps had fought Muzan. Hundreds of years. And now—finally—he was destroyed.
Through the talisman, Kiriya witnessed everything. Tears of joy streamed down his face. But his body couldn't handle the strain—he nearly collapsed.
"Master!"
"I'm fine. Go... treat the wounded."
Meanwhile, Kaido's clone stationed at headquarters began turning transparent—his time was up.
"Dragon Hashira-sama!"
The clone smiled. "My mission's complete. It's time for me to go."
"Dragon Hashira-sama, thank you."
"Don't thank me. Thank the original if you want to thank someone."
He dissolved into mist.
Kiriya suddenly remembered something critical. "Quick—treat Kaido immediately!"
But dawn had arrived. Yushiro's talismans across the battlefield had already incinerated under sunlight, turning to ash.
Kiriya dispatched his crow urgently—transmitting emergency orders to the battlefield.
"You have to make it in time. Please!"
"CAW! Understood!"
━━━━━━━━
"The fight's not over. Stand up and treat everyone!"
"Use what time we have for rescue operations. Stop crying, you idiot! Pull yourself together!"
While everyone administered first aid to the wounded, Nezuko arrived at the battlefield—searching desperately for Tanjiro.
"Brother! Where are you??"
Tanjiro seemed to hear his sister calling. He and Kanao supported each other, moving toward the voice.
"Nezuko?? Thank god... you finally changed back. I'm so relieved!"
"BROTHER!" Nezuko sprinted forward, throwing her arms around both Tanjiro and Kanao, sobbing. "I'm sorry, Brother! You carried everything alone!"
"It's okay, Nezuko. It's all over now."
"Kanao-chan, thank you for staying with my brother!"
Hearing this, Kanao's face flushed bright red—unsure how to respond.
"Where's Kaido-niisan?"
"Kaido-san is over there. Let's go together."
"Yes!"
━━━━━━━━
Kaido's gaze swept across the scene, taking everything in. Sunlight stretched his shadow long across the ground.
Seeing them all alive, he smiled. "It's over... I can finally... go home..."
Kakushi rushed forward with stretchers and medical supplies. "Dragon Hashira-sama, please lie down—we'll treat you immediately. Dragon Hashira-sama?"
But Kaido didn't respond. His body couldn't hold out any longer. He collapsed straight backward.
The Kakushi caught him with lightning reflexes. Checking his breathing—it was barely perceptible. His pulse was dangerously slow.
"DRAGON HASHIRA-SAMA!"
