Chapter 18 - Tsana's Childhood Story.

The horse-drawn carriage arrived at a very busy city, which was much more lively compared to little Tsana's previous hometown.

This territory was the enemy kingdom that had destroyed Tsana's homeland.

The horse-drawn carriage was covered with a very thick cloth, so neither outsiders nor the children inside the carriage could see in or out.

Cayn had released his embrace of Tsana, but his hand still held Tsana's hand tightly, as if reluctant to let go. His eyes looked puffy, indicating that he had just cried.

He looked at the city in front of him, and his eyebrows furrowed. "Roswell City."

Tsana blinked. "You know this city?"

Cayn nodded. "Yes, when I was little, I stayed here for some time."

Tsana realized something from Cayn's words. If Cayn's age was not much different from Tsana's, and Cayn said he stayed here for some time when he was little, it means... Was this when Tsana and Cayn met?

But Tsana felt familiar with the name of this city. "Roswell City? Why is the name almost the same as Roswell Academy?"

"Because Roswell Academy originated from Roswell City."

Tsana frowned. "How come?"

"It's a long story, and it relates to the lineage of the Roswell Academy student who is on our journey."

Tsana guessed. "Rolan Gilbert?"

Cayn nodded. "Yes, you will soon know why, for hundreds of years, Roswell Academy has always been held by the Gilbert family, even now."

Tsana thought. "That means Theo, who is the current headmaster of Roswell, is also a descendant of the Gilbert family?"

Cayn nodded.

After that, the horse-drawn carriage carrying little Tsana and the other children went into a winding alley, and after several turns, they finally arrived at an old building, located on the very outskirts.

The building was like one that had been abandoned for a long time. Although large, its wood was rotten and looked almost collapsed.

The soldiers dragged little Tsana and the others to enter the building by force.

The small children's faltering steps were forced to walk by the muscular men whose bodies were much larger than theirs. So much so that occasionally someone almost fell, and it was often Tsana who fell.

Her small foot was mercilessly stomped on by one of the angry soldiers, causing a sickening cracking sound from her cracked bones, and making Tsana scream in pain.

"You troublesome slut! Get up and walk quickly." The soldier shouted.

Little Tsana tried to stand up again because she didn't want her foot to be stomped on again, and followed the line.

"I truly want to mince his body and turn him into livestock feed!" Cayn hissed, gritting his teeth.

His facial expression was very dark, and the aura around him was truly suffocating.

Tsana seemed to have felt an aura like this before, but she wasn't sure. She didn't say it to Cayn and just gently patted Cayn's hand that was still holding hers and said, "This is only a memory of my past, even if you release all your power here, nothing will happen to this place."

Finally, Cayn had no choice but to calm himself down.

They then followed the path of the children and the soldiers.

It turned out that at the very end inside this building, it connected to another building behind it. Only the entrance was not visible because it was covered by a long curtain.

When they entered the second building, they were immediately presented with the view of a quite large auction hall.

There were many chairs arranged very neatly in the middle of the hall, and in front of it, a stage stood sturdy.

No one had yet filled the empty chairs, indicating that the auction had not started.

They walked past the stage, and it turned out that behind the stage there were already many items or creatures that would be auctioned off.

There were magic weapons a very rare magic weapon, several monsters caged in iron cages, and also several slaves, just like little Tsana and the others.

The slaves also came from countries that lost the war.

They were all gathered in that room to be auctioned.

"Illegal auction," Cayn whispered, frowning.

Tsana pulled Cayn to return to the stage and sit there.

Since people could not see them, they could be anywhere they wanted. No one would reprimand or scold them.

Tsana hummed lightly, even after remembering her own childhood full of suffering. Tsana did not look sad at all. In fact, Cayn was the one who was more expressive, not Tsana.

"Why don't you look sad?" Cayn asked.

"Sad about what?" - Tsana.

"Remembering your childhood full of suffering?" - Cayn.

Tsana merely shrugged. "Perhaps because I've experienced much greater suffering from this curse for hundreds of years, so after remembering the past again, it feels like nothing compared to enduring this curse."

Cayn's eyes suddenly turned melancholic he looked at Tsana with a pained look. "I'm sorry."

Tsana turned to Cayn. "Why have you kept apologizing to me?"

"Because it's all my fault, all the suffering you've been through is my fault. I shouldn't have been selfish by asking you not to hate me when I've made such a big mistake in your life."

Tsana looked at Cayn, while Cayn lowered his gaze.

Silence suddenly fell between them.

From Cayn's eyes, Tsana could see sincerity in them, where the gaze was full of regret.

Then Tsana said in a gentle voice. "Didn't I promise you? That I won't hate you?"

Cayn looked at Tsana. "But-"

Suddenly Tsana pulled Cayn's hand to touch the curse mark on her stomach. "When I released Kylos, ten percent of the curse mark on my body disappeared. Maybe this is what the Dragon meant. If I let go of my past bonds, then my curse will also disappear. I am so grateful to you for bringing me this far and helping me let go of this suffering little by little ... Thank you Sir Cayn."

A gentle smile appeared on Cayn's face. "Thank goodness."

Then Tsana asked. "By the way, where is your mask, Sir Cayn?"

Cayn shook his head. "I don't know, when I woke up, I couldn't find the mask anywhere anymore."

Tsana stared intently into Cayn's eyes and frowned. "Isn't this strange, Sir Cayn? Why do I feel like your eyes have changed color?"

Cayn asked. "What do you mean?"

"Wasn't your eye color blue before?"

Cayn nodded.

"Then why is it gold now?"

"What?"
