"Special lottery draw, huh? I can't wait to see what that's about."
The system hadn't given much of an explanation about what this "special draw" entailed, so El had no idea what kind of prize he might receive.
But… given how extraordinary the system was, he knew one thing for sure—whatever it gave him wouldn't be ordinary!
Rocks: What Is Your Purpose in Becoming a Pirate?
"Would the host like to use the special lottery draw?"
"Confirm!"
"Ding! Congratulations, Host—You have received the complete skill inheritance of the Wind Release: Rasengan from the world of Naruto!"
"The Rasengan, huh? Not a weak ability at all."
The Rasengan was the technique created by the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, after studying the Tailed Beast Bomb. It had taken him three full years of research and experimentation to complete it.
It was a jutsu of tremendous power, unique in that it could evolve and grow stronger alongside its user—a truly fearsome technique!
Of course, El didn't need to spend years developing it or pushing its limits.
Thanks to the system's inheritance, he instantly mastered every variation of the Rasengan—
—with the exception of the Sage Art: Rasengan and other techniques requiring Sage Mode, since he hadn't yet unlocked that form.
Even so, the Rasengan techniques he had now were all at least A-rank jutsu.
A unique energy surged through El's body—this was the knowledge of how to use the Rasengan.
In the Naruto world, ninjutsu required chakra.
But since the One Piece world had no such thing, the system had cleverly converted "chakra" into physical stamina.
Truly considerate of it.
Within seconds, El had inherited all Rasengan-related jutsu.
And with that inheritance, his power had grown severalfold!
Immediately afterward, his system interface appeared before him.

He noticed a new "Ninjutsu" section added to the panel.
And since the Rasengan's power scaled directly with his own strength, there was no need to practice it.
The stronger El became, the more devastating his Rasengan would be.
Meanwhile, the progress needed to advance his Sage Body had increased from 1000 to 2000—something El found perfectly reasonable.
After all, the Rocks Pirates were the perfect place to hone himself.
Closing the status window, El glanced around. He had wanted to test his new Rasengan right away—
—but after thinking about the sheer destructive power of the technique, he decided against it. One blast would likely reduce this entire cabin to rubble.
So he dropped the idea.
If he wanted to reach the High Stage of the Sage Body faster, he'd need to train harder instead.
And so, El began his routine physical training right there in his room.
Time passed quickly, and night soon fell.
"Phew…"
After half a day of nonstop training, El was drenched in sweat from head to toe.
"Ding! Congratulations, Host—gained +2 Sage Body progress."
As always, the system's voice chimed in after he finished his workout.
Two points of progress—small, but every bit counted.
Besides, this wasn't just about the progress bar.
Training itself made him steadily stronger.
Afterward, he went to the private bath attached to his quarters and soaked in a hot bath.
He couldn't help but think—having an officer's cabin really was luxurious.
Only officers' rooms had private baths. Apprentices and regular crew members had to bathe in the communal area… or just jump into the sea.
When he finished, El lay down on his bed, ready to sleep—
—but then came a knock at the door.
Knock, knock!
"Who is it?"
"Lord El, Captain Rocks has requested your presence at the bow. He says he has something to discuss with you," came the respectful reply of a crewman outside.
"I understand."
El got up, dressed, and stepped out of his room.
After training all day and relaxing in the bath, he had completely forgotten that Rocks had told him that morning to meet him at the bow tonight.
Now reminded, curiosity stirred again in his mind.
What exactly did Rocks want to talk to him about?
He had only joined the crew that very day.
Yes, he had managed to wound the Golden Lion twice during their battle earlier—but everyone knew that Shiki hadn't gone all out. Those hits were more due to carelessness than parity in strength.
In the grand scale of the Rocks Pirates, El wasn't weak—but he was far from one of the strong ones.
And Rocks… the captain of the crew, the strongest man aboard.
Even the likes of the Golden Lion were a step below him.
For such a man to take an interest in him—and want to speak privately—was beyond surprising.
Following the crewman, El made his way to the deck.
The night sky stretched endlessly above, the moon hanging bright and round, casting silver light across the ship.
And at the very front of the deck stood a single massive figure—alone.
That figure was, of course, Rocks himself.
El hesitated for a moment, then started walking toward him.
Tap… tap… tap…
Each step echoed softly against the wooden deck.
Hands clasped behind his back, Rocks turned slightly, his sharp gaze falling on El.
"Captain Rocks, you wanted to see me?" El asked directly.
Rocks smiled faintly and didn't answer. Instead, he posed a question of his own.
"Tell me, El—what is your purpose in becoming a pirate?"
"My purpose… in becoming a pirate?"
The question caught El completely off guard.
He froze for a moment, unable to answer.
Because truth be told, when he first set out to sea, he hadn't even intended to become a pirate—or a marine, for that matter.
