Chapter 14 - The Immortal Herbs Fusion

Lin Feng stood at the edge of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the powerful elemental forces surging around him. Xiao Wu guarded the perimeter, awed by the sheer spiritual density of the place. Lin Feng focused on the Immortal Herbs he had successfully harvested: the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, the Infernal Delicate Apricot, and the Ice and Fire Scarlet Dragon Fruit.

The first phase of the fusion was the most audacious: drawing energy directly from the well. Lin Feng used his Phoenix Fusion Flame in its purest, most controlled state. He directed the flame not as a weapon, but as a subtle siphon, targeting the point where the red and blue pools met, where the raw, balanced energy of elemental chaos was highest.

He had to work quickly, fearing that the disturbance would attract the ultimate guardian of the forest—the Titan Giant Ape or the Heaven Azure Bull Python.

He initiated the fusion formula within the IFS: Fusing the 'Core Balance Essence' of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with the 'Concept of Elemental Stability.'

A tiny, impossibly dense sphere of energy was slowly drawn out of the well. It vibrated with a perfect, primordial balance of absolute heat and absolute cold. This was the raw, foundational power of three hundred thousand years of elemental growth concentrated into a stable sphere. He quickly encased the sphere in a temporary, fused containment shell.

With the raw elemental power secured, Lin Feng moved on to the final fusion—the creation of his new soul ring source. He knew that simply fusing the herbs and the essence would be too volatile. He needed a perfect, stable medium.

His ultimate formula was complex: Fusing the three Immortal Herbs (each with their specific traits) with the 'Core Elemental Essence' and the 'Concept of Nature's Purity.'

The combined energy erupted inside the containment shell. The herbs completely disintegrated, their spiritual potential merging with the elemental power and the metaphysical concept. The spiritual potential of the herbs (estimated at over 100,000 years) combined with the vast elemental essence of the well, created a single, revolutionary source of power.

The result was a small, perfectly round, shimmering seed of violet-gold and elemental light. The system recognized it instantly: the 'Primordial Nature Soul.' This soul essence pulsed with a power far exceeding any single soul beast. It was stable, pure, and ready to be absorbed—a clean, massive leap in spiritual power.

The immense spiritual and elemental disruption caused by the fusion finally triggered a major reaction. Though the true guardians of the forest were still too far away, the raw energy of the well itself rebelled against the theft.

The elemental pools surged violently. A massive geyser of combined ice and fire erupted, a terrifying, beautiful pillar of destruction. Lin Feng, completely spent from the fusion, grabbed Xiao Wu. He used the last of his Soul Power to reinforce his Fusion Shadow Cloak and the Elemental Shield Talisman, turning their bodies into silent blurs.

He knew he had minutes before the forest's true inhabitants arrived to investigate the cataclysm. They fled the scene of their devastating creation, leaving the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in chaotic turmoil, but carrying with them the Primordial Nature Soul—the 300,000-year foundation for Lin Feng's second and third soul rings. The impossible was achieved; the only task left was the agonizing process of absorbing the double black rings that awaited him.
