Chapter 87 - Chapter 86: Sarada’s Mangekyō Ability

"Master, Mistress said she's not coming… and that she'll never come again," Krab reported nervously, trembling before Boruto in his room.

Boruto didn't even look up. "Got it. You can go."

After Krab disappeared, Boruto sat in silence for a long while. His expression was unreadable.

"So Sarada's awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan already… and the pattern's a sun," he muttered. "What kind of ability could hers be?"

The next morning, deep in the forests of the Land of Fire, space rippled quietly—and Sarada emerged.

She looked around with a faint smile. "So this is Krab's Heavenly Spin ability… Spatial Ninjutsu really is convenient."

Without wasting a second, she started training.

Drawing several kunai, she infused them with her ocular power.

Under the influence of her Soul-Binding Eye Technique, the kunai moved like living things—floating and twisting through the air as if dancing, attacking and defending on her command.

Sarada focused intently, tracking each trajectory, feeling every subtle pulse of power. A satisfied smile crept onto her lips.

"This technique lets me fight more flexibly—and boosts my tactical range too."

Still, she wasn't satisfied. Her eyes sharpened.

Boruto easily defeated Shin Uchiha… If I really want to stand beside him, I have to become stronger.

Even after awakening the Mangekyō, she knew this was only the beginning of her climb.

She closed her eyes, then suddenly snapped them open.

"Susanoo!"

Red chakra erupted around her body. As her Mangekyō spun faster, a giant crimson ribcage formed, surrounding her.

"This is… the initial form of Susanoo?" she murmured, her voice steady. "Keep going."

The ribcage extended, forming a skeletal torso and skull. Sarada gritted her teeth and poured in more ocular power.

The skeletal frame gained muscle, then armor, until a towering upper-body Complete Body Susanoo stood before her—radiant and immense.

Sarada stood inside it, gazing up at the enormous figure of red energy.

Compared to her father's hundred-meter-tall Susanoo, hers was still small… but powerful nonetheless.

"Compared to Dad's… I still have a long way to go," she admitted softly.

But there was no discouragement—only determination.

She placed her hand over her left eye and whispered, "Heavenly Spin."

Immediately, her Mangekyō flared. The Susanoo's form shifted—its armor refined, its movements sharper. Sarada could feel the difference.

"This ability… It alters Susanoo's structure and reduces my chakra and ocular power consumption."

With another thought, two enormous red blades formed in Susanoo's hands.

"Let's test this."

The giant slashed.

The ground split apart.

Waves of searing energy tore through the forest, slicing down trees hundreds of meters away.

Sarada's eyes widened. "So this… this is Susanoo's power. Incredible."

But she wasn't done experimenting.

"If Heavenly Spin can reshape Susanoo's form and reduce chakra drain…" She smirked. "Then maybe it can go even further."

Her left Mangekyō rotated again, glowing faintly.

The Susanoo's upper body dissolved into streams of red light, which condensed before her into six massive crimson blades—pure chakra constructs shaped by Heavenly Spin's power.

"These blades retain Susanoo's destructive strength, but without weighing me down," she noted. "And with my Soul-Binding Eye Technique, I can control them freely from a distance."

The blades hovered around her, humming with power. Sarada's eyes gleamed.

"Boruto… next time we fight, I won't lose so easily."

Unbeknownst to her, a shadow stood watching from a nearby treetop.

Uchiha Itachi narrowed his eyes as he observed her.

"So… Sarada's here?" he murmured, puzzled.

He had been stationed near Boruto's secret base with Kabuto, and the sudden chakra outburst from Sarada's Susanoo had drawn him in.

When his gaze met her glowing eyes, he froze.

"That pattern… the Mangekyō Sharingan? Impossible. When did she awaken it?"

As he studied her, Sarada suddenly paused mid-motion. Her Mangekyō flared again.

She turned sharply toward the trees.

"Who's there?" she called out, voice alert.

"Tch. She sensed me?" Itachi thought, startled.

He was about to vanish with Body Flicker—but then noticed something strange.

His own Mangekyō Sharingan had activated on its own.

Sarada's right Mangekyō began spinning rapidly. Their eyes met through the foliage—and in that instant, she copied two legendary techniques directly from him.

"Tsukuyomi."

"Amaterasu."

Itachi's eyes widened. She copied my Mangekyō abilities… instantly?

Sarada's heart pounded. "That person… also has a Mangekyō? Could it be… Dad?"

Meanwhile, Itachi was utterly confused. "Why did my eyes activate by themselves? What's going on here?"

Before he could process it, Sarada burst forward like an arrow loosed from a bowstring, her chakra flaring violently.

Itachi flickered away at high speed. "Now's not the time to meet her."

Sarada's Sharingan tracked the movement. "So fast… that really was Dad, wasn't it? Why won't he just face me? Ugh—so annoying, Dad!"

Her eyes gleamed again. "Fine then. Let's see if this works."

With a sudden surge of chakra, she activated Heavenly Spin once more. Two massive red Susanoo wings formed behind her, blazing with light.

With one powerful flap, she launched herself into the air. Wind pressure exploded beneath her, tearing through the forest floor as she soared after him.

The speed was insane—even the air seemed to scream around her.

Watching from a distance, Itachi couldn't help but smirk faintly.

"So, she can even use Susanoo as wings… Impressive. As expected of my niece."
