"Why are you still here if you have already broken your chains?" Rion's question stilled the room.
Heavy stifling silence permeated all the corners until all of the pirates burst into a loud, guttural laughter.
Their cacophonous laugh was of no man or woman; it was something beyond them, and upon hearing it, Rion felt his heart beat loudly.
A strange enthusiasm filled his heart, and he too burst into laughter, no different than theirs.
The duke watched everything with a terrified expression, and the one who had been questioned answered in a dry, sickening tone, "I just followed the blue moon's wish..."
Rion and the pirates stopped laughing. He looked into the man's orange eyes and asked, "What is the blue moon?"
The man pushed himself up the ground as he walked closer to the bars and said, "It's the symbol that guides us to the true revolution, to the freedom we seek, and the devouring serpent who will end everything."
