Chapter 102 - Chapter 102 — “After the Storm”

(Jayjay's POV)

The rain had stopped, but its scent still lingered in the air. The room was quiet except for the steady beep of the monitor beside Keifer's bed.

He was still lying there, motionless, his face calm but pale. The doctors said he was lucky — that the fall could have killed him. His back was injured, but they managed to treat it.

As for me, I was fine… at least physically. They had already treated my wounds, but inside, everything still hurt.

I must have fallen asleep on the chair beside him, because I woke up to someone whispering my name.

"Jayjay…"

My eyes snapped open.

It was faint — but real.

"Keifer?" I gasped, standing quickly and leaning over him. His fingers twitched, his eyes blinking slowly open.

I shouted for the doctor, and within seconds, nurses rushed in. They checked his pulse, his breathing, his wound.

"He's fine," the doctor said finally, smiling. "Just keep him from moving too much so the wound doesn't open again."

I nodded quickly. "Yes, doctor. Thank you."

When they left, the door opened again — this time, it was the rest of the gang.

Adrian had his hand bandaged, Ci-N had scratches on his cheek, Yuri's arm was in a sling, and even david had a bruise on his forehead. But they were all smiling.

"Look who decided to wake up," Ci-N joked. "You scared the life out of us keif mostly Jay."

"I'm fine," I said softly, managing a small laugh.

Valerie , ciel, keagan and keiren entered next with Angelo. Keiren amd Keagan's eyes were swollen from crying, but Keagan smiled anyway.

"See? I told you their's strong."

Angelo sighed. "You people are never serious," he muttered, making everyone laugh a little.

The tension in the room finally broke. For the first time in a long while, everything felt peaceful.

"We can finally have a normal life again," I said quietly.

Calix raised an eyebrow. "Normal? With Section E? You're dreaming."

Everyone laughed again — weak but real.

That moment felt like a new beginning.

Days passed, and soon the hospital became a memory. We were all recovering — the bruises fading, the pain slowly leaving.

Keifer was allowed to go out, but he had to be careful not to reopen the wound.

Then Monday came —The ffinale exam week. This one is university entrance exams.

As always, Keifer and I walked to class together. Inside, it was chaos — Felix,Calix and Edrix arguing over answers, Valerie humming a song to calm her nerves, Yuri, david and adrian trying to remember formulas, and Ci-N sneaking snacks under the desk.

The teacher walked in and said,

"Books away. Exams start now."

And just like that, the week went by.

Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday.

By Friday, we were done.

When we left the hall, everyone screamed,

"Finally! We're free!"

We laughed, shouted, even danced a little in the hallway. For the first time, it felt like everything was truly over.

A month later…

Everyone gathered at Keifer's house again.

The results were finally out.

Laughter filled the room as they were. ready to compare scores and teased one another. I sat quietly on the couch, holding my own envelope — my heart pounding.

Keifer sat beside me, still smiling, looking stronger now.

"So…" he said softly, turning toward me.

"What school did you get, Jayjay?"
