You want to die? Fine, I'll grant your wish!
Zeng Bufan sneered, continuing his combo.
"I activate the effect of Cyber Dragon Nachster in my hand. By discarding one other monster, I can Special Summon it. I'll discard Cyberdark Chimera to Special Summon Cyber Dragon Nachster!"
"When Nachster is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon one monster with 2100 ATK or DEF from my GY. Chain 2—Cyberdark Chimera's effect activates, sending a 'Cyberdark' card from my Deck to the GY."
"Resolving backwards—Chain 2 sends Cyberdark Cannon to the GY; Chain 1, Nachster Special Summons Cyberdark Chimera from the GY!"
With that, Zeng Bufan smirked triumphantly. Just one more step and his "three-negate board" would be complete.
He didn't notice the strange look growing in You Ye's eyes as he watched.
"Now, I activate the Spell Machine Duplication, targeting Cyber Dragon Nachster! Since Nachster is treated as Cyber Dragon, I can Special Summon two copies of Cyber Dragon from my Deck in Attack Position!"
"Next, I overlay both Level 5 Cyber Dragons! I Xyz Summon Rank 5 Cyber Dragon Nova! Then I overlay again to upgrade—Rank-Up Xyz Summon Rank 6 Cyber Dragon Infinity!"
As he declared it, a massive mechanical dragon appeared—black and white wings spread like blades, its entire body radiating cold light.
Cyber Dragon Infinity
Machine / Xyz / Effect / LIGHT / Rank 6
ATK: 2700 DEF: 1600 (3 materials)
"I win!" Zeng Bufan declared, full of satisfaction as the crowd murmured.
The other young heirs from the Zhejiang clans exchanged uneasy looks. They weren't here to "support" Bufan—he'd challenged and beaten each of them the night before, forcing them to help keep Bai Yun'er and Ye Lingling from interfering.
And the monster that had caused them all so much trouble… was right in front of them now: Cyber Dragon Infinity.
It was terrifying—once per turn, omni-negate, plus the ability to absorb opposing monsters as materials.
Its protection was absurd.
Its board presence is oppressive.
And the fact that it could be summoned with just two cards—Nachster + Machine Duplication—was downright ridiculous.
But Bai Yun'er and Ye Lingling both stayed calm.
Yes, a three-negate setup was strong…
But they knew one thing for certain—it wouldn't be enough to beat You Ye.
"Keep going," You Ye said casually. "Don't waste time. If you stall any longer, the system will auto-rule this as my win."
"Hmph! I don't need you to remind me!" Bufan snapped, continuing his turn.
"I Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core! When it's Normal or Special Summoned, I can add a 'Cyber' Spell or Trap from my Deck to my hand. I'll add the Quick-Play Spell Cyberload Fusion!"
"Now I activate Cyberload Fusion! I return Cyber Dragon Core, Nachster, and Cyberdark Chimera from the field to the Deck to Fusion Summon—come forth, one of my Cyber Dragon end bosses!"
"Fusion Summon—Level 10 Cyber Eternity Dragon!"
A silver-white mechanical dragon coiled onto the field, its belly plated with golden armor, its core glowing with energy.
Cyber Eternity Dragon
Machine / Fusion / Effect / LIGHT / Level 10
ATK: 2800 DEF: 4000**
You Ye: "…"
He finally couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Alright, first off—you can eat recklessly, but don't talk nonsense. When you go brag later, you can say your build and strategy copied Luo Hao's—but don't say I gave it to you. I can't afford that embarrassment."
"This garbage combo structure and sequencing? Definitely not mine. And don't drag my business reputation through the mud."
Zeng Bufan: "???"
Everyone else: "???"
The entire crowd froze.
Especially Zeng Bufan—his brain blanked as he stared at his deck.
If this wasn't You Ye's deck… then where did their family get this so-called 'optimized build'?
"You're out of plays. Just end your turn already." You Ye sighed in disgust. "Honestly, you had me thinking you copied my build. What a waste of my brain cells. That was your entire board? A single negate? Pathetic."
If he couldn't break that, he might as well quit dueling and go bump his head on tofu.
"Hmph! Don't get cocky! You think you can get past my board with that broken Runick deck of yours? I know you only have one Hugin and one Runick Fountain! If I negate either, your deck's dead!" Bufan shot back, trying to recover his pride.
"Whatever," You Ye muttered, as Bufan finally ended his turn.
You Ye drew for his turn—no hesitation.
"Draw Phase, nothing. Main Phase One."
"I Normal Summon Naturia Camellia! On Summon, she sends one 'Naturia' card from Deck to GY. I'll send Naturia Mole Cricket."
Bufan didn't even flinch, smirking arrogantly.
"Next, I activate the Quick-Play Spell Naturia Spring Breeze! I can Special Summon a 'Naturia' monster from my hand or GY—I'll revive Naturia Mole Cricket!"
"I tribute Mole Cricket! Because you control the monster with the highest ATK, I can Special Summon two Level 4 or lower 'Naturia' monsters from my Deck!"
You Ye glanced at him again.
Bufan waved dismissively. "I don't care what you summon—as long as it's not Hugin or Fountain, I'm not negating it. Naturias? Please. Those weak little bugs can't touch my Cyber Dragon Infinity. Go ahead, play your trash deck."
He sounded exactly like Ye Lingling had the first time she underestimated You Ye's Naturia engine.
Which only made Bai Yun'er and Ye Lingling exchange a look of pity.
Letting You Ye's Naturia combo resolve freely…
That was suicide.
Once the board began to move, Naturia effects would start chaining in pairs, and each "tiny" monster represented a counter, a negate, or a lock piece.
And he'd just said, "Do what you want"?
They could only watch in awe and a bit of sympathy.
With a flick of You Ye's wrist, Camellia and Sunflower appeared together.
"Beautiful play…" Ye Lingling murmured, eyes shining with admiration.
Even Bai Yun'er looked at Zeng Bufan with pity.
To underestimate Naturia—after seeing what You Ye could do—was nothing short of suicidal.
Zeng Bufan frowned, catching the tone of their whispers. "What do you mean by that?"
He wasn't completely stupid—just a little slow. He knew Ye Lingling was on the verge of breaking into Earth-grade rank; if she was mocking him now, it couldn't mean anything good.
