Konoha Gymnasium, on the roof of the observation tower.
"Marry into all the families to create the strongest clan? That's a pretty good idea!"
After listening to Tsunade's words, Hashirama rubbed his chin seriously, then nodded in agreement.
"As long as this clan is large enough, has enough people, and unites all forces on the same front, this really does seem like a path to peace! In this way, everyone becomes relatives. Honestly, it sounds better than just integrating clansmen into the civilian population."
Tobirama's face darkened with black lines. "What do you think my descendant is? A stud horse?"
"If we really rely on Itsuki alone to expand the clan, his future will be ruined. How can a man who only knows how to throw himself at women bring peace to the ninja world?"
Mito raised her eyebrows. "What's wrong with throwing yourself at women? Do you look down on women? Personally, I think Tsunade's suggestion is good. Compared to you guys talking about fighting and killing all the time, I'd rather Itsuki live a stable and comfortable life."
"Hmmmmm!" Hashirama nodded repeatedly, smiling. "Tobirama has a point, Mito has a point, both of you have a point. Why not just—"
"Shut up!!" Tobirama and Mito roared in unison.
Hashirama immediately shrank into a corner, squatting down with a depressed face as he drew circles on the ground.
The sight left Jiraiya and the others dumbfounded.
Is this really the legendary God of Shinobi, the First Hokage? Why does he look so stupid—and with no dignity at all?!
The mysterious aura Hashirama once had in their minds collapsed instantly.
"By the way, is he Itsuki from my grandfather's lineage?" Nawaki asked curiously, looking at Itsuki.
They had met before on the competition field, but at the time, Nawaki hadn't paid much attention to him.
"I didn't expect Tsunade to make such an arrangement for Itsuki. Honestly, it makes me…" Jiraiya sighed heavily.
So enviable!
Why isn't it me? Why can't I be Itsuki?!
He also wanted to lie in Tsunade's arms, feel her broad chest, and have her arrange a marriage plan for him to unite all the families.
Nawaki nodded in agreement. "I really sympathize with him. My nephew is so pitiful. He doesn't look any older than me, yet he has to bear the fate of the whole clan and marry countless women!"
"Luckily, my sister never had such thoughts when I was alive. Just thinking about it makes me shudder. Poor kid. As his uncle, I can only pray for him. Hopefully, he won't get eaten alive by those tigresses!"
Jiraiya looked at Nawaki as if he were an idiot.
Does this guy even know what he's talking about? Eaten alive by tigresses? And that's a problem why?! You're still too damn young!
Fortunately, the Senju clan hadn't relied on Nawaki to expand, otherwise Tsunade's wish would have been unfulfilled long ago.
Jiraiya patted Nawaki's shoulder, his face full of regret and sympathy.
Nawaki only tilted his head in confusion. Did I say something wrong?
"I've already made up my mind!" Tsunade didn't care about the others. She pinched Itsuki's cheek with a teasing smile.
"With Itsuki's looks and talent, it would be a crime not to use him for marriage. He doesn't even need to chase women. He only has to beckon, and they'll all throw themselves at him. Don't you agree, my lovely little Itsuki?"
This was the designated leader of the Itsuki harem chat group, and without even asking him, she had already planned a harem for Itsuki.
Tsunade believed her idea was not only correct but fate itself.
"Aunt, can you please let me go first?" Itsuki's face turned black.
Of course he liked beautiful women. And yes, if conditions allowed, he would like to marry more.
But shouldn't she at least discuss it with him before making such decisions? And in front of so many people? What about his dignity?!
"Itsuki's shy!" Tsunade grinned mischievously, clearly enjoying herself.
"Don't worry, Auntie has already found several for you, and you're sure to like them. Your most important task now is to grow up strong, take care of your health, and marry them as soon as possible."
Because her loved ones were around, Tsunade seemed far more cheerful and relaxed than usual.
Although the matter involved the future of the village—and even peace among the ninja villages—for now, it was still just an idea. Even if it was useful, any unexpected turn could throw it completely off course.
Hashirama and the others had witnessed such things countless times.
As long as it didn't violate core principles, it was worth putting into practice.
And since Tsunade had already declared she'd found partners for Itsuki, the others stopped objecting. Even Tobirama fell silent.
"You decide. Grandma supports you," Mito said with a wink at Itsuki, teasing him.
Boys this age are always shy when it comes to matters of men and women. That's what makes it so fun.
"That's perfect." Tobirama's eyes flashed, and he spoke seriously. "Then it's decided. Tsunade will be the next Hokage. She will train Itsuki and pave the way for him. When he grows up, he will succeed her as the Sixth Hokage."
"Huh?" Hashirama froze for a moment, then clapped his fists together excitedly. "That's a great idea! But… wait, is Tsunade still gambling?"
As he said the last part, he shrank back, insecure again, worried Tsunade would impulsively gamble away the entire village.
"What? My sister is going to be Hokage?" Nawaki's eyes widened instantly.
"Tsunade to be Hokage?" Jiraiya also gasped.
Everyone nearby was equally shocked.
Why suddenly change Hokage? Wasn't the Third Hokage still doing fine?
"What?!" Tsunade's eyes widened as she shouted instinctively. "No way! I don't agree! Have you even asked me if I want to be Hokage?"
Her grandfather and granduncle had both become Hokage—and both had died for the village.
Her younger brother Nawaki had dreamed of becoming Hokage—and he had died too.
Only a fool would want that cursed position!
Even though Tsunade had moved past her emotional scars, she still resisted the very idea of becoming Hokage.
"It's not a matter of whether you want it or not."
Tobirama's voice grew heavy. "For Hokage, there are only suitable and unsuitable people. And right now, I see no one more suitable than you."
"The path you envision for Itsuki is for the stability of Konoha and peace across the ninja world. If you truly want to achieve that, then Itsuki must eventually become Hokage. And you are the most suitable person to guide him."
"On this point, I agree with Tobirama," Mito added firmly. "I know becoming Hokage will bring you immense pressure. But even if it's just to make Itsuki's future path smoother, you have to do it."
"Tsunade, you don't want more conspiracies or schemes falling on Itsuki, do you? Only by becoming Hokage and holding the reins of power can you protect him completely."
It was obvious to everyone that Tsunade doted on Itsuki more than anyone else.
The moment she had arrived, she hadn't even greeted her grandparents whom she hadn't seen for decades—her first action was to find Itsuki.
Using him as a reason to persuade her was more effective than any argument.
Sure enough, after hearing Mito's words, Tsunade fell silent.
She turned her head, looking at Itsuki with hesitation in her eyes.
Itsuki gently held her hand. "Aunt, you don't have to worry about me. As long as you don't want to, no one can force you."
"Okay! Then I'll take the Hokage's mantle!" Tsunade declared without hesitation.
Itsuki's words didn't weaken her resolve—they strengthened it.
How could she not do everything to protect the boy who cared so deeply for her?
