Chapter 64 - Encountering Tang Hao Again

At night, just as Chu Bai returned to his room, he saw Yue Guan and Gui Mei suddenly appear inside.

"Holy Son, we came to tell you something," Yue Guan said.

"Oh? What is it?" Chu Bai asked curiously.

"Just now, in Soto City, we discovered a group of people. One of them clearly possesses the strength of a Titled Douluo. I estimate that person is someone you know — the Seventh Elder of the Clear Sky Sect."

"The Clear Sky Sect, huh?" Chu Bai's interest was piqued. "Have they discovered Tang Hao's whereabouts?"

"It should be so. Holy Son, should we follow and take a look?"

"Yes, this is a perfect chance to deal with Tang Hao," Gui Mei added.

Chu Bai thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, let's go join the fun. I just so happen to have prepared a surprise for Tang Hao. I believe he'll definitely love it."

With that, the three of them left the inn.

By this time, it was already deep into the night.

A sneaky figure quietly approached Chu Bai's door. Under the dim light, it was easy to recognize her — Ning Rongrong.

She looked around cautiously, confirming that no one was nearby. Then, as if making up her mind about something, she reached for Chu Bai's door handle — but just as her hand touched it, she suddenly felt another hand there as well…

Under the faint glow, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing both lifted their heads —

—and awkwardly locked eyes.

"…"

At that moment, both immediately understood why the other was there.

As if electrocuted, they quickly pulled their hands back and hurriedly ran to their respective rooms.

Once behind closed doors, both could feel their rapid heartbeats and burning cheeks…

"So Zhuqing likes Chu Bai too!" Ning Rongrong thought, feeling a strong sense of crisis. But then she froze. "Wait, why did I run away? What if Zhuqing turns back now — wouldn't she get ahead of me?!"

"I've been here before," Yue Guan said as they arrived in a remote area. "His Majesty once sent me to Saint Spirit Village to investigate Tang San and Tang Hao."

"Tang Hao would hide here?" Gui Mei asked skeptically.

"Back then, that hundred-thousand-year soul beast named Ah Yin sacrificed herself for Tang Hao and left behind a seed. Tang Hao must have planted that seed nearby, which is why he usually hides around this area," Chu Bai explained.

"Hah, what a lovesick fool," Gui Mei chuckled. "I've seen people plant flowers and trees — but this is the first time I've seen someone plant his wife."

"But it seems Tang Hao won't get the chance anymore," Yue Guan said with a shake of his head. "Even if he could somehow grow her again, it would take centuries. With a Titled Douluo's lifespan, he'd be long dead by then."

"Then I'll help him by pulling her out," Chu Bai said with a faint smile.

"…"

Yue Guan and Gui Mei exchanged strange looks.

Could it be that their Holy Son had some kind of… peculiar hobby?

But when they thought about it being Tang Hao's wife, they immediately felt relieved — well, that was twisted enough to make sense.

"If Ah Yin knew that Tang Hao was such a despicable man, would she still love him?" Chu Bai wondered silently.

He firmly believed that Tang Hao and Ah Yin's son's soul had been taken over by the current Tang San. That was the only way to explain why Tang San possessed the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline.

The body remained, but the soul had changed.

"If the soul's gone, how could he still be her son? It's just that Ah Yin doesn't know that," Chu Bai said with a smirk. "Honestly, I even suspect the original Tang San was killed by the shockwaves when Tang Hao fought Qian Xunji…"

Soon, Chu Bai and his companions arrived at a fairly secluded area. From ahead came waves of energy fluctuation. Following them, they saw two figures confronting each other in the sky.

"Tang Hao! Finally found you!"

The Seventh Elder gripped his Clear Sky Hammer and spoke coldly. The soul power within him surged violently, as if he might strike at any moment.

"Seventh Elder? You're here? I didn't expect that after so many years, you'd have also become a Titled Douluo."

Seeing someone from the Clear Sky Sect again, Tang Hao was genuinely surprised and happy. The Seventh Elder's advancement meant that the sect had grown stronger.

"Heh, this guy's definitely the sect's loyal dog," Chu Bai muttered speechlessly.

"Tang Hao, we heard the Spirit Hall made a move against you," the Seventh Elder suddenly said.

Tang Hao froze for a moment, then as if realizing something, asked eagerly, "Could it be that the Clear Sky Sect came to help me? Seventh Elder, the Spirit Hall's despicable actions against my son… but how did you even learn of this? Has the sect returned to the world?"

The more he spoke, the more emotional he became.

That meant… the sect still cared about him!

Chu Bai: "…"

Watching from a distance, Chu Bai was at a loss for words.

Hearing Tang Hao's confirmation, the Seventh Elder dropped his pretense. "Tang Hao, you've got some nerve saying that! Do you even know what kind of disaster you've caused the Clear Sky Sect?!"

Tang Hao was dumbfounded by the sudden change in tone.

"Seventh Elder, it's true that I wronged the sect back then," Tang Hao said solemnly, "but if I were given another chance, I'd still do the same."

"Back then? Who said I was talking about back then?" the Seventh Elder snapped. "If you hadn't injured Bibi Dong's disciple, would she have brought a group of Titled Douluo to our gates?!"

"What?!"

Tang Hao was stunned. "Bibi Dong went to the Clear Sky Sect?"

"Damn Spirit Hall," Tang Hao roared, his anger rising. "If they have a grudge, they should come at me! I've already left the sect — why torment the Clear Sky Sect?!"

Not far away, Chu Bai shook his head. "I shouldn't have come. Am I just watching a clown's show?"

"But since we're already here, I might as well take Ah Yin away," he said with a faint smile. "The system rewarded me with the Water of Forgetfulness — it's perfect for her. Following someone like Tang Hao is pure suffering."

Indeed, Chu Bai already had a plan.

The Water of Forgetfulness would make Ah Yin lose her memories. When Tang Hao discovered she no longer remembered him — what kind of expression would he have? Maybe he'd even kill himself out of despair.

"Elders, there's no need for you to take action this time," Chu Bai said calmly. "Leave this to me."

As his words fell, his figure vanished into the night.

Using the darkness as cover, he swiftly approached Tang Hao and the others.
