Chapter 153 -  I Still Prefer You When You Were Arrogant and Unruly (Please Subscribe!)

"You are questioning the Lord?"

Abyss Baptizer spoke in a low, heavy voice.

"Who exactly are you?"

At that moment, the Lord of the Abyss suddenly spoke again—and his figure fully revealed itself.

A silhouette clad entirely in pitch-black armor stood atop the surging water pillars.

A decayed, decayed aura radiated from his body.

Coupled with the grotesque mask that looked as though it had crawled straight out of hell, one glance was enough to make the heart tremble.

"Heh. How did you discover me?"

Jiang Yan did not revert to his original form, still wearing the guise of an Abyss Lector as he spoke calmly.

Abyss Flame snapped his head around, disbelief flooding his eyes.

So the Violet Thunder standing before them… had really been an impersonation?!

The gazes of the surrounding Abyss Lectors—and even the Abyss Baptizers in the sky—turned cold as they locked onto Jiang Yan.

"You thought a few Abyss Stones to disguise your aura would be enough to deceive me?"

The Lord of the Abyss spoke indifferently.

"Everything in the Abyss was created by me. The moment the soul of the Abyss Lector called Violet Thunder was erased, I sensed it."

"I simply did not expect your courage to be so great—to come here alone."

Hearing this, Jiang Yan suddenly laughed.

Fair enough. A few stones were only ever enough to fool idiots like the Baptizers.

"Who are you, really?!"

When Abyss Flame heard that Violet Thunder's soul had been erased, the anger he had been suppressing finally erupted as he shouted at Jiang Yan.

He reached out to grab him—

But Jiang Yan's figure vanished in an instant.

In the next moment, Jiang Yan appeared directly in front of the Lord of the Abyss, the two staring at each other.

At the same time, the appearance of the Electro Abyss Lector faded away, revealing Jiang Yan's true form—silver hair and pointed ears.

The Lord of the Abyss let out a sigh.

"As expected… it is you."

"The Geo Nation. A retainer of the Geo Archon."

"Wood Spirit Immortal Lord."

The surrounding Abyss creatures froze in shock.

Abyss Flame, Frostfall, and even the Abyss Baptizers all widened their eyes.

"Wood Spirit Immortal Lord?!"

"It's actually you?!"

"How did you get here?!"

A chorus of shocked cries rang out.

Jiang Yan felt a little irritated and casually picked at his ear.

"So noisy."

His voice was calm, almost lazy.

Then, Jiang Yan raised his right hand and lightly snapped his fingers.

The six Infinity Stones embedded in the back of his hand lit up simultaneously.

A strange, unfathomable ripple swept across the entire Abyss City.

In the next instant—

Whether Abyss Mages, Abyss Lectors, or even Abyss Baptizers—

Some of them suddenly shrank their pupils, staring at their own hands in panic.

Under the horrified gazes of their companions, they turned into specks of ash and vanished into nothingness.

Using all six Infinity Stones at once placed an enormous burden on Jiang Yan's body.

But he possessed the Horse Talisman and the Dog Talisman.

He could snap his fingers endlessly.

After all—he couldn't die.

And besides, he still had Senzu Beans.

Even if he wanted to die, it wouldn't be easy.

"What did you do?!"

The Lord of the Abyss stared in disbelief.

With a mere snap of his fingers, Jiang Yan had erased half of the Abyss's population.

For the first time, the Lord of the Abyss lost his earlier composure.

"Tsk tsk tsk…"

"Didn't expect you to be pretty lucky, huh?"

Jiang Yan said with a cheerful grin.

And he wasn't wrong.

Jiang Yan had deliberately limited the snap's range to the Abyss, but the effect was completely random.

Who lived and who died—he himself couldn't control it.

Yet the Lord of the Abyss had survived.

That was luck, pure and simple.

"You…!"

The Lord of the Abyss was furious.

Tens of thousands of years of preparation—destroyed by a single snap.

"Oh? Oh?"

"Getting angry now?"

"Oh dear, I never thought someone like you could get angry too."

Jiang Yan stood with his hands in his pockets, a playful smile on his face—provocative to the extreme.

"But compared to how you look now…"

Jiang Yan leaned closer and closer.

"I still prefer you when you had that arrogant, untamed look earlier…"

"You're courting death!!!"

The Lord of the Abyss finally snapped.

Black mist erupted violently from his body as he charged at Jiang Yan.

This guy was way too infuriating!

After a brief moment of shock, the remaining Abyss Baptizers also rushed toward Jiang Yan.

"Hey, hey, hey—why so angry?"

Jiang Yan chuckled lightly.

The Space Stone flared, and a portal opened behind him.

In a flash, he vanished from the encirclement.

The next instant, Jiang Yan appeared high in the air.

Dual-Star State—Linked!

The Ox Talisman and the Power Stone flashed simultaneously.

Jiang Yan smiled faintly, his body taut like a fully drawn bowstring.

"Fifty percent output. Enhanced."

"Meteor."

This punch looked as though it would shatter space itself.

In an instant—

The fist's radiance obliterated the entire Abyss City.

Blinding seven-colored light illuminated the depths of the underground Abyss.

The black liquid on the ground boiled violently.

The cavern-like world shook uncontrollably.

At that moment, a surge of black energy erupted from the center of the light.

The fist's radiance shattered.

Dense mist surged upward, transforming into countless pitch-black blades that stabbed toward Jiang Yan.

Jiang Yan raised his right hand.

The Space Stone lit up.

The space around the mist was instantly frozen.

At the same time, Jiang Yan vanished once more—reappearing directly behind the Lord of the Abyss.

Seven-colored light surged.

Jiang Yan swung both arms and slammed them down onto the Lord of the Abyss's head.

Bang!!!

Under that strike, the Lord of the Abyss's head shattered like a smashed watermelon.

The surrounding Abyss creatures gasped in horror, then surged toward Jiang Yan in rage.

Even after a snap that erased half their numbers, the remaining Abyss creatures were still countless.

The Power Stone flared in Jiang Yan's hand.

He raised his arm and slammed it down toward the ground.

A shockwave infused with purple energy exploded outward.

The Abyss Mages didn't even have time to scream—their bodies detonated into black mist, dissipating into the void.

Abyss Lectors activated their shields, but under the impact of that single blow, they were smashed to the ground, unable to move.
