Chapter 21 - The Great Buddha Descends — Apex Buddha Manifestation

"Morax."

Standing beside the God of Geo, Jiang Yan suddenly spoke.

His tone this time was calm—far too calm—and instead of addressing him as Emperor, he called him by name.

"You and Azhdaha—take the Thousand Rock Army and pull back. Don't interfere."

There was a depth to Jiang Yan's gaze, a cold edge to his voice.

Even without divine perception, one could tell—he was angry.

Morax turned to look at him.

Even the two Demon Gods shifted their attention toward the youth.

"Heh—still so arrogant, boy? Even now?"

The Chi Dragon let out a hoarse laugh, while the God of Dreams covered her lips with a silvery giggle.

They were mocking him—mocking the ignorance of youth, the foolish pride of mortals who dared challenge gods.

"Jiang Yan?" Morax's tone was questioning, uncertain. He could feel something strange emanating from the young immortal.

Jiang Yan didn't look back at him. His gaze remained fixed on the two Demon Gods ahead—his face utterly expressionless.

That expression—so devoid of life, so resolute—was something even Morax had never seen before.

After a long pause, Morax seemed to come to a decision. He turned and withdrew from the battlefield.

He chose to trust Jiang Yan.

Raising his hands, Morax summoned a vast platform of stone that lifted the wounded Thousand Rock soldiers and carried them swiftly away from the battleground.

And as he left—

the field fell silent.

Jiang Yan stood atop the wooden golem's head, his eyes level with the two Demon Gods before him.

"God of Dreams. Chi Dragon."

His quiet voice echoed across the still plains of Dihua Prefecture.

"And you as well—those Demon Gods watching from the shadows."

His clear, unhurried words reached every ear.

"This... is my strongest technique. If you think you can withstand it—then come."

Jiang Yan pressed his palms together. Beneath him, the Wood Golem seated itself cross-legged, mirroring his gesture.

"Hah! I'll admit it, boy—you've got guts!"

The Chi Dragon's laughter boomed across the land.

The fact that Jiang Yan had dismissed Morax and chosen to face two gods alone... it stirred a flicker of admiration even within him.

He almost envied Morax—for having a subordinate this powerful, this fearless.

"My, my~ little brother," purred the God of Dreams, her voice dripping with charm. "How about joining my ranks instead? I can give you... anything you desire~"

Even she, despite herself, felt the urge to recruit this extraordinary youth.

To see such a prodigy fall here would be nothing short of wasteful.

Far away, Morax hovered in the air, silent, the battered Thousand Rock Army standing behind him.

"His elemental power... it's surging," rumbled Azhdaha in a low, grave voice.

Morax's expression hardened. Above the clouds, countless stone spears began to gather, and the stars themselves seemed to draw near, responding to the call of divine energy.

If anything happened to Jiang Yan—he would intervene in an instant.

But within the battlefield—

A storm of elemental power burst forth from Jiang Yan's body, flooding the sky with a blinding emerald light that pierced the heavens.

"Take this—!" he roared. "If you can survive, only then are you worthy to speak before me!"

He slammed his right palm down on the golem's head.

"Wood Release — True Several Thousand Hands!"

In that instant, half of his energy drained away in a single pulse—

and the earth itself began to quake.

The mountains split. Rivers burst from their beds. The ground cracked open, and from the heart of the land—

A colossal Buddha rose.

Nearly a thousand meters tall, it towered above the ruined forests of Dihua Prefecture, its sheer size dwarfing even the watching Demon Gods.

The once-seated Wood Golem now rested upon the Buddha's crown, like a serene guardian monk.

Behind the giant Buddha unfurled an enormous wheel of a thousand arms—a blinding halo of divine limbs stretching across the sky, dense and countless beyond measure.

To gaze upon it was to invite vertigo and terror.

"What... what kind of insane entrance is this?!"

For the first time, fear flickered across the Chi Dragon's eyes.

He had never imagined this boy could release such overwhelming power in an instant!

"What is this abomination?!"

Even the watching Demon Gods whispered in awe. The aura emanating from the Buddha made even gods feel a twinge of dread.

"Ara~ ara~... I think I'll be taking my leave," the God of Dreams said with a nervous smile, her tone airy but her body tense. "This seems like your fight, not mine."

But it was already too late.

A massive stone spear fell from behind them, slamming into the ground like a divine pillar—

cutting off their retreat.

Morax stood afar, eyes glowing with golden light, admiration flickering across his face as he watched the youth standing atop the giant Buddha's head.

"Well done, boy... you even managed to fool me."

Looks like he had found a new sparring partner—

no longer would he have to duel Azhdaha alone.

"Trying to flee now?"

"It's far too late for that!"

"I'm—furious!"

Jiang Yan's roar shook the sky.

Behind him, the wheel of a thousand arms began to spin.

"Buddha's Top Transformation!"

In an instant, countless colossal arms shot forth from the halo—

each fist blazing with divine might—

and together they descended like an avalanche from the heavens, a storm of fists crashing down upon the two Demon Gods below!
