In Speed World 2, following the original anime's timeline, from the end of the Dark Signer arc onward, the Turbo Duel Field Spell was completely upgraded, replacing the original "Speed World" with "Speed World 2".
After entering Speed World 2, Turbo Duelists are no longer knocked down from their Speed Counters when taking damage, and Speed Counters are no longer only used as the cost to activate Speed Spells.
Speed World 2 itself also introduces a few unique effects that can be triggered by removing Speed Counters, making the Field Spell much more influential during Turbo Duels.
Naturally, for Kira, this made fighting on "away turf" even more disadvantageous.
After all, when he played the physical cards, he'd never played under Speed World rules. Konami barely ever implemented this anime-exclusive Turbo Duel mechanic in their Yu-Gi-Oh video games. So, in terms of understanding and utilizing Speed World, Speed Counters, and Speed Spells, he was almost certainly no match for the locals.
Previously, Kira had thought about trying to adapt to Turbo Duels if necessary.
But now, since he was in charge, he was determined to take full advantage.
If I can make it my home field, why would I choose to fight away from home?
So Kira simply waved his hand, declaring that his Turbo Duels wouldn't bother with such flashy rules. "We'll just ride bikes and play regular duels; that's it."
In the 5D's manga, Turbo Duels followed traditional rules anyway, and it never seemed to cause a problem.

Deploying "Speed World 2" in the WRGP (World Racing Grand Prix) was planned from the very beginning, and its first use in a global Turbo Duel tournament was supposed to be one of the event's major highlights.
And now, the new leader simply waved his hand and just axed it...

Jakob and Lester had already accepted reality and remained silent.
But just then, faint ripples appeared in the air.
The void split open like a door, and a white-clad figure stood visible in that translucent doorway.
It was Primo, the last Iliaster Pure Noble, who'd supposedly been handling business elsewhere and was now storming through the portal, fuming with anger.
"What's this about a new Leader?!"
Upon entering, he saw the helpless expressions of Lester and Jakob—and Kira, who was clearly the new Supreme Leader.
Primo's eyes widened.
"You—you're the one...?"
He shot questioning looks at his two old colleagues. They met his gaze and nodded helplessly.
Jakob, Primo, and Lester were, in fact, one being. Before being split and copied into three androids, they'd been one person: Aporia, one of Z-ONE's closest friends.
Each represented Aporia at a different stage of life, embodying his greatest despairs.
As a child, he witnessed his parents' deaths, giving rise to Lester—the despair of "losing everyone who ever loved him."
In his youth, he lost his lover in a resistance war—thus was born Primo, the despair of "losing the one you love most."
As an old man surviving the apocalypse, watching relatives, lovers, friends die off until he was left with nothing and came to need love no longer—out of this final, utter despair came Jakob.
Among these, Primo, the embodiment of Aporia's youth, had the worst temper. As Jakob put it, a man at that age values dignity above all else.
Getting a new boss parachuted in? Absolute humiliation!
"God himself appointed him as the new Boss?" Primo sneered, sizing Kira up. "I see nothing special about this guy..."
"Primo..." Jakob tried to chide him.
But Kira waved it off with a smile, "A capable subordinate is bound to have lots of opinions. Understandable. I've already sparred a bit with your two partners—my deck barely even had time to cool down! Why don't you try me too?"
Primo let out a cold laugh. "With pleasure!"
Jakob seemed as if he wanted to intervene but thought better of it and remained silent.
Lester didn't stop it either—he even looked on with eager, expectant delight, letting out a sinister, "Hehehe..."
Primo found their odd reactions confusing, but he didn't dwell on it. He barked, "All right! Let me show you the power of my Meklord Emperor Wisel!"
But the moment he declared his beloved Wisel's name, Lester laughed even harder, as if he couldn't wait for what was coming.
"Weirdo," Primo muttered.
Kira: "I won't take advantage. You go first."
Primo sneered, "Don't regret it! My turn—draw!"
"I normal summon Wise Core!"

"Activate Spell Card: Chaos Bloom! If there isn't a card with the same name in my graveyard, destroy a monster with ATK less than 1000 on the field.
I destroy my own Wise Core!"
"When Wise Core is destroyed, its effect activates! I Special Summon 'Wisel Top', 'Wisel Attack', 'Wisel Guard', and 'Wisel Carrier' from the deck, as well as 'Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity'!"
"Combine! Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity!"
The five white mecha parts merged—head, limbs all attached to the infinite core. Crimson lines flared on its jet-black helmet, the infinity loop spun in its chest.

"Summoning Meklord Emperor on turn one—impressive," Kira commented. "Now, it's my turn. Draw."
"You have monsters; my field is empty. So, I Special Summon Cyber Dragon from my hand."

Primo eyed Cyber Dragon and scoffed. "A high-level monster you can just summon outright? Admirable, but thinking that alone will defeat my Meklord Emperor..."
Kira: "I fuse Cyber Dragon, Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity, Wisel Top, Wisel Carrier, Wisel Attack, and Wisel Guard—six monsters in total—as materials to Fusion Summon—
—Chimeratech Fortress Dragon!"
Primo: "!?"
