Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Shoo!"

A sharp shout cut through the crisp morning air, sending a group of children on the Amamiya Clan's training field into motion, sweat already dripping down their faces.

It had been a month since Raizen awakened the system. In that short span, he had grown faster than anyone could expect. Kunai throwing, the Three Body Technique, and basic genjutsu dispelling — all now under his control. The body he had inherited wasn't a blank slate anymore; the novice who had stumbled cluelessly through training was gone.

"This is your last day of practice," Uncle Yamamoto said, his voice carrying both authority and a faint trace of sorrow. "Tomorrow, you join the family's battle. Show your strength for the clan!"

The children stiffened at the weight of his words. The thought of war at their age was chilling. A month ago, when the Uchiha Clan had come to mediate, the Amamiya had secured a tenuous alliance. The Uchiha helped repel the Ueshi Clan, and in return, the Amamiya promised to assist the Uchiha when called.

At first glance, it seemed fair. But in the short month since, the Amamiya Clan had been dragged into chaos. The Ueshi had been secretly bolstered by the Hyuga Clan, and the ensuing skirmishes escalated into open war between the Uchiha and Hyuga. Suddenly, the Amamiya were caught in a deadly crossfire.

Raizen clenched his fists. War… finally. Let's see if this system lives up to the hype.

Because the clan had suffered heavy losses, even the children were no longer spared. Anyone capable of channeling chakra could be drafted. At just five years old, Raizen was now a battlefield participant.

This is ridiculous… but fine. I've got the Super Achievement System. Battlefield = free training ground. Let's go.

"Set!"

With a booming shout, Amamiya Gen sent the clan into motion. Today, the Amamiya would dispatch ninjas to support the Uchiha in a critical clash against the Hyuga. Allies of the Uchiha contributed troops wherever needed — and Amamiya was no exception.

"There are fewer and fewer ninja in the clan…" Gen muttered, surveying the assembled fighters. Between fending off the Ueshi, fulfilling obligations to other clans, and supporting the Uchiha, the Amamiya were stretched perilously thin. Gen only hoped this war would end quickly, sparing his family further suffering.

"Amamiya Kiyomasa, Amamiya Rei, Amamiya Left Wing, Amamiya Nana, Amamiya Raizen — you five go to the Uchiha estate and support the battle!"

Two of the five were seasoned Jōnin, capable of holding their own. One was a Chūnin, another a Genin with battlefield experience. And then there was Raizen — new to the horrors of war.

"Sending two Jōnin at once…" Raizen frowned. The clan was giving their strongest to the battlefield. With multiple allied families doing the same, the Uchiha could amass more Jōnin than most clans even had in total.

Over two dozen Jōnin… that's insane. And here I am, just a kid with a system.

"Okay! Let's move!"

Amamiya Kiyomasa led the group toward the forest path to the Uchiha estate. Seeing Raizen, he shook his head.

"The new generation shouldn't be on the front lines yet," Kiyomasa said, his voice heavy with worry. These children were the foundation of the family's future, yet circumstances forced them to fight prematurely.

Raizen's pulse quickened. First time out of the compound… first real taste of the world… this is going to be fun.

He activated the system. The first achievement awaited: First Kill. A golden treasure chest would appear once claimed. Its contents were unknown, but Raizen's imagination ran wild.

Let's see what kind of goodies this baby holds…

His excitement, however, quickly dissipated. The forest ahead wasn't empty.

"Stab!"

A sharp tearing sound sliced the air. Reflexively, Raizen leapt skyward. Three kunai whistled toward him from different angles. Had he not jumped, he would have been dead before even reaching the Uchiha estate.

"Enemy attack!"

Amamiya Kiyomasa, the family's Jōnin, barked orders as the other ninjas dispersed behind trees, weapons at the ready. The battle was about to ignite, and Raizen's first taste of true combat was just beginning.
