(Valerie POV)
After finally coaxing Adrian out of his self-imposed isolation, he sat on the couch, and I turned on Tom and Jerry. His laughter, soft at first, then growing louder, warmed my heart.
I reached over, fixing his messy hair.
"이제 좀 나아보여. 잘생겼다, 내가 아는 바로 그 아드리안이야."
(You're looking better now. Handsome, just like the Adrian I know.)
He gave a small laugh, shaking his head.
Once the cartoon ended, I had a mischievous idea. I went to Adrian's room and grabbed two big toy guns he had lying around. I marched back to the living room, pointing one at him:
"준비됐어? 재미있는 시간 가질 거야!"
(Ready? Time for some fun!)
I tossed one to him, nearly missing, and we both laughed. Then I put on a K-pop song and we started chasing each other, firing the toy guns from the hall to the dining table, then the backyard, and back to the hall. We ran, dodged, and laughed until we were sweating and exhausted.
During a short water break, I couldn't resist a little mischief. I aimed the water Adrian was holding, spilling it all over his clothes and the floor. He lunged to attack me but slipped on the wet floor. I helped him up, grinning.
He chased me toward the door. I stood my ground and dodged his "shot," causing the bullet to hit David, who had just opened the door. Section E froze in shock.
"잘못된 사람 맞았어!"
(You got the wrong person!) I laughed
