Chapter 96 - Great Harvest

Yunchuan walked into the shop and, following the guidance of the sigil on his brow, arrived beside a completely azure stone, about three feet wide and oval-shaped. Looking at the price written on the stone: 100 gold coins.

He turned his head and swept his gaze across the entire shop, discovering that aside from this stone before him, none of the other stones produced any reaction from the sigil on his brow.

Without hesitation, Yunchuan casually picked up the fully azure stone, walked to the counter, and said, "I'll take this stone."

"Alright, the price is one hundred gold coins." The cashier behind the counter wore a pleasant smile. Yunchuan nodded, casually took out a small bag of gold coins and placed it on the counter. Then he turned his wrist and stored the stone into his soul guide, and without a trace of delay turned around and left the shop.

He was already impatient to properly explore this Metal Capital. After all, he had barely entered the city gates when he encountered something that triggered the sigil on his brow. From this, it could be concluded that the city absolutely contained many similar items — practically an unexplored treasure trove!

During the next half month—

Yunchuan practically walked through every corner of the city, scavenging the entire Gengxin City. Anything hidden in this Metal Capital that could possibly be an undiscovered treasure, he collected all of them.

Only when the sigil on his brow no longer reacted and he confirmed there were no more treasures did he reluctantly stop scavenging.

Now, it was time to enjoy the harvest of the past half month.

Inside a spacious and hidden cave—

Yunchuan sealed the entrance, leaving only a small hole for ventilation. The cave had already been cleaned thoroughly by him; all rubble and miscellaneous items were swept away. The ground became incomparably flat, no longer rugged as before.

One by one, he took out from his soul guide the gains of the past half month. Very soon, more than half of the cave was filled with strange and unusual raw stones.

Yunchuan sat down on the spot, admiring his nearly half-month harvest. Feeling the restless throbbing of the sigil on his brow, a pleased expression surfaced on his face. He had a premonition — once all these extremely rare ores were fully absorbed, his physique would undergo a true transformation!

After appreciating them for a moment, it was time to begin the main task.

He first picked up the raw stone closest to him — a somewhat murky crystal. Judging by the crystal alone, its quality seemed quite poor, not very transparent. It was even slightly yellowish and impure in color.

However, within this crystal, there was a large amount of flickering golden light. This was exactly the same crystalline gold threads he had once obtained by luck from Flender. In this Metal Capital, he had once again managed to find a piece.

And compared to that previous lucky find from Flender, the purity of this piece was even higher — the amount of gold thread inside was extremely abundant. From the sigil's continuing reaction, it was obvious that this crystal still served a purpose for him.

Yunchuan extended his index finger — his nail suddenly elongated, turning sharp like a claw. It seemed forged from the purest gold, reflecting a chilling gleam!

He lightly traced a small circle on the surface of the crystal. Instantly, the entire crystal emitted a hiss, as if air were escaping — obviously the internal pressure had released through the cut he made.

He removed the cut-out circular piece, revealing a round opening on the crystal. Through the hole, the curled, grain-sized gold threads inside could be seen.

Without hesitation, Yunchuan directly raised the crystal with both hands, aligned the opening with his mouth, and poured the grain-sized golden particles inside straight into his mouth.

The sigil at his brow continuously released strange fluctuations. The moment those golden particles entered his mouth, they transformed into streams of warm currents and flowed toward his lungs… Yunchuan could feel his physique strengthening — his skin became tougher, muscles more powerful, and even his bones underwent wondrous changes…

"Hah…爽 (refreshing)!"

After finishing all the gold threads inside the crystal, he casually tossed aside the empty crystal shell and exhaled deeply. His condition felt better than ever!

After eating the gold threads—

Yunchuan set his eyes on the next target: a jet-black ore. The surface of the ore emitted faint cold air, appearing like a lump of pitch-black iron ore. It was the largest raw stone in the cave — about a meter in diameter — yet its weight was astonishing.

He looked at the ore, raised his right hand, and formed a hand-knife gesture. His entire hand gradually shone with golden light — the Geng Metal force from the sharp crystalline gold threads caused his hand to seem like an indestructible divine blade!

One chop!

Crack!

The whole black ore emitted a crisp crack as a streak of golden light spread from the contact point across the entire stone. The network-like golden light enveloped the ore and seeped inward — yes, the feeling was exactly that of penetration.

A series of crisp cracking sounds echoed. Thin smoke burst from the ore's surface. Under Yunchuan's chop, the sharp force of Geng Metal shredded everything!

The outer layer of the ore evenly shattered. Immediately afterward, a thick cold aura spread outward, and the cave's temperature plummeted rapidly.

Yunchuan waved his hand, sweeping away the shattered outer layer, revealing the inner ore — also black, yet without the slightest impurity! Even someone unfamiliar with metals could instantly tell this ore was far from ordinary iron.

He took out a thick booklet from his soul guide. The cover read "Encyclopedia of Rare Ores." Yunchuan began patiently searching through it. Very soon, he found information about this metal.

"Oh! So it's Coldheart Iron Essence — and such a massive piece at that!" Yunchuan was filled with surprise.

According to the book, Coldheart Iron Essence was one of the hardest metals on the continent and extremely rare! Even in all of Gengxin City, there existed no more than five kilograms of it. Yet the piece before him weighed hundreds of kilograms. Its price would be astronomical if sold!

But Yunchuan was not lacking money. Naturally, he would never sell such a treasure capable of transforming his physique. No amount of money could compare — for him, this was beyond value.

After identifying the ore, Yunchuan eagerly extended his sharp nail and sliced off a tiny piece of the pitch-black metal, then cautiously placed it in his mouth…

The sigil again emitted mysterious fluctuations!

Coldheart Iron Essence — melted the moment it touched his tongue!
