Dahlia's POV
The moment Cobb spotted me, shock flickered across his features before transforming into icy contempt. His piercing stare locked onto mine, each word that followed laced with venom.
"Dahlia, you have some nerve showing up here. I never imagined you could be this brazen. All those years you played the innocent girl, claiming to love me with such devotion. And now look at you - the second we break up, you're warming Soren's sheets. Do your parents have any idea what their daughter has become?"
His mocking expression sliced through me, every syllable designed to wound. The man standing before me bore no resemblance to the Cobb I once cherished - the same person who used to hold my hand during thunderstorms, who promised me forever under the graduation tent. When had he transformed into someone capable of such cruelty?
A hollow laugh escaped my lips.
Perhaps I had been blind to his true nature all along.
