Chapter 9 - chapter 6: Heart of Bullets

The technique is so powerful that it sends everyone flying — even the Chief, Lima, and Ling. Only Asumi is saved, creating a shield that prevents him from being blown away. After that, he faces these people head-on.

Asumi uses his rifle technique, "Demonic Bullets," and manages to hit them — but they regenerate in seconds (around eight seconds). They rush at Asumi, and a high-speed battle begins. Exhausted and in pain, Asumi uses every technique he has left.

"Rifle Technique: Life Bullets! Machine Gun Technique: Bullet Rain! Rifle Technique: Ricochet!" Asumi shouts, unleashing everything he's got.

Then he uses his most powerful move — Rifle and Machine Gun Technique: Lead Heart.

Flashback:

Four-year-old Asumi hears the news about people being murdered. He cries and tells his sick mother that he'll become a hero.

The next day, his mother dies by suicide, unable to bear her suffering any longer. Asumi doesn't cry, because he promised his mother he would become a hero — no matter what it takes.

No relatives want Asumi in their lives. They say he's too strange — a curse on the family.

A man known by his police title, Electric Umbrella, adopts Asumi to teach him what it means to be a true hero.

When Asumi turns eleven, the policeman gifts him a rifle and a machine gun. Asumi accepts them with pride.

Two months later, the policeman is killed by a murderer. Determined to stop people like that, Asumi joins the AC (Assassinating Criminals), vowing that if he has to die, he'll die as a hero.

End of flashback.

During his Lead Heart technique, Asumi pushes his strength to its absolute limit. The fight moves at blinding speed — but one of the enemies says,

"Before we kill you, we'll tell you our names."

They introduce themselves as Ila and Leo — and the very next second, they strike at Asumi...
