Chapter 79 - Chapter 78: This Thing Is Much More Useful Than Ninjutsu

Inside the Kamui Dimension, Boruto sat cross-legged, his expression focused.

"Alright… let's try merging the Mangekyo with the Rinnegan," he murmured.

First, he stabilized the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan. His consciousness sank deep into a vortex of spiritual energy. Within that space, the unique patterns of the Mangekyo flickered vividly in his mind.

He refined and purified that power until it could harmoniously coexist with the Rinnegan. Only then could true fusion be achieved.

As Boruto's will grew sharper, his eyes began to change.

Within the deep purple rings of the Rinnegan, faint Tomoe patterns from the Sharingan started to emerge—resonating in perfect synchronization.

Boruto felt the changes immediately.

The power in his eyes now held both the Rinnegan's control over life and death and the Mangekyo's space-time mastery—Kamui.

"It worked…"

He slowly opened his eyes. A single Tomoe now rested in the center of his right Rinnegan.

"Only one Tomoe, huh? And just in the right eye. Makes sense—I only have one Mangekyo Sharingan," he muttered with a smirk.

But his curiosity didn't stop there.

"If the Mangekyo can fuse with the Rinnegan… then what about the Tenseigan?"

He closed his eyes again, concentrating on the Tenseigan's silver glow. Yet this time, he met resistance—an invisible wall blocking the fusion.

Boruto frowned, pushing harder. After several minutes of effort, he finally exhaled in frustration. "No… I can't do it yet."

After a short rest, he reflected on the failure.

The Mangekyo and Rinnegan shared a natural evolutionary link—the Rinnegan being the Mangekyo's final form. Their connection allowed fusion.

But the Tenseigan, though similar in power, lacked that same bond. That, he realized, was the key reason for the incompatibility.

Back in the Land of Fire, inside Katasuke's secret base, Boruto created over a dozen Shadow Clones.

Each clone released a barrage of Ninjutsu toward sealing scrolls spread across the ground.

As the Ninjutsu struck, the scrolls absorbed and stored the techniques one by one.

Boruto waved his hand, collecting the scrolls that had finished charging. Within minutes, hundreds of sealed scrolls were ready.

Katasuke watched in awe. "Young Master Boruto, you used so many Ninjutsu—do you still have Chakra left?"

Boruto chuckled. "Relax, Uncle Katasuke. I've got enough Chakra to last a lifetime. This much barely scratches the surface."

"Chakra ton?" Katasuke blinked, confused.

Boruto waved it off. "Never mind that. Is the gun ready?"

"It's done," Katasuke replied proudly, picking up two sleek, rifle-like weapons from his workbench.

"These are your designs brought to life—activators. Once Chakra is injected into the activator, it generates immense wind pressure to launch the sealed scrolls at high speed. This allows long-range Ninjutsu release."

Boruto examined the weapon with fascination. "Impressive. The times really have changed."

He loaded several Ninjutsu-sealed scrolls into the magazine, adjusted his stance, and pulled the trigger.

A faint blue flash streaked across the room—followed by a massive explosion as a Rasengan tore through the corner of the secret chamber, leaving behind a spiraling crater.

Boruto grinned wide. "Perfect! This is exactly what I wanted!"

Katasuke smiled, clearly pleased. "If it weren't for your idea, I wouldn't have been able to create these, Young Master."

He paused, then added more seriously, "But… these scrolls can only handle A-rank and below Ninjutsu. Sealing S-rank techniques still requires more research."

Boruto nodded. "That's fine. This is already a big step forward. We'll improve it over time."

He looked at the weapon again, deep in thought.

"These things are powerful," he murmured to himself, "but still not enough against the Ōtsutsuki. If I could seal large-scale physical Ninjutsu—like Hashirama's Wood Dragon or the God Gates—and fire them as bullets… now that would change everything."

Elsewhere, in another hidden base, Minato examined two of the same guns laid on a stone table.

"Uchiha Menma, what are these things?" he asked curiously.

"These are weapons," Boruto answered calmly.

"Weapons?" Minato turned the gun over in his hands, studying its craftsmanship and faint Chakra flow. "They certainly don't look like ordinary Ninja tools."

Tobirama leaned closer. "They're Ninja tools, right? For us to use?"

Boruto shook his head slightly. "I just want to test their power—to see how effective they are against strong opponents."

"Oh?" Madara smirked from the side. "How do these strange weapons work? I'd like to try one."

Boruto smiled. "Be my guest."

Soon, the group arrived at a deserted island.

Madara stood at the shore, holding the gun, while Tobirama, Hashirama, and Minato observed from a distance.

Boruto stood beside him. "Just inject Chakra and pull the trigger."

Madara raised an eyebrow. "That simple?"

He infused Chakra, then squeezed the trigger.

A sharp blast echoed as a scroll shot into the air—erupting in a massive Fire Release explosion that consumed half the beach in flames.

"That's… Ninjutsu!" Minato exclaimed. "The gun fired a scroll infused with Fire Release!"

Tobirama crossed his arms, analyzing. "The scroll must be pre-loaded with Ninjutsu. That's how it produced such destructive power."

Madara's lips curled into a grin. "Interesting. I like it."

Then, turning toward Hashirama and Mito—who were quietly watching hand-in-hand—he smirked darkly.

Without hesitation, Madara aimed the gun at them and pulled the trigger several times in a row.

Scrolls shot out in succession—each unleashing bursts of lightning, fire, and wind that surged toward the couple.

Hashirama didn't flinch. He clapped his hands together and summoned a colossal Wood Release wall that blocked every incoming attack.

When the smoke cleared, he lowered the barrier and frowned. "Madara! What the hell are you doing?"

Madara burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Come on, Hashirama! Admit it—this thing is way easier to use than Ninjutsu!"
