At this point, the situation outside no longer allowed Kanna to provide psychological support to Dona.
She pushed off with her legs, darting to the entrance, shattering the already half-broken wooden box with a punch, and then pulled the greatsword out from within.
The Seaborn outside were stunned by Kanna's savage actions. The next second, they reacted, emitting piercing screeches in response to Kanna's movements, and then hundreds of various Seaborn rushed towards the cave where Kanna and Dona were.
Kanna swung her greatsword, and countless electric currents overflowed from her body, coiling around her skin. The next second, the greatsword emitted red and blue light.
"I say, Sister Dona, could you play a violin piece to lift my spirits?" As she spoke, Kanna swung the greatsword in her hand, easily slicing apart the charging Seaborn.
She pulled over half of a convulsing Flower Demon, whose upper body remained after being cut in half by the greatsword. Kanna unceremoniously dragged it along the red edge of the sword, making the entire Flower Demon tremble even more violently.
Kanna swallowed the half-cooked Flower Demon whole, under the terrified gazes of the Abyssal Cultists hiding in the shadows around her.
"Tsk! The taste of this roasted one isn't good; it's a bit too fishy. How about trying 'raw flower slices'?" With a casual swing, she cut a Rushing One attempting to burrow into the cave from the side into two pieces. Kanna looked at the Seaborn in the cave, her eyes once again turning into vertical pupils.
"I'm very sorry, but I have some bad news for you all. The only creatures not currently on my menu are humans, and you... are not human!"
At this moment, intermittent violin music came from the cave. Although it was even worse than before, to Kanna, it sounded very pleasant.
"Excellent! Eating a high-class seafood buffet just isn't right without some music!" Kanna snapped her hands apart, and the greatsword split into two long swords, one blue and one red, appearing before everyone.
"It's dining time!" Before her words finished, Kanna pushed off with her legs, rushing from one end of the cave to the other in an instant. The two differently colored weapons drew a beautiful streak of light in the darkness.
And all the Seaborn that light streak passed through were cut in half the next second.
Before they could react, Kanna had already rushed back to the mouth of the cave, catching a budding Flower Demon on the way.
Completely ignoring the Flower Demon's constant twitching in her hand, she opened her mouth wide and "chomped" down, biting off the entire head of the Flower Demon.
"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey! Raw flower slices don't taste as good as roasted ones!" Kanna, with a look of disgust, threw the remaining trunk in her hand to the ground, raised her eyes, and began to observe her surroundings again.
At this point, even the Seaborn were so terrified by Kanna's brutal behavior that they continuously retreated. You see, when fighting those Abyssal Hunters, even if they were shredded, at least their side was still the predator.
But facing this land-dwelling juvenile, their side became the prey before they even realized what was happening.
Realizing the shift in roles, the Seaborn began to look for ways to retreat. After all, while Seaborn do not fear death, such meaningless deaths that "increase" the opponent's strength were not part of the planned strategy.
However, Kanna had no intention of letting these Seaborn leave. After all, you invited me to your home for a meal, and then you say there's nothing to eat? How could Kanna be satisfied with that!
Ten minutes later, Kanna sat by the cave entrance, surrounded by a dense circle of Seaborn corpses. The few people who had brought them in, caught by Kanna, were thrown to the side.
Because Kal'tsit had said earlier that as long as not all of the opponents were dead, the spell would not end. She was happily eating a seafood buffet using the "Flame of Passion" as a grill, so how could she just leave so simply?
And this cave became a nightmare for the Seaborn. Seaborn continuously rushed in from other paths, only to be instantly killed without any message being passed on.
To the Seaborn, this cave had become a black hole area that only allowed entry, not exit.
After several attempts to send Seaborn in, all of whom went in and never returned, a jellyfish, accompanied by its kin, floated towards them.
Because Kanna's figure was constantly at the entrance, and Dona could clearly hear the wails of the dying Seaborn, her timidity gradually disappeared.
In her eyes, the small figure standing at the door was an towering giant, providing her with immense security.
Just as she was about to ask what to do next, Kanna, who had just finished a freshly roasted Odd Egg at the entrance, looked towards a passage.
The sensation emanating from that passage made her realize a big one had arrived.
"Dona, stay inside, don't come out!" Kanna raised her weapon and crouched, like a taut bow, ready to spring out at any moment.
Dona was about to speak when she suddenly found herself unable to utter a sound; only mysterious whispers echoed in her ears.
"The Great Silence"—a term all Iberians had heard of, which the younger generation called a legend—surfaced in Dona's mind.
She plucked at the violin in her hand, but still no sound came, as if she had gone deaf.
Terrified, she was about to go out, but then remembered what Kanna had just said, and she hesitated.
Meanwhile, outside, Kanna had also clashed with the "jellyfish."
Her red and blue twin blades mercilessly slashed at the exterior of the "jellyfish," which resembled a vast starry river.
Feeling pain, the "jellyfish" fiercely counterattacked Kanna, who was attacking it.
But it only had a huge body; its reaction speed simply couldn't keep up with Kanna at full power.
Even without the Thunderbolt Wedge, Kanna's speed at full burst was almost like teleportation.
Amidst a series of sonic booms masked by the "jellyfish," in less than ten seconds, the jellyfish was cut into dozens of pieces by Kanna, and it never even managed to utter a proper word.
"This thing looks quite pretty, but I wonder how it tastes!"
After the "jellyfish" died, the Seaborn that followed it also couldn't escape Kanna's assault.
Once she confirmed there were no more enemies, Kanna approached the "jellyfish" and, looking at the pile of corpses, stroked her chin thoughtfully.
At this moment, Dona, realizing that sounds were audible in her ears again, poked her head out from inside the cave.
Feeling the other party's gaze, Kanna looked over, and upon seeing it was Dona, she jumped over to her.
"You wait a bit longer, I'm going to fish here for a while. Look! I just took down a big one, but unfortunately, you can't eat this, so I'll have to enjoy it alone. Don't tell Kal'tsit I'm stingy when we go back, okay!"
Although Dona didn't understand what Kanna meant by "fishing," the scattered Seaborn corpses on the ground indicated that Kanna was a far more powerful and terrifying predator than the Seaborn.
