(Jayjay POV)
It had been two weeks since the tragedy, but the atmosphere at school still felt heavy. Friday morning, I walked toward the Section E building with Kiefer. Normally, we'd be laughing, teasing, or talking about plans, but today the silence was heavy, filled with worry for Adrian and his sister.
When we entered the classroom, Adrian and Ciel's seats were empty. My heart sank. Kiefer and I exchanged a worried glance. Just as we were sitting down, Ciel walked in. She had a small smile, but her eyes betrayed the sadness she was trying to hide.
She greeted us softly, "Good morning ." Her voice carried a weight I hadn't heard before.
I watched her go over to Valerie, who was quietly flipping through her phone , not her usual lively self. The two spoke in Korean, their words swift and flowing, leaving the rest of the class clueless.
Suddenly, Valerie packed her things, closing her bag, and walked out. My curiosity got the better of me. "Ciel, what did you tell her?" I asked.
Ciel sighed and lowered her voice, "It's nothing much… I just told Valerie about Adrian. He's locked himself in his room and… he hasn't been eating properly for the past two weeks."
My eyes widened. Kiefer's did too. "Two weeks?" we both whispered in shock. "He hasn't eaten properly for two weeks?"
Ciel nodded quietly, her expression heavy. I felt a knot in my chest. The weight of worry for Adrian was suffocating. I silently vowed we had to do something to help him.
