Chapter 187: Cutting Off Her Arms

After screaming several times, Obito suddenly reacted, hastily kowtowing before Yasushi again, desperately banging his head as he begged:

"Yasushi, please, save Rin again!"

"I'll do anything you want, just save Rin again!"

Yasushi was enjoying watching the show from the side—naturally he didn't want this grand performance to end so soon. Of course he'd save Rin. But saving was one thing—he couldn't save her so easily.

"Alas!" Yasushi sighed, not directly saving anyone. Instead he said playfully: "Obito, have you considered—even if I revive Rin now, if she tries to commit suicide again later, what will you do?"

"Right now I'm beside you, arriving in time to save her. But if I'm not around in the future when she commits suicide again, who can you find to save her?"

"This time she destroyed her heart—I can still save her. Next time if she destroys her brain, saving her will be difficult."

Previously Obito's mind was completely filled with thoughts of saving Rin—he'd never considered this matter. Now reminded by Yasushi's words, Obito's body immediately froze. His entire person once more fell into confusion.

Just thinking about this possibility made Obito feel his heart would stop beating—a great terror spontaneously arising in his heart.

"No, no, that won't happen, it won't happen..." Obito lost all composure, completely panicking.

"Oh? Whether it will or not, don't you know in your own heart?"

Yasushi smiled cheerfully while watching, especially enjoying Obito's terrified appearance. The more he looked at Obito now, the more pleasing to the eye.

Obito spun around twice in place, suddenly blessed with inspiration. He prostrated himself at Yasushi's feet, repeatedly kowtowing and begging:

"Master, you definitely have a method."

"Please, Master, help your poor little dog Obito again!"

"Haha..." Seeing Obito like this, Yasushi grew even happier, beaming with joy: "Wanting to stop Rin from committing suicide is actually very simple—it just depends whether you're willing to do it."

"I'm willing, I'm willing! As long as I can stop Rin from committing suicide, I'm willing to use any method." Obito answered without thinking.

"Hehehe..." An evil expression suddenly surfaced on Yasushi's face. He lowered his head, bringing his face before Obito and whispering in his ear: "If she wants to commit suicide, she needs to use her hands! If you cut off both her arms, naturally she can't commit suicide!"

"Ah?!" Obito was immediately frightened. His body repeatedly shrank backward, his head shaking like a rattle drum. "No, no, Master! This won't work! I won't hurt Rin."

"Master, please think of another method!"

"Please, Master."

"Hmph!" Yasushi sneered coldly, leaning his body backward with an indifferent attitude. "I've taught you the method. Whether you do it is your own business—you can't blame me for not giving you ideas."

"Think carefully—if you just cut off her hands, won't you have to feed her when eating in the future?"

"Won't she have to rely on you for dressing and using the toilet too?"

"Without both arms from now on, she can only depend on you for survival."

"Won't this make your feelings for each other grow better and better?"

"Isn't this good?"

Yasushi was like a demon, constantly tempting beside Obito's ear, describing the benefits of cutting off Rin's arms.

Obito's throat moved—he unconsciously swallowed saliva. His face also showed some longing expression, but quickly he shivered, retreating backward in horror.

"No, no, no! This won't work! I can't hurt Rin! I won't cut off Rin's hands."

"Hehe, you can't bear to cut her hands, but you can bear watching her die?" Yasushi glanced at him sideways, sneering.

"No, no! She can't die, can't die..." Obito anxiously spun in circles. "I want to be with Rin forever! I can't let Rin die!"

"Then cut off her hands!"

"Can't cut! Can't cut!"

"Then let her die!"

"Can't die! Can't die!"

"Tch! This won't work, that won't work either—you're making things difficult for me!"

Yasushi gazed at the sky, no longer speaking, ignoring Obito no matter how he pleaded.

After a while, seeing Obito still unable to choose, Yasushi added more fuel to the fire.

"Let me tell you—my eye technique can only heal injuries, not resurrect."

"Rin's heart shattered. If not treated early, I'm afraid she can't be saved."

"Think carefully yourself about how to choose. You decide. No one's forcing you."

Under tremendous pressure, that string in Obito's mind finally snapped.

That trace of Mangekyo Uchiha obsession ultimately prevailed.

He wanted to save Rin!

He wanted to be with Rin forever!

"Fine! I'll cut!"

Obito's face filled with madness, both eyes blood-red, facial muscles twitching. Drool flowed from the corners of his mouth.

"Haha! Choosing this way earlier wouldn't have been better?"

"This time, no one forced you—this is completely your own choice!"

Yasushi cheerfully stood up, extending his hand to hold Rin in his embrace, beginning to activate Yang Release chakra to treat Rin.

Fortunately he'd now obtained the Tenseigan, giving his body's chakra the ability to transform toward Yin-Yang Release. His power had progressed somewhat—otherwise treating a shattered heart would require great effort.

Soon, Rin awakened again.

Opening her eyes, Rin looked at Obito's excited face before her.

Instinctively, she raised the kunai in her hand again.

Yasushi had deliberately left it in her hand.

This time she aimed at her own temple.

"No!"

Yasushi's previous words instantly flashed through Obito's mind. His pupils contracted. Almost without thinking, he drew his blade and with two swift "whoosh" sounds, cleanly severed both of Rin's arms.
