Stacy had come to visit Kurt. She still hadn't answered him about whether she wanted to become a Baroness and rule over some of the territory Kurt had taken on Earth.
"So, have you come to a decision?" said Kurt.
"There is something," said Stacy, "I didn't want to say in front of Jacob."
"And what's that?"
"Is this dependent on my relationship to Jacob?"
Kurt looked back at Stacy.
Stacy gave a little shocked face, "I don't mean to offend you, my lord. It's just that, I don't want to be in a position where that is a factor. I really do like Jacob, I just don't want to think I'd lose my position if anything."
"Listen," said Kurt, "I said you 'could' take him with you. As long as you do your job well it's yours. I wasn't planning on making Jacob your Baron actually. If anything you'd be his boss."
"Wait what?"
