Chapter 58 - Chapter 57: The Magic Power Is Finally Exhausted!

Someone among the senior students shouted angrily, "Who the hell said Song Jie couldn't complete a one-versus-two-hundred challenge?!"

Those who had previously doubted him fell silent.

Who could have imagined that Song Jie was this powerful?

He actually managed to defeat two hundred people!

"No way! Do we have to give him our senior students' resources too?" one senior complained, his face darkening.

They still needed those resources to break through to the Intermediate level!

Some of the older students had already failed their exams once—if they couldn't reach the Intermediate level after three years, they might be forced to drop out.

Being expelled would be utterly humiliating!

"Why should the freshmen's problems affect us seniors? This is unfair!"

"That's right! We seniors didn't even participate. What does it have to do with us?"

"Not fair! Not fair!"

The crowd of senior students erupted in protest.

Dean Xiao stepped out onto the stage, his expression calm. "This arrangement was discussed between your department dean and Song Jie. If you think it's unfair, take it up with your department dean."

"What?!"

The seniors looked at each other in disbelief.

So it was their own department dean who agreed to such an outrageous condition?!

Among the teachers, Old Man Deng and several others who had been part of the discussion quietly covered their faces, too embarrassed to meet their students' eyes.

With things at this point, Song Jie faced no more obstacles—he would have no trouble completing the one-versus-two-hundred challenge.

Many students had already approached the teachers, complaining angrily.

Old Deng's face turned pale; he didn't know how to respond.

"Alright, that's enough for now," Old Deng finally said. "We'll give you all an explanation later."

Seeing this, the senior students reluctantly dispersed.

Standing at the back, Jiang Yunming couldn't help but laugh to himself. Seeing this scene filled him with joy.

He hadn't expected Song Jie to achieve such a record—the Summoning Department had truly found a hidden treasure!

After dealing with Ding Yumian, Song Jie turned toward the passage and asked, "Why is no one coming out?"

The students inside the passage didn't dare move. They'd already been terrified by Song Jie's overwhelming display of strength.

With such terrifying combat power, how could they possibly be his opponents?

"There are thousands of freshmen here, and not a single one dares to step forward? Are all of you trash?" Song Jie taunted.

The moment those words left his mouth, the entire hall went into an uproar!

They clenched their fists so tightly their knuckles turned white.

Trash?!

They had stood out from millions of candidates across the country to be admitted to Pearl Institute!

They were the elite among elites!

And yet Song Jie had just called them trash!

"Damn it! Even if I'm injured, I'll still go up there and fight him!" one furious student shouted.

The humiliation was unbearable.

His words ignited the fighting spirit of everyone present. Glares full of anger and defiance locked onto Song Jie.

Seeing their reactions, Song Jie nodded in satisfaction. Good—he'd been worried they wouldn't dare to challenge him.

After all, he still needed his full two hundred challengers.

"Teacher, I'm going up!"

"Teacher, me too!"

"Damn, I can't take it anymore—let me go first!!"

The teachers exchanged glances and finally selected four students from the front.

Within a minute, all four were defeated.

Song Jie had officially completed his one-versus-two-hundred challenge!

From the audience, Mu Nujiao's face lit up with delight.

"I never thought Song Jie could actually do it," she said softly.

Mu Lei nodded beside her. "I thought defeating one hundred was his limit. I didn't expect him to take down two hundred!"

Someone in the crowd suddenly exclaimed, "Look! The dean's coming out again!"

Everyone turned their attention back to the podium.

"First of all, congratulations to Song Jie for completing a one-versus-two-hundred challenge and setting a new school record!" Dean Xiao's voice echoed through Qingdou Hall.

But many students were seething with resentment.

They were furious!

Dean Xiao looked down at Song Jie. "Student Song Jie, do you wish to continue your challenge?"

It was a way of giving Song Jie an honorable exit—his record was already legendary. There was no need to push further.

However, Song Jie calmly replied, "Dean Xiao, I still want to claim the magic tool that Professor Deng promised me."

The hall exploded.

"He's going to challenge two hundred and fifty?!"

"Does he still have a trump card left?!"

Dean Xiao's eyes widened. He had thought that one hundred opponents would be Song Jie's limit—two hundred had already exceeded all expectations.

But since Song Jie insisted, Dean Xiao wouldn't stop him.

"Then continue!" Dean Xiao said, stepping back.

All eyes once again fixed on Song Jie.

One versus two hundred and fifty!

Everyone knew that Song Jie had already consumed a tremendous amount of magic power.

How much longer could he possibly last?

"Hurry up and go! Don't let him recover his magic energy!" someone shouted.

The others quickly selected four more challengers, who rushed into the arena.

After another twenty quick victories, Song Jie's magic was visibly fading.

"His magic's almost gone! He can't hold on any longer!"

"Hahaha! Now let's see how you handle two hundred and fifty!"

"Even the gods have limits—your time's up, Song Jie!"

The crowd roared with excitement.

They could finally see a chance to reclaim their pride.

"Teacher, let's go four at a time!" one student urged eagerly.

Another laughed, "After he beats us, we'll pretend he can't go on anymore—give him a taste of his own medicine!"

"Good idea!"

"Agreed!"

Laughter and anticipation filled the hall. After being humiliated for so long, they were ready to vent their frustration.

Soon, four more students stepped onto the stage, facing Song Jie from across the arena.

One of them sneered, "Song Jie, your record ends here."

"Oh? Really?" Song Jie asked calmly.

"You're about to collapse, yet you're still pretending to be calm!" the male student spat, rage in his voice.

This guy had taken their resources—how could he not hate him?

"Everyone, together!!"

As soon as he spoke, the four of them began constructing their Star Tracks simultaneously.

But before they could finish—

Song Jie had already completed his Summoning Star Track!

A crack appeared in the air before them, leading into a dimensional space.

"What?! Isn't his summoned beast already dead? Does he still want to summon it again? Is Song Jie even human?" someone shouted in disbelief.

"He's more of a bloodsucker than a capitalist!!" Huang Xingli fumed.

She had liked Song Jie's little summoned beast, but to think it had such a merciless master!

Ding Yumian said nothing. Her eyes were fixed on the dimensional rift, an uneasy feeling tightening in her chest.

Moments later, a deafening eagle's cry pierced the sky.

From within the dimensional space, a swift shadow burst out—its wings slicing through the air!
