"Clan Leader, this is our history… how can I—"
The old man's voice trembled. His hands shook, nearly dropping the scroll he held.
He knew all too well the Clan Leader's fiery temper—and the unbearable shame that tonight had brought upon the Uchiha Clan.
Still, as the historian, his duty was clear: to record the clan's history truthfully, both its glory and its disgrace.
"I said delete it!" Uchiha Ran's roar echoed through the hall, his Mangekyō Sharingan glowing with a fierce, crimson light.
The old man took a deep breath. He knew he might not walk away unharmed—but still, he stood his ground.
"Clan Leader, the wheel of history cannot be reversed," he said solemnly. "What we can do is learn from it… and move forward, for the future of the Uchiha Clan."
Ran froze for a moment. He hadn't expected such defiance from the frail old man.
"...Fine." He exhaled sharply, his tone softening slightly. "You don't have to delete it—then change it."
"Change it?" The historian frowned, confused.
"Yes," Ran said firmly, eyes cold and resolved. "Change it."
"Clan Leader… that's not right." The old man hesitated. "History should be honest—without deception. If we alter it, the truth of the Uchiha will vanish."
"The true Uchiha?" Ran's lips twisted into a sneer. "The true Uchiha are powerful, unyielding, never bullied by outsiders!"
"I will not allow tonight's humiliation to be passed down—to become a curse etched into our clan's legacy!"
"Even if it's disgraceful, we must face it!" the old man cried, his voice cracking. "We can't—"
"Enough." Ran's Sharingan glowed again, casting a red light that swallowed the man's eyes.
Within seconds, the historian collapsed, trapped in a Genjutsu and unconscious.
Ran turned to his clan members—those who had been forced to dance under Boruto's control. His face was as cold as steel.
"Listen carefully," he said darkly. "No one is to speak of what happened tonight. Anyone who does will be punished under clan law—without mercy."
"Yes, Clan Leader!" The voices echoed as one.
Every member lowered their head. The shame of this night was burned into their hearts; none would ever dare to speak of it.
As for the other Uchiha who had arrived later, they remained confused.
All they knew was that the clan grounds had been devastated—and that their leader had led some strange, inexplicable dance.
In the official record of the Uchiha Clan, this event was later rewritten as follows:
"That night, a star descended upon the clan lands.
The earth trembled, mountains shattered, and calamity befell the Uchiha.
Clan Leader Ran led the people in a sacred dance to calm the star's rage.
When peace was restored, one clan warrior—Unnamed—was lost to another world, never to return."
It was absurd and surreal, yet this tale was forever engraved in the annals of Uchiha history.
Dawn broke.
On a quiet cliff at the forest's edge, two figures stood side by side, watching the first rays of sunlight break over the horizon—Boruto Uzumaki and Uchiha Hikari.
The warm glow painted the cold world in soft gold.
"I can't believe it… I actually escaped," Hikari whispered, stretching her hand toward the rising sun.
Her voice was trembling, uncertain—caught between disbelief and relief.
She turned toward Boruto. He stood with his hands in his pockets, eyes calm and distant as he stared into the light.
"Yes," Boruto said quietly. "You're free now."
The sunlight spilled over them both, outlining their faces in gold.
"Freedom…" Hikari murmured, lowering her gaze shyly, a faint blush coloring her dirt-streaked cheeks.
Boruto smiled softly, then turned away again. A gentle breeze brushed past, rustling their hair.
Then, Boruto suddenly frowned. Something felt wrong.
Tiny motes of light began to flicker on his skin—his body fading between solid and translucent.
"What the…? The world's rejecting me?" he muttered. "Then… this isn't a parallel world. I really did travel to the past?"
Countless thoughts and questions raced through his mind.
"Leaving? You're leaving?" Hikari's voice trembled, panic rising as she saw his form begin to blur.
"Yeah…" Boruto nodded. "This world's rejecting me. I'm being pulled back—to my own."
"Your own world?" she repeated, confused.
"I don't know how to explain it," he said softly. "But you're free now. So live well…"
Before he could finish, Hikari stepped forward, pressing her forehead gently against his chest.
"Why…?" she whispered, her voice breaking. "Why would you do so much for someone like me?"
Tears welled in her eyes as her voice shook.
"I've always been alone… trapped in the dark… everyone treated me like I wasn't even human. I thought no one would ever care… that I was just a tool—something to be used and discarded."
Her hands clenched against his chest.
"But you… you saved me. You gave me freedom. You helped me find myself again. And I—" her breath hitched, "I don't even know your name."
She looked up at him, eyes shining through her tears, desperate to memorize his face.
By now, the light around Boruto was blinding. His body had turned nearly transparent.
"No!" she cried out. "Don't go!"
Hikari grabbed for his arm, but her hand passed right through him. Her tears fell like rain, hitting the ground with soft splashes.
"My name…" Boruto smiled bitterly. "Boruto Uzumaki."
"Boruto…" she choked, unable to hold back her sobs. "Don't go! Please! Don't leave me alone!"
Her cries tore through the air—but Boruto's form dissolved completely, fading into golden light until nothing remained.
Only the faint shimmer of his presence lingered in the air, then disappeared as if it had never existed.
Hikari fell to her knees, staring at the empty space before her. Tears streamed down her face, unstoppable.
Night came again.
The stars hung silently above as Hikari knelt beneath them, her figure small and lonely beneath the moonlight.
Slowly, she wiped her tears. Her expression hardened. Her scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan glowed in the darkness.
"I'll find you, Boruto," she whispered. "No matter where you are."
"Love can transcend dimensions, time, and space."
